I was a long time QB Desktop (with Payroll) user and recently signed up for QB Online with Payroll.I exported my data from Desktop to Online...there was as a bit of manual editing required, but now all my account balances are correct. My problem is that I can't set up Payroll successfully:** my employees from Desktop have been imported, but their status is "not on payroll" / inactive.** when I try to set their status to active, I get the message "Object Not Found : Something you're trying to use has been made inactive"** if I try creating a new employee (a duplicate of an inactive employee) I get the "That doesn't look like the right Social Security number" error, presumably because the SSN is the same as that of the inactive employee. How do I proceed?
I say for the first quarter I paid "$2.47" for my State Income tax and "$2.53" for the second quarter. The YTD calculation says "$5.00", but the system says my amounts don't add up to the YTD calculation. The same thing happens for my transit tax. The last I checked, $2.47 + $2.53 does indeed equal $5.00. Am I using the wrong math or what?
The previous bookkeeper waited until she confirmed the Payroll processor's draft of bank account then she would write a check in QB Desktop. She added gross wage expenses to the check details then negative liabilities for payroll taxes and deductions. How do I clear these entries?
I'm setting up a very small business; we expect ultimately to have about 4 employees apart from myself and my partner. It's straight salary, no OT and so forth. Do I really need Payroll Core? Seems like surely I could just do it with QB Simple. Are there things about my payroll or conditions that might make the add-on worthwhile? Thanks.
I am a small business with one employee, myself. I use Quickbooks Online and track my time to bill customers. When I enter my time, and save, the time sheet saves the time in the order of length of time posted. So, if I spend 6 minutes here, 20 minutes there, 3 minutes on this issue, and 40 minutes on another project, when I look at the time sheet, it will sort the time as 3,6, 20 and 40 minutes. When I had the desktop program, it kept the time in the order I input it. Therefore, I could tell my day started with this project, ended with that project, and had these other items in the middle. At a quick glance, I can review my day and following the order on my timesheet, know how my day went. Do I have some setting wrong in the system?
When I call the 1-800 number it redirects me to the Canadian Quickbooks support team. When I speak with an agent they give me a different 1-800 number. When I call that number tells me to contact support through their chat feature. When I use the chat feature (either chatbot are being used or they have no ability to go off script) they say they can't help and to call the 1-800 number. No matter how many times I explain this to either the live agent in Canada or the chat I'm told the same things. Try to set up a callback and never receive said call back put in five different requests throughout the day. I'm in a never-ending loop due to this company's need to save money and strip all customer service features. I've already canceled my one company's subscription and I'll be doing the same for my other companies. Let this be a warning to anyone thinking about getting Quickbooks. The program works fine but there is zero customer support. I already know that one of your experts will tell me
It is stuck on "Finish Adding To Your Team".. I'm finished..
I know that I am driving significantly farther than the app is saying I do.
When I try to set up direct deposit in my Quick Books Desk top, it will not let me enter a PIN. It blinks but won't let me type.
Greetings, I have always considered QB payroll service to be the best way to go with QB users. However, 2023 has proven that QB payroll service is subpar and I will not recommend them to anyone going forward. My client moved from QBDT to QBO in June. Paid for the most expensive QBO PR service to handle the migration. System said everything was all set. We cancelled the QBDT subscription which meant we could not longer login to QBDT. On August 1 2023, received an email saying our SUI and 941 returns were rejected. It turns out, QB Assisted Payroll filed both of those returns with partial data. As a result, QBO was not able to file and pay the proper complete returns. Here is the problem. QBO refuses to file amended returns and said the burden is on the taxpayer. Not only is my client the taxpayer, he also paid QBO to file the returns and they have said for 3 straight days, they will not assist in the amendment of the returns. How is this fair? What
I have a worker comp case and need employee weekly payroll from 7-28-2022 to 7-28-2023. I went to help through quickbooks and was told I have to print 52 weeks to get weekly
Is anyone aware of a way to flag employees as part-time status in their profile?
I have to file for Unemployment Taxes - and send a check to State of Miss. We have less than 100 employees. So we can file a paper copy of a Employee Wage Report - quarterly. Where do I find this report. The amount to pay is shown on screen on the Employee Center under pay liabilities.
I’m new accountant for 1 client. Last person processed the payroll. But employee hasn’t been paid. He is saying the PIN is invalid & client needs to get new etc. how do I verify what the issue is & resolution
We were notified that ACH Debit payments will no long be accepted by the State of Coloardo Department of Revenue. We have several clients that use quickbooks desktop and the tax payments are set up for ACH Debit. It looks like our only option is to have our clients sign up for an account through the department of revenue and give us access to their accounts so we can make the payment that way. Does anyone know a work around on this
