I have Quick books online and am trying to add an accountant. The pop up says "Let's make sure you're you Choose how you want to verify your identity." but then it is blank beneath with no way to verify. I have tried on both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge with no success. I have logged in and out, refreshed but no luck. No issues with any other verifications at this time but I am frustrated I can't find a solution.
Hello,I'm new to QBO and trying to understand how to categorize things a little better.It seems that categories in the Banking section are different than those in the Expenses section. I used my checking to pay contractors, but I don't see a category for this under Banking, and I'm not sure whether it's a good practice to create a new category for this, since it already exists elsewhere.Any tips on this?
Is corporation tax paid by a corporation an deductible expense? or debit the retain earning? Pls reply to [email address removed] Thanks.

Hello QB experts! ( QB desktop user)I need your help finding out what is the best way to deal with the following transactions:I receive payments tuition payments on behalf of my clients (students) and transfer this paymentto the universities ( no profits here) just a transfer.How do I set up this transaction? I have added the students as customers and the schools as vendors, but I don't know how to deal with the transaction...I was invoicing the students for the tuition, but it was coming to me as income, but then, I got lost on how to deal with the payment that I was making to the universities with the students money? The other part of this transaction, is that after the student is admitted, I invoice the schools for a commission fee, again , I am confused on how to deal with this. Any help is greatly appreciated! Can I show the Cheque # in the Transaction Detail by Account Report on QBD? When I pull the report, I select "Cheque #" as an extra column but the cheque # does not actually show...how can I get it to show? The cheque has been printed and assigned a cheque #. Thanks!

When in the bank feed, I choose the transaction I need to find a match for, like multiple invoices with one payment, once I've chosen the correct invoices and hit save and returns to the bank feed, that same transaction is still in the feed as if it was never matched. You have to keep refreshing the browser in order for the transaction to go away. Can this be fixed please.
I have a charity that received a donation of service work on their parking lot. Instead of charging the charity for the work, the owner of the company had them write a receipt for a donation. How do I enter this in the charities books?
Our employee wanted an advance on her pay. On the Monday, we gave her a cheque for $350. When payroll was done for the Friday, we just did it like normal, but then wrote the cheque for $350 less (being $287.45) for a total of $637.45. I tried to combine the two cheques to match the one paycheque, but cannot find a way. A post from 2020 says it's not possible, but surely it is now because it seems to be more common than I thought.
Does anyone know of a clear upgrade path from QB 2009 to QB 2020?Thanks

We just successfully finished migrating our inventory from an old Wasp database into Quickbooks. In Wasp, when adding new inventory without a current line item, it automatically generated a new item number. I was able to give it an initial counter of 100000. When adding a new line item it would automatically generate the number. We're on 104353 currently. Is there a way to have Quickbooks continue on this item number counter?
One if the client invoices his clients for the total of contract and taxes. Then he set up a payment plan. It is usually pay taxes upfront and a deposit ( first payment). Then the remainder of the amount is split in 12 equal payments. The payment plan could vary depending on the client.How can I set up automatic remainder in QBO of the outstanding amount and amount due each month?It has to be automated due to big volume of clients and different payment plan.
I'm having an issue where when I update my bank in QBO it will update the balances, but will not bring over the transactions from my bank. What can I do to resolve this?
