I believe that I should not enter balances directly to Debtors and Creditors but, rather, enter the individual balances for each customer and supplier separately. My question is should these balances include that VAT element or not?
I have already entered the O/Bs by Customer and Supplier so there are now balances on the debtor and Creditor accounts. Problem is that the rest of the journal now doesn't balance.
I have customised the reports and therefore I do not expect the format to change after a journal entry. Something right as it never use to happened having used the software since its inception in UK
HelloI work in the hospitality sector and am currently dealing with cancelled events. Although the event due date is for this month, the monies have already been paid, and included in previous VAT returns. However, my Profit and Loss for the month are not showing these events as cancelled, which my boss was expecting. Is anyone able to shed some light on this, and give me an explanation that I show my boss so that he understands?Thank you in advance!
I have already had a problem with a customer who had paid when Banking Feed did not tell me so.
I just want this software to actually act like the sensible grown-up package we used to have in desktop and stop trying to shoe-horn me into doing pointless stuff.
Hi, i am very new to this so sorry if it seems a bit dumb, i am entering my purchase receipts and then realised i actually pay some bills monthly when i get statements from the merchant, so pay my monthly credit bill in one, should i enter the individual receipts or just the monthly statement which will match with the bank? also i sometime purchase via paypal and then receive a separate receipt with vat from the supplier, i therefore end up with two lots of receipts?
The report is called "VAT Liability Report". The QBO help docs say that we should be able to see his Favorite Reports: "Other users with the permission to generate reports can also access your Favorite Reports." We have not amended the default Admin permissions, and we think that by default Admin users have the permission to generate reports? What our accountant sees at Reports > Favorites: What I see at Reports > Favorites:
