I'm trying to get everything set up to start having our guys track time on their phones, but when I do in to set permissions, most of our employees don't show up to choose from. Is there a setting somewhere I'm not aware of to turn on time tracking for each employee? I did a test myself and was able to clock in and then it showed up in QBO, but I don't know if it's automatic when they install and sign up for Workforce. HELP!!!

I want to collect only cash payment option, but I want to also send the customers an invoice. I'm able to remove the credit card option, but it doesnt seem like I can remove the BANK payment option. How can this be removed from showing up in the invoice?
I am a municipality and we have a person that does taxable work as an employee and also is an election worker which doesn't have FICA withheld unless I expect them to make more than $2,000/year in election wages (I don't expect that to happen) How can I have FICA withheld from one job duty but not the other?
My client has two Chase Visa credit cards that are on a combined bank statement. In QBO, the two credit cards were set up as individual COA accounts and individual bank feeds. Credit Card #1 is where all the payments and interest come through on the bank feed and has a lot of historical transactions. Credit Card #2 only has actual CC transactions ... no payments nor interest. Credit Card #1 is reconciled though 5/14/2019. Credit Card #2 had its first charge on the next statement. Credit Card #2 also has a large opening balance which I think is incorrect since nothing had been charged on the card. When I look at the Audit History of the opening balance transaction for Credit Card #2, it is a Credit Card Credit and added by Online Banking Administration on July 8, 2019. Is this something that happened when someone connected the bank feed? My main question is how do I reconcile these accounts from the combined statements from 5/14 onwards without messing up all the historical transactions
I am running Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2024 on Windows 11 (as a VM under Parallels on a MacBook Pro). I am having trouble downloading my AMEX credit card charges. Specifically:I press the "Bank Feeds" button in the menu ribbon. This opens a Window that says "Sit tight, we're fetching your data"It then shows the "Account Information" screen where it shows my current AMEX balance (after it connects with AMEX) and a message that says "21 transactions are waiting to be added to QuickBooks". When I press the blue "Transaction List" button, the screen changes to the one that would normally list all of the pending transactions. It shows a status message of "Please wait... We are working on your Transaction(s)".Then QB crashes with an Unrecoverable Error. The code is1407144908 17340. I explain what I was trying to do, provide my email address and press "Send". In the Report.xml file that it uploads with the error report, I see the following in the <ExceptionInfo>
Have previously used the reminder function. Would start by clicking edit and create, make any changes needed for the billing period, then save. If I recall correctly, this is the point at which the payment would be processed and a 'Transaction Processed' hyperlink would appear below the payment account details. When I started this quarter's process on Thursday 10/19, that 'Processed' link did not appear, but when I checked the client account, the sales receipt was showing as paid. Given that Quickbooks has made other changes to sales form templates, I thought that maybe this change was part of those updates. I continued working through the reminders Friday and today and finally decided to check our merchant services account today to find that nothing has processed. I spoke with Merchant Services support who confirmed that there was a system issue and suggested changing Quickbooks Payments - Bank, which is what we have always used, to Check. That did not work. I have converted to the new invoice template, however I can not figure out how to add times sales. previously there was an arrow in the upper right hand corner that could expand to show link expenses. The new template lists linked transactions but does not have my timed sales that was there before the conversion. How do I revert to old template or find my timed sales?
I'm looking for a way to pull a report that allows me whether a customer is assigned or it is blank for transactions within an account. Is there a way to do this in QB Desktop? If not an option in Desktop, is it an option in QB Online? I don't see a way to do this in the Transaction Detail by Account report or the Transaction List by Customer report. I've also struck out with the Custom Transaction Detail report. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Total invoice: $11,162.29Payment(s): $8,300.00Current balance: $2,862.29 We had a customer cancel a contract with us so we have refunded their initial deposit of $8,300.00 via check on 12/6. What is the best way to record this in QB to close out the invoice? Would I process a refund receipt (for the refund which is already cleared and in bank feed) and a credit memo (to zero out the rest of the balance showing)?

Actually in the subject of the post lies the main problem. For days now I've been trying to transfer money from Quickbooks Checking to my bank account, but it keeps giving me an error. I tried 3 different bank accounts, but nothing helps. Screenshot of the error attached.
I have a "due from member" amount on my QB that is showing as a "loan to member" on my balance sheet. My CPA did this due to a Covid-19 EIDL loan that inflated the business funds and resulted in the LLC paying out more than it took in as revenue. If the LLC "forgives" the loan it will trigger a taxable event. I have contributed/loaned money to the LLC through the years when there was extra available. Is there some way to offset the "loan" or "due from member" amount with these contributions?Mud

Hi. Our server went down. After the restore, I am seeing payments in the undeposited account but when I try to bank them they do not appear. They are not listed in the bank account or in the deposit detail report. However when I try to delete them, the message says to delete the deposit first. How can I get these deposits from undeposited to the bank account?
I had a customer make an 18k payment to me via Quickbooks Payments (first mistake right there).Quickbooks payments "withholds" the funds. I call in and they tell me I can reverse the payment and have the customer pay a different way.Guess what? Reversing the payments means that Quickbooks Payments TOOK another 18k straight from my bank account to send to the customer while holding on to the the original 18k!I have no idea how to get this resolved. Support is useless. Stealing 18k can cripple a small business. Absolutely criminal.Oh, and the Quickbooks Payments portal looks like it came out of 2005 and is barely usable.AVOID ALL INTUIT SERVICES THEY TRY TO SIGN YOU UP FOR.

Is there a way to customize an AR Aging Report to always exclude a particular Customer? In other words, I want to filter the report to always include all customers except for a specific one. Since our customer base is dynamic, new customers are added continuously. I cannot rely on a static filter to specify customers to include; rather, I want to specify a list of customer(s) to exclude. Bottom line: I want to avoid having to select all customers and then deselect this one customer each time I run the report. Thank you!
How can i access the same file on two different quickbooks desktop computers in two different locations?
My client has added another card user to one of their accounts. I have successfully created a sub account and proceeded with reconciliation of the parent account. Everything seems to be working EXCEPT the bank feed. (Chase Bank!) You can see how this is setup in the attachment below. Also, what's with the huge $50k balances in QBO compared to bank balance? I don't see any unreconciled items or weird opening balances in those two registers? The math balances to the bank balance but I don't know why those numbers are so high? When I open the registers in the two sub accounts, everything is correctly reconciled. I'm OK with manually importing transactions using a .CSV; however this comes in ONE file with both cards listed. Can I import this into the parent account or do I have to import these individually to each of the sub accounts? This would be a little clumsy, but I might be able to do a little excel trickiness prior to importing. I'm not concerned at a
