Using QB Desktop 2024Using preprinted 2 per page W2's for 2024 The W2 information does not print correctly. The top info is prints ok, but the bottom is off by two lines. Any body else having an issue?
Opened a QuickBooks checking account less than a month ago. Then I wired money into that account on 12/5/2024 from Flagstar Bank, a US bank. I got confirmation from QuickBooks and Green Dot Bank that my money was received. I also received a debit card in the mail that I promptly activated on 12/6/2024. Three days later, on 12/9/2024, I got an email saying that my checking account was on hold and then I realized that have no access to my Green Dot Bank account by phone and/or online. The bank does not have my social security number and the debit card number is not working. I contacted QBO support but they say all they can do is to escalate the issue but do not elaborate on what does that mean or what would that do. Can anybody share some thoughts?
I have been getting multiple copies of the daily "Money on the Way" emails. Some days I get up to 20+ copies of the same email, all the same details. Anyone have this same issue, or how do I fix?
The Sales on dashboard for 2024 is different then P&L total income. Changing form cash to accrual still does not match up. Ideas?
Has there been a solution yet for matching multiple bank deposits to 1 sales receipt in undeposited funds? For example we deposit all checks via mobile deposit which all show up individually from the bank. These need to be combined to account for the undeposited funds. If there is no solution yet, what is the work around? Thank you.
How would you find a software expert to come onsite to help with unresolved issues. We are having issues with Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet pulling back in old data and not clearing out. We have items in there that are 2 years old that should have been gone by now. QuickBooks support and our IT person are unable to fix. We have over 6000 lines in our Pick & Pack tabs. I need help before it totally crashes.
We have a few contractors who would like to switch from 1099 to W2 for the year 2025. I have only done 1099s through QuickBooks. I'm not familiar with how to make that switch from 1099 to W2 and how to calculate their tax deductions for payroll.
I use Quickbooks Online Essentials which is sync'ed with bill.com. I created Purchase Orders in QBO to track liabilities to subcontractor/vendors. I've gone through Help section and tutorials on purchase orders and reached out to Help chat but none address how to apply to bills sync'ed from another service. With PO open and using the Copy to Bill feature creates a duplicate bill. Can anyone with experience provide more guidance please?
invoices do not match my format
I am using QuickBooks Online Essentials with Enhanced Payroll.Can someone please help me to know the best way to handle employee advances & repayments?Often the employees are written a check for say $200 in between payrolls and then pay it back on their next check. The employees are hourly if that matters.

By example I'm going to try and explain the issue:I'm on accrual based accountingDr. A is a W2 employee - Set up in CLASS "DrA-EE" (Taxes withheld from payroll)On 12/31/24, I owe Dr. A $10KI set-up the accrualsPROBLEM: On 1/1/25, Dr. A becomes a K-1 (1099) partner - Set up in a different CLASS "DrA-PNR" (Taxes are not withheld and if I just post the adjustments to this class they won't be charged taxes on the $10K I pay them in January)I am looking for a solution whereby I don't have to issue a W-2 and a K-1 to this person in 2025. In other words, what entries do I have to make to be able to accrue the money in 2024 and show the salary in 2025.I hope that make some sense.Thanks for your help.
Is there a way to create a 1099-NEC for contractor not setup as a vendor in quickbooks? It’s only one vendor that requires the 1099. Thank you.
I'm currently using Quickbooks Pro 2023 accountant edition. When preparing NYS-45 for the 4th qtr the employee name and wages no longer is being calculated and filled out. Part A and Part B is populated but not Part C.
I have a horror story about QB in recent weeks but I won't go into detail in this post. All I want to do is totally turn off data protect and reinstall it. My app is stuck on "Your session has expired. Sign out from Intuit Data Protect and sign in again." But I can't sign out. When I click on Sign Out I get another dialog box with OK and Cancel radio buttons. Clicking either one just brings me back to the previous screen. This issue has been going on for 5 days and my company file has not been backed up online since January 11th. I need to uninstall just this part of QB (or actually be able to sign out and back in) or update it to the most recent version, which it also can't do as long as it's in this error mode.

How do I create a vendor ledger report? I want to see all bills, bill payments, credit memos, etc. for a specific vendor. How do I do it in QB Online? In Quickbooks desktop there was a beautiful report called "vendor balance summary" and when clicking into one vendor, you could see everything from this vendor. Where can I find this in QB Online?
For instance, if I receive a PO for $1000 of services, and then I invoice for $100 of services provided, is there a place to see the PO balance of $900?
Hi Folks- I need some help with the new PayPal Connector app. I had been using PayPal sync for many years with no problems. The PayPal Connector is importing all of my transactions. PayPal transaction fees are accounted for properly. No problems there. The problem is that I can only categorize transactions as "payments" and "expenses". There is no option for a PayPal transaction to be categorized as a "transfer" like there was prior to moving to the PayPal Connector. Use case: I have a PayPal Working Capital loan. Every time I receive a PayPal payment, a separate transaction is created to transfer a certain percent of the payment to my loan. Those transactions show up in the PayPal Connector as expenses. I don't have a way to record these transactions as transfers to the PayPal Loan account in QBO. Any help would be appreciated.
Does Accountant's Copy give my accountant access to the "Other Names List"? If so, can I deny them access in some way? It contains sensitive information that they do not need. Thank You.
In January 2024 we made a payroll liability adjustment for taxable life insurance from 0.83 to -0-. On the employee's W2 the adjustment is reflected correctly in box 1 wages but not in box 3 Social Security wages, box 5 Medicare wages and box 16 state wages. What entries do we need to make so that the same amount is showing in all 4 wage boxes?
I need to run a report in which I can see all payments made for a specific date range (Example 02/17/2020 - 02/24/2020) for multiple accounts. I tried to run a sales by customer detail reports and a sales by item detail report but it only shows the payments made for the invoices dated 02/17/2020 - 02/24/2020. I need to be able to see payments that were made towards invoices even if they are outside the date range. This seems like it should be a very simple report but I can't figure it out for the life of me!
Somehow the inventory per lot number is not matching up.For example, Lot #100Starting Inventory 468Inventory Transfer to another warehouse -444Customer Invoice -24 The balance should be 0, but instead, the lot number is still showing there are 84 pieces left. Why? If I create a new invoice, it shows there are 84 pieces still available on Lot #100, and also when I go to the inventory center it shows there as well. Why is this? (Qb Version is Enterprise Retail 23.0)
The old quickbooks had a P & L report by job you could customize to show each job expense % of income. Is there one on quickbooks on line?? If so how can I build one.
