how can i have my part numbers populate when sending to vendor?
Each quarter, my business is required to file the Oregon Quarterly Tax Report and then pay the associated taxes. For some reason, Quickbooks filed this report on April 8th but didn't pay until April 30th when the tax was due. This triggered a letter from the Oregon Department of Revenue to state that my taxes were overdue, and I was assessed a penalty. I spoke to someone from the Department of Revenue who admitted that the report should have not been issued, but they know it will happen every quarter if Quickbooks continues to file so early without paying. How do I get Quickbooks to change the date they're filing? There's no reason for them to file so early. I called support today, and as usual I was pulling my hair out by the time I hung up. QB reps have no idea what's going on, place you on hold for so long only to come back and repeat what they think you said (and get it wrong), then put you on hold again. This rep asked me to provide the letter from

For the last 4 years me dress has been set it settings to my warehouse, so when I create a new purchase order it defaults the delivery address. This evening, it is giving me a strange mix of my registered address and my warehouse address. on checking in settings > accounts settings. the address has changed. it has kept the county, but the first line, city and postcode has changed. my email gas also reverted to an email address I stopped using 3 years ago
Hi, I was late paying my VA Unemployment tax. QB says I cannot efile/pay when it is late, so I paid through the state website. How do I show the payment in QB Desktop when it won't allow me to pay it under "Pay Liabilities" because it requires I file the form at the same time. I don't know how to wipe it out. Thanks
This question in regards to bank reconciliation. Also, how do I edit this ending balance amount as of a certain bank date?
I imported QB Desktop to QB Online a couple of days ago. Everything matched perfectly: register balance matched the bank balance, Balance Sheet and Statement of Activities numbers matched to the penny. Today I connected my bank account with transactions starting 1/1/24. That connection changed the register balance in QBO to an incorrect number, though the bank balance is still correct. Got on the phone with QBO support, one of the more frustrating experiences I have had recently, and after poking around for awhile, the support representative had me comparing bank statements to equivalent periods in the QBO register. He suggested that I needed to go back and do that until I found where the errors were. I asked if I couldn't just wipe the data out and reimport from Desktop again, and he said that I would have to cancel the subscription, get a refund, create a new company, subscribe again, etc. That made no sense. So after declining the sales pitch he made aft
I received an email that my QB checking account was closing, no other information. I tried the customer service number for QB and was told to wait. After almost 45 minutes on hold, I have no information why my account was closed. According to other articles, they will close the account if there is a violation on the use, or if I am doing something illegal, neither apply. I would love to know what I did wrong. I have a main operating account elsewhere, so I do not have an issue, but it made payment processing very handy to have the QB checking account.
trying to move from QBD (premier Plus Pro) to QBO+ bit it's becoming frustrating.... I imported 25 years worth of data into QBO... all went OK with some various problems One major one is that in QBD we had many jobs with "children"... Client>Job>sub-job where the clients for the "sub-job" was the "job". The sub-job is a "child" to the Job. I went to convert all of our jobs into projects in QBO. The problem is that it will only covert the job furthest out on the tree... so with the Client>Job>sub-job scenario, only the "sub-job" will convert to a project. If there is a Job without a sub-job then the Job will convert. I have spent hours on the phone with QB support and was essentially told it wasn't possible to convert a Job with children into a project.... they said I could create a new project then go in and associate all of the expenses with it, but that would literally take months of work.... &n

If anyone has gotten a better answer or figured out a way to have the ability to enter time on a job when there is a sub-job I would sure appreciate it.
Hello, I made an advance payment to a vendor in December to secure a booking for travel in January. The invoice was received, charged to travel expense and paid. However, given that the expense will be incurred in January what is the appropriate way to record this? Thanks.
I am trying to import bank transactions from a bank that does not support Web Connect.- My bank only allows downloads for Excel, Comma Separated Values, Micrsoft Money, and Quicken. My quickbooks only allows import for IIF File, Quicken, and Web Connect, none of which I have.I don't not have Quicken or IIF. I only have Excel and Numbers(almost identical program). Is there any way to download or convert the Excel file so I can import in quickbooks.I have been at this for MONTHS!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!Many thanks,Shelby
Problems with bank deposits matching: some transactions match just fine and others, that are exactly the same type of transaction, return inaccurate matching results and not the sales receipt that it should match to, despite that the sale receipt is open and out there? Some match results return all open sales receipts in the result set and others (same criteria) returns a small subset--no reason why. Contacted QB support multiple times, they scratch their heads, and ask me to jump through hoops and show them the problem and then close the case without ever getting back to me.
I want to job cost projects
Does anyone know of a way to efficiently batch invoice sub-customers with a parent? I have 80 sub-customers with a parent company and I am struggling to do this with any of the interfaces QBO provides.Online Spreadsheet Batch View:QBO invalidates duplicated rows for customers with a parent upon submission. It requires you to MANUALLY go back and re-select the customer from the drop-down to refresh the cell. Also, there is no way to select multiple customers at once in the drop down menu when selecting “duplicate for multiple customers”. You have to manually click each one to append. A check box system would be easier here.Spreadsheet Sync:No field for parent company, so it treats the customer name as a new customer upon upload. No attempt to fetch or match meta data to carry into invoice.CSV Template Import:Several fields are missing which invalidates the method right away.Does anyone have a way around this? Thank you in advance!
This is a long post with several questions - sorry. We have a Cash Box in our home. When we started with QBO several weeks ago, I thought the Undeposited Funds could simply be equivalent to our Cash Box, so I entered the amount in the box as the opening balance (equity) of Undeposited Funds. I have gotten 20 contributions which I've added to Undeposited Funds in QBO and to our Cash Box. Now there are a total of 21 line items in Undeposited Funds - the 20 contributions and the opening balance. Then I deposited money in our bank. The amount of the deposit was greater than the 20 contributions by about $500 U.S. but less than the total in the Cash Box. Now I can't figure out how to enter the Bank Deposit in QBO because: a) There seems to be no way to split the Opening Balance in the checklist to make up the difference. b) If I try to bypass the Opening Balance and enter part of
