On a bank deposit, there is a "Received From" field. I would like to use that field in creating reports, but it doesn't seem to be in option on any of the form customisations, including the Deposit Detail report. Is there any way to use this field usefully?
Hello,I have a pretty unique situation - we are a small municipality who has to track receivables from 2 other municipalities who collect on our behalf and then pay it out to us.Each Levy year has to be separate - so each year has it's own sub-account under the main account. With QB desktop we would create a credit memo whenever there was an abatement. The desktop version had a spot to put the account NUMBER to apply it to and that would make the account balance correct.QB online when I try to apply the credit memo I can only do it to an invoice and then it does not apply to the line item I am trying to balance. Is shows in the A/R register but as a $0.00 payment and when I look at the invoice it shows the "credit" but only there - I need to see it in the A/RIs there another way to fix this? I cannot put screenshots in as it says I'm not signed in and gives me the runaround so I hope this makes sense.Any help is greatly appreciated!! Attached is the spot in QB Desktop where I coul
How do I record a check received from the insurance company for a claim on loss of inventory due to spoilage?
When the new invoice format came out in May, we immediately had performance issues in QBO. We can't delete invoices or sales receipts, or modify them, or just mark them "Send Later". Any change that requires a save creates a high probability that we won't be able to save.Over time, it has become clear that it is due to this: https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/article/Business-validation-error-while-syncing-transactions-with-inventory-items?elqTrackId=cd21b10e6f694b4f986523919cd6e85e&elq=05ee12cc40fa4d38ac5f55dec33c613f&elqaid=85&elqat=1&elqCampaignId=15I can't even run the "Inventory Valuation Detail" report mentioned in the work around because it says it is too large to run. We have trouble saving even small invoices or sales receipts, apparently because it is still working on inventory in the background. We are 2 months in with NO improvement from QBO. They have said they are working on it, but instead of rolling back to something that works we have been le
How can I report that compares the last 10 years of P&L for our company. There is a report that you can compare two years, but is there any way to customize to run for multiple?
I've recently switched over from Desktop to QB Online version and the reports are different - I used "Unbilled Costs by Job" in QB Desktop but now I can't find the information that I'm looking for in QBO - what is the equivalent report under in QBO?
The issue is when I paid that bill, there is no memo/description in general ledger on accounts payable but has a memo/description on bank accounts side. How can I fix this
Hello Community! I am in need of your knowledge please. I have a customer that has opted to pay my vendor's invoices direct instead of paying our invoice? How do I notate this in QB to reflect the vendor's invoices being paid direct from my customer? Or do I make some sort of general journal entry? I have no clue how to proceed. I have attached a copy of the email from my vendor showing where my customer paid the invoices direct via ACH. Thank you for your help!
Stripe will sometimes make a deposit that includes sales of very different types (e.g., event income and membership payments) made on the same day. How can I tag only the event income (but not the membership payment) to keep track of and report on that event's expenses and income?-- Bill
Hello,We are set up as average cost inventory. However, when we want to look at profitability of our jobs, we like to review the actual costs of inventory purchased for that particular job. Example: we may purchase item ABC for $200. When inputting the PO, we tie it to the Customer/Job. However, we might have bought that same item for $300 for another Customer/Job, so when I run a profitability report, it shows COGS of $250 on that item. Because we are linking the purchases to the job, I was hoping there was a way to run a report to show the actual cost of the inventory tied to the customer/job, and not the average inventory cost. My current thought is to export the Job Profitability report and merge it with the Purch by Item Detail report. I wanted to check to see if there was a report or add-on that would make this easier though.Thank you
Our church leaders have asked me to research online tithing/giving. I've looked at several options but wondered if anyone in the community would be willing to give a recommendation. Also, I'd love to know how you get the information from the online giving over to Quickbooks. Is it a manual process or is there an integration piece that automates the entries? Any information or suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi everyone,So I'm using QBO and I do the booking for non-profit organization, any donation come to the bank account I recorder it Received From the Donor "Customer" name. I manage to run a report called revenue by Donor summary showing the total amount the donors contributed during a specific period. What I'm trying to do is running a report showing the details, meaning each contribution received during the period from a donor. Whenever I try to run such a report it comes out empty. I looked into some discussions here for help, but I end up with same results.Any idea please? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance! Amjad
Is there any way to generate a report that shows a history of total sales per item INCLUDING the open orders that were pending at the time? The report that generates right now will only show the items that have already been invoiced, but we need to see a total number of all orders that have been placed...not just paid for.
I think the same entry for a particular may have been entered twice.
where did QB move email history for emailed invoices?
- I need to report on a monthly basis income, but separate out how paid (check, credit card, etc), can QuickBooks do this?
