I need to set up terms that are due the 10th day of the following month, but only if the invoice date is before the 25th of the current month.Example:Invoice date: 03/20/2024 would be due on 04/10/2024Invoice date: 03/27/2024 would be due on 05/10/2024
Has everyone else lost the ability to enter QB payroll in the hours/minutes format? (I.e., 7:41 versus 7.68.) This auto-convert functionality seems to have been lost in the last "upgrade". This was a significant time-saver in my payroll processing time, and now needing to covert every employee timecard to a decimal hour is a hinderance. (And have heard same from a couple clients.) Why would said functionality be removed?
I and others have been asking about this for years, but ever since I and a couple other employees became QB admin, we no longer have access to Workforce. This means that we cannot access paystubs or W-2s, which we need to file our taxes. Every other employee has access to their paystubs and W-2s through Workforce. Why does QB prevent those with admin rights from having access? Yes, they are mailed out, but I don't think we've gotten them by the January 31 deadline either. Plus employees who want to check their paystubs should be able to access them. This is extremely detrimental for the employees and is a ridiculous rule that never should have been implemented and needs to be fixed.
I'd like to create a new custom role in the manage users section. It says online "Select the Roles tab, then "However, I don't have the option to "select Add role"
I entered a negative amount through "Record Tax payments" but instead of decreasing the current amount due, QBO increased it.
Hi Im an employee whose employer uses QuickBooks payroll.Up until recently I was able to sign in and view my payslip’s.Now when signing in all I get is a page saying my employer is not connected to quickbooks payroll. Contact your employer for access etc.Ive raised this issue with my employer and they sent a new invite to view my payroll.Upon clicking on the link in the invite it then told me it was time to update my password which I did.And then at sign in the exact same message appears of your employer is not connected etc.Can anyone help with a suggestion as to what myself or my employer should do to remedy this?
I'm using QB's Desktop Enterprise (Contractor 22.0). The issue I have is that the various payroll taxes for our direct employees are being charged to our G&A payroll expenses and not COGS. Is it possible to set-up separate Payroll Tax items within QBs so that these burden costs are going to the correct GL accounts and still use QBs' Payroll Forms for reporting to the various agencies? If so, what's the best way to set this up? Thanks,
Quickbooks has not asked for account numbers or IRA info. Is there a way to link that information so that the funds automatically go over?
Hi. Today, I signed up for the Payroll service in my QuickBooks online account where I completed the "Your Payroll History" section of Setup Tasks in the Overview page. I now want to print out the bi-weekly paystubs but I do not see past paystubs when I enter Paycheck List for the employee. How can I print out paystubs on the payouts that where manually entered before starting the Payroll service? Regards.
The answers I received bear no relationship in any way with the question I asked.
We just issued the first paychecks of the season. Several employees are unable to see their paystubs or any info from last year, emails are the same. I disabled Workforce for them and sent a new invite, still doesn't work. (They did get the money deposited.) Any suggestions? Thanks
On my QBO employees page, there has been a selection called WELCOME TO WORKFORCE that allowed me to see all employees and who had accepted and who hadn't accepted their invites. This was also where you could invite multiple employees at one time. The WELCOME TO WORKFORCE option is no longer showing at the top of the employee's page. Has it been taken away? Also, I'm seeing in blud Send invite at the tope of an employee's page but they are active in workforce which is indicated right below the blue Send invite as Pay and tax docs (Active)
We have one EIN number but we have a school and a church that need to be paid. We'd like to pay each of them and their taxes out of their corresponding accounts. Is there a way to do this?
I get this error message when I try to delete a GL Account - "You cannot delete an account that is associated with a Form 1099 box." Where do I find the GL accounting mapping for 1099's? Thanks!
We are a restaurant that has just started the tracking of cash tips. The employees tips are reported to us and we are including them in the cash tip box in the Other Types of Compensation for the pay period. Will QB withhold the applicable taxes on the reported cash tips?
After entering my employees addresses, quickbooks online fills in the earned income tax and local services tax rates. The rates are incorrect according to the Pennsylvania municipal statistics web page. I called quickbooks online support and they were unable to correct the rates.Has anyone else had this problem? Thank you.
An employee left the company before they were vested in the company 403b plan. We have now received a check from the financial institution for the Employer contributions. I'm tempted to deposit the check and apply it to the GL account where I recorded it as an expense, but this might leave a credit balance in that area on the P&L report because the amount covers a couple of years. Please give me step by step instructions on how to process this from the deposit to any Journal entries or payroll liabilities. Just to be sure no one misuderstands, the employee got to keep whatever funds they put in. The funds returned were only the employers match.
So I have been using quickbooks desktop since 2019. I had it set up as reported cash tips and then under other deductions the tips were removed. This is how it was set up by my account manager 5 years ago. I have recently switched to quickbooks payroll online and the new employees it is just giving me the option of cash tips not reported cash tips and then it does not have to deduct this amount under other deductions. So my issue is that every year it was not breaking the tips down on my W3 or 941s. It is all included in one lumped category. I do not know how this was missed by my accountant all these years because in our state we qualify for a tip credit. So my question is how I convert these categories to reissue w2s so we can get the tip credit we are supposed to get. Any why would tips paid to employee be a category in quickbooks that doesn't separate on reports or be on the tip section on the w2/w3. Alot has been missed due to this e
There is no way to check this transaction to be calculated for all four quarters for 2023. Why hasn't his been updated over the years?
