how to set up overtime for California employees
Hello, I am using QBD Enhanced payroll. For my Quarter-1 2024 taxes I filed State taxes[UI/WH] and what the agency posted as taxes due does not match the liability amount on the QB tab. The amounts are more than what Quickbooks states and its not because of penalty/fees. Since I make the payment on the agency website how do I clear off of QB?In addition, I have filed and need to pay state taxes but the liability does not show at all on the tab. When those funds debit how will I tie that to QB?
I've been using QBO since April 2022. Every week I input timecards using the weekly timesheet. Terminated employees still show up in the drop down list in alphabetical order. Is there any button or option that I am missing so that only active employees show up in the timesheet dropdown selection?
I forgot to increase solo 401k contributions for 2024 in payroll. 2023 contributions were $865 each pay period. 2024 contributions were increased to $884.60, but is not reflected in payroll thus far this year. What is the best way to remedy this?
I did not use the payroll service last year. at this point i need to generate a w2 and would like to do that for the previous year (2023). can i go back and do that?
I need to properly record the employees and employers withholding and record payroll taxes/liabilities.
Quickbooks did not automatically file the state W2's as this service was not on last year for the state of Ohio.
I have 2 reports showing up for MA, but I have never paid a person there or paid payroll taxes there.
We have QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2019 for a PC. We only have a couple of employees and have manually generated paychecks for years. Today the "Pay Employees" option is not there. I did a search, details said, "This operation is not available because a QuickBooks feature, known to me as 'CDS_Payroll.MenuStateNone', is not available right now." How do I get it back?
When I go to setup Payments with credit cards it asks for my Company EIN number. I input it but it’s not accepting it. It keeps erasing what I put and says “This field required”
Thsi started in February 2024
every time I try to add my employees, I get an error message: "Something went wrong. Give us a few minutes and come back."

I know I have made (at this point) multiple discussions regarding Quickbooks' Online Payroll Support, but this has gotten out of hand. Not only have I consistently been lied to about that status of our ticket for the upwards of a little more than a month, but, now things that I was told were in rotation...are suddenly NOT viable. I was told last Wednesday (03.27.2024) that a supervisor would be in contact me within 24 - 48 hours. Absolutely no one called. I was told the week before that our case had been escalated and that we would be getting a message within 3 business days to let us know that our case (which we had to RESUBMIT and open another NEW CASE since the corrections department neglected to open the files we uploaded in time and thus lost the ability to view them...which we were NEVER told happened and for a month we were told it was being worked on, only to find out that it was never even started in the first place). Anyway, no messages from anyone in corrections department o
Our employees are paid bi-weekly salary, monthly insurance reimbursements on the 1st of the month, annual commissions and annual bonuses. I have pay schedules for salary, commission, and bonus, but I cannot figure out how to create one that is not taxible for their monthly insurance reimbursements. HELP Please!
