I have a landscaping business. say I stop mowing a client, how do I take them off business purposes* to free up the clutter from non-clients anymore
I currently run QuickBooks online for payroll. But I just received another grant that will be funded through a different bank account. It is also connected to my QB account. My question is, in order to run payroll, will I need an additional QuickBooks account or is there a way to choose which account I want to issue that employee direct deposit from? I don't see under the payroll setting a place to do this.

Hello all,For some reason, we withheld Ohio school district tax for a new employee (the box was came up when setting up local tax and I must have checked wrong box). This was discovered after four pay periods. It totals $109.50. How do I correct this and refund the employee?. Unfortunately, since we are a construction company and have slowed down, this employee is no longer here.
I just started using QB for payroll. I noticed that it "pulls" money aside for payroll taxes, but it doesn't appear to pull the funds from the bank. I need to pay the payroll taxes and I'm not sure if the money is set aside in QB, or if I have to pull money from the bank account. Please help, I'm brand new at this!
It's been more than 2 business days and still nothing.
Hello. I am trying to separate my salaried employee wages and my hourly employee wages in my profit and loss. How do I make them separate expense accounts
It does say "upload documents and get help resolving your notice." I'm new to QB online after being a decade + user of desktop and payroll
Using QB Online--How can I handle cash tips for employees who leave and no longer work for us but I haven't been able or had enough time to enter cash tips in a payroll check for them and haven't been able to tax those tips either?
Hi, Our 8/1/22 payroll ran with one employee's payment method listed as check, however, their payment method setting is direct deposit. How does this happen?
On my P&L report I have the entry for the wages along with the entry from the bank for the ACH. That is overstating my wage expense. It is labeled as an expense in the P&L for Payroll wages. How to do keep the transaction from the bank so my balance is correct while making sure the Payroll wages account is accurate?
In Florida, its tough to get the Employer address changed so hoping QBO Payroll does it
I have been paying for full service payroll for over 3 years, and Quickbooks will not allow me to automate tax payments. This has cost me several penalties with the IRS as well as the monthly QB Payroll fees. I have contacted customer service 7 times, spent hours on the phone re-explaining issue. All agents promise it will be fixed in 7-10 days and it has never been fixed. QBO only accepts a 7 digit unemployment number. My number is 6 digits, and QBO will not accept it and that triggers an error that will not allow full service payroll deposits. We have verified the number with QBO and the SC Unemployment office. We have also tried putting a 0 in front of the number. I have been absolutely blown away at the lack of customer support. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue?
I need to undo the archive of the 2022 W-2 as I have future payrolls to add before the end of this year. How can I undo the archived forms? The W-2's for this year were not E-filed yet.
Hello, I am one of my company's finance coordinators (aka Quickbooks users) and I am non-binary. I use a different name that has not been legally changed yet. The process to change my name is a long and expensive one so until I can get that done, my legal name is on my paychecks and pay stubs and most frustratingly for me, in Quickbooks. I don't have access to payroll and employee data in QB but I do still see my legal name (deadname) while working in Quickbooks (searching, pulling reports, etc) on a regular basis. I know that there is a way to change the name that prints on the check so I've thought of asking if we can change my name in Quickbooks to my chosen (but not yet legal) name and just have my legal name (deadname) print on the checks. But I'm not totally sure if that would change it everywhere in Quickbooks and if it would even be worth it. I have searched the internet high and low for any examples of this in the past as relates to Quickbooks and trans employees, b

Where do I find the Quarterly Federal tax forms?
Went to upload payroll, told there is an error. Dig down and told there is a duplicate payroll item. Find that it is Advance Earned Income Credit, a system generated payroll item that can't be deleted. It is not used by any of our active or inactve employees.
I am using Quickbooks Online and Quickbooks Time. Overtime shown in Time does not transfer to QBKS Payroll Overtime, adds it into regular pay. For example, if Time show 80.00 regular pay and 1 hour overtime, when I export to Quickbooks payroll, it shows up as 81.00 hours Regular pay and nothing in overtime. And, yes, I have the employees receiving overtime sept up in Quickbooks payroll.
I want to change pay day
We are a small non-profit organization. We use a 3rd party payroll, but bi-weekly they only pull from our checking the net pay and the direct deposit fees (NOT our employer contribution taxes). So I am manually entering a journal entry to:debit the gross pay amount from payroll expenses:wagescredit the employee withheld deductions to the correct individual liability accountsdebit my employer contribution taxes from payroll expenses:taxescredit employer contribution individual liability accounts. This puts a positive balance in my liability accounts earmarking the funds for my quarterly IRS tax payment (assuming I'm doing this all correctly). My question is this: In QBO, how do I then make a payment using the funds in the liability accounts? I've read some about creating a bill or a vendor credit and then paying the bill, but I'm not following exactly how to do that. If someone is willing to talk me through how to pay the tax bill from my checking account but using the earmark
