And why does this happen? Thank you for your help!
Are Cleared transactions still accounted for in generated reports or do they have to be reconciled to be included?
To clarify, the extra line includes the total amount of taxes for all the items. But each item line doesn't include a "sales tax" amount and the "Amounts are" menu is defaulted to "Out of scope tax".
"Either the Payroll Liabilities account, or its parent account, is an inappropriate account type. Please check the account types in your company's Chart of Accounts"
I moved over to QB Payroll at the beginning of Oct. and the first two payrolls went through after running manually. I tried to run the third payroll manually, but there are a number of issues: The CPP number was way more than the previous pay. I double checked the YTD CPP amounts I entered when I configured QB Payroll and plugged the numbers into the CRA payroll tax calculator. The CRA calculator and the first to pay stubs matched to the penny. The income tax was less than the previous pay. It appears that QB Payroll is not deducting the extra amount the employee asked to be deducted from their pay cheque.I got the error below. I have not changed the Chart of Accounts or the Payroll Settings since I originally set it up. I googled the topic and found a number of similar issues on the QB Community forums from 2021. I tried changing the account types for both the child and parent, clearing my browser cache, clearing the Inuit cookies fro
I prepay for inventory coming from overseas. It usually arrives a month later and then I receive it in inventory. Somehow I have double entered transactions so that even though the goods were prepaid, they still show as owing in my accounts payable. The steps I have done are as follows; 1. issue purchase order. 2. enter proforma invoice. 3. pay proforma invoice. 4. receive items into inventory. Can anyone help me to see where I have gone wrong so that the proforma invoice is still shown as outstanding?
Whenever our accountant closes the books, I am unable to edit any estimates. Is there a setting to allow that? I need to edit estimates sometimes after the books are closed and our accountants do not give me the password.
On the invoice, it does not denote how the sales tax is created.
In QB Desktop Accountant version, I have an employee who was switched to salary but I failed to stop their vacation accrual at the time. How do I reverse the accrual that has been made to date? Payroll liability adjustments do not allow me to adjust vacation accrued and YTD adjustments do not allow me to make a negative adjustment to vacation accrual.
I am using 2021 Quickbook Desktop Premier version. When I prepare a customer statement, the description line includes the "memo" line of each invoice. Under "customer/create statement/Select additional options" I do not have any checkboxes turned on for any additional information. With memo line included, my statements are 10 pages long as we do include lots of details in the memo line. Is there any way to exclude memo line from the description? All I want is invoice #, and a due date. Thank you
Hi,A client is having a multi-year payroll audit. Some reports are from SAGE50, which was the software I converted them from. The auditor prefers the SAGE50 reports and is requesting different QBO reports. Since QBO doesn't allow for CPP & EI to be tracked to separate GL accounts, how can I customize a report that will isolate the CPP & EI expense and liability amounts by pay period and by employee? Every report I've tried doesn't seem to have the customization I need. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hello, I quoted a company a price to do a job which will also include VAT. They asked me to send a Proforma Invoice with a deposit price that they will pay to cover my costs to get the job started. Note this also includes deductions for VAT Reverse and CIS. After issuing the Proforma Invoice they sent me a purchase order with the total I quoted. When they make payment. Do I need to reissue a invoice for just the deposit payment they made or do I deduct that from the final invoice? Thanks in advance!
ERP System sends invoice to QBO over the API. I have Messages configured in Account and Settings -> Sales to send me a copy, and to BCC another email address in QBO. When the invoice is generated from my ERP system it is not without manually entering the address cc'ing me.
I'm attempting to add my company address but it is only allowing me to enter a US address. Is there a way to add a Canadian address?
