My company is incorporated. I paid for the new car with the debt transation, and then recorded the transaction as a assesst transfer. I can not claim the car purchase an expense. How do I record the HST payment for the transaction in the Quickbookonline? Thank you for your help.
I registered for QuickBooks online payroll Canada. Everything was good until bank account was verified. Once verification was complete i went to run payroll but employees payment method is shown as Paper Cheque. When i went change to Direct Deposit. The option is not highlighted
Hello!I have come up with a strange problem that I can't seem to solve.I am using Quickbooks online with my MacBook Air as well as my Android Samsung Galaxy Phone S22 (which is new as of a couple of weeks ago). I can email invoices from my computer, but although emails *appear* to go through on my phone, they don't actually send.Any thoughts? Is this a setting that I just need to configure? It seems to have started when I got my new phone.Amanda

I have 8 years worth of payments to the Ministry of Finance in which PST due was paid by cheque directly out of the PST payables account, with the commission going into "non operating revenues". (So expenses would show $60 to PST payable, -20 to non-op income, and the cheque amount $40.) The "file sales tax" has never been used. I have tried to reverse these a variety of ways without affecting the trial balance for a given year, but something always changes, presumably because if it was done properly the commission wouldn't have gone to non-operating revenue. If I try to do this in the current fiscal year by adjusting out the "unassigned amounts" (the amount on 8 years worth of cheques to the ministry), the unassigned amount doesn't change. How do I get QB to recognized that the unassigned amounts were PST payments? I'm going to have the same problem with GST accounts as well, I think.
Individul paycheques are correct but P{aystubs had amounts doubled and the Payroll tax report is out by 400.00
When I go into 'Expenses' it shows accurate information of what is owed to each Supplier. Why is it showing all of our expenses as outstanding when I go to Pay Bills?
Is there a way to classify items by type. ex. we export to USA and need a separate category for each item, so broker doesn't have to sort out lines and lines of our regular item descriptions! (Sometimes even in a different language! because we also sell German items!) We would like to classify or categorize our item list into yet another categories with simple Harmonized Trade Code descriptions without interfering with our usual item description. Example for all our Bibles NKV, KJV English, German, soft cover, etc, etc, would just be Religious Books, Bible's category. does anyone have suggestions?
how can i fix the historical balances entered for payroll after migration - the EI and CPP balances are backwards
I have an asset account that has subaccounts with $70K in assets and $70K in amortization, so the higher level account is $0. I want to hide this account on the balance sheet, but inactivating it doesn't work since the subaccounts have dollar values in them. I can just merge them into the higher-level account but I would like to know if that's the best way to do it from a management accounting best practice perspective. Thanks!
This started last week, the same day that QBO update their user interface. I do not know that the issue is connected to that update, but it might be.
I'm cleaning up some rather messy books with multiple gst/pst accounts and codes. In order to merge accounts, do I first need to direct the sales tax item to the primary account? Ie if there are 3 GST payable accounts and 3 GST paid accounts that I want to merge into a single GST payable account, do I need to first make sure that all GST tax codes point to a single account? Also, in the same scenario, do I need a single GST item for both sales and purchases, or do I need one for sales and a different one for purchases?
I accidentally sent an invoice to the wrong customer (whose family of the one I need to send it to) and I charge them different hourly rates, due to circumstances. The other person opened the invoice, when I update the customer I'm supposed to be sending it to, will the previous customer be able to go to their email and open the invoice and view the updated one? Is there anyway to stop that, if so? Or, when I update the customer, will the previous customer get an error when trying to open it? Thanks!
The bill was send with PST. I want to refund it through a negative invoice or credit not
Merci!
Hi everyone,I would like to connect my IC Savings bank account to my Quick Books Online but it's not included in the list banks. Is IC Savings listed under another name? How do I connect to it. Thank you.
Is anyone having trouble creating an ROE in QBO Payroll?
