We are a consultancy business that operates two sets of products; (i) hourly-rate advisory, (ii) a contingency-based fee with a fixed percentage of tax reclaims. We use QBO Advanced. ExampleWe reclaim £10,000.00 in overpaid tax and keep 10% as a fee.Therefore, we invoice the client for £1,000.00 QuestionIs there a correct way to structure the Estimate/Invoice for the contingency-based fee products? I am struggling with the imagination on how to make this work and the future permutations for this (for example, the Estimate is at 10,000.00 but we only get 8000.00 back in reclaims. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I am new to MTD and my first QUARTERLY return was for period 010322 to 310522 now I'm trying to submit second QUARTERLY return the VAT report is only showing results for 010622 to 300622??? How do I make the report show results for the Quarter 010622 to 310822??? Many thanks

Or should they be MX records? Why is there so many? Why isn't there a QuickBooks SPF record?

Have we a definitive list of the QB standard VAT codes applicable for DRC transactions - sales and purchasealsois there a proforma sales invoice to reflect the DRC including tax summary or rate - ive looked at amending a current invoice but the only thing i seem to be able to do would be add the Reverse VAT statementandhow can the DRC be reflected on any DRC subcontract Purchase Order many thankspaul
I get emails telling me that a bill has been issued, suggests clicking on the radio button in the email but nothing happens.
A client I have does not close out the books at all, I'm not even sure what reports she gave to her CPA to complete taxes for last year. The CPA made mistakes on her taxes and so she doesn't want me to touch the entries from last year. If i make the bank account inactive and create a new bank account with the same number can I then use the year end bank balance to start over for this year?

Hi If I go to Taxes/VAT then choose a VAT quarter I can run a VAT detail report. However, it seems that this can only be printed, not exported to Excel. I can run a VAT detail report from Reports/VAT and exort it but it isn't the same report. Is there a way of exporting the first report? Thanks JF
Hi all, When Sum up pay us they have already taken the charge from the value so a customer invoice at £150 only comes through the bank at £147.20. They then send a monthly charge invoice which will include the charge. eg this month invoice £2.80. Worldpay do it differently the full amount is paid then they take the charge later. I want the customer invoice through QB and the Sum up bill for £2.80 but how do I match the payments from the bank. - its ok if possibly one , but if there are a lot of invoices how can I do this. it previously only been posted once sum up pay us, but then technically Sum up are the customer.any help would be appreciated please and thanks
Some expenses are there but loads are missing
There's a couple features I'd really like but for some reason they are absent.If I have 10 transactions for my car expenses, for example, I'd like to be able to select all 10 at once, hit split, and set the percentage to split by.Better still, I'd love a preset for splitting whereby I could create a 80/20 split and call it 'Car', then apply that split preset to any transactions that fall into the car expenses category.I can't do either of these things but they seem easy to implement.Are there any plans to add these features?It's a real pain having to go through 10 transactions one at a time and manually setting the same percentage to split by for each one.
Hi I use sumup as a means for customers to pay, it is not on the list of accounts to sync to. How do i show transactions for here?
I've just had a tax code for an employee automatically updated by HMRC, but when trying to run this month's payroll I have a Quickbooks notice - Add simon’s info to pay them.I've checked everything in his info and it is all there and correct, I've re-entered everything and saved, but it makes no difference. Hi,I'm wondering if anyone can help me.I've just run our 1st payroll for Apr 1 - 30th and generated my 1st payslip.However upon opening the 1st payslip, it has an incorrect total for Year To Date (Employee Totals)I thought it maybe due to the payroll being late (whole other story) and so I tried to generate the next one, being May, and that just added more to the total.When I started it, everything was set to 0 and I'm a little confused as to what I have done to create this issue.Any help would be much appreciated.Thank you. Note: I'm trying to add a wage of £1047.50 pm, this is what the May payslip looks like
Hi, We've recently swapped over to Quickbooks, I'm processing the office staff wages for the first time and I've noticed that for some reason Quickbooks isn't caculating the NI deductions correctly. I have previous payslips in front of me, PAYE & Pension deductions are exactly the same but for some reason the NI deduction is less than they've been deducted before.
