What was wrong with the old software? The only feature better is paying taxes automatically on time, would you agree?
I did not change email account
As recently we started doing the payroll ourselves using QB Desktop Payroll 2021. The accountant takes care of taxes and everything else.(We are asking QB community, because we might need to help our accountant understand how to perform certain tasks, as they are not computer savvy.). Those are our options:Create and share QB reports: which reports should we generate and email to the accountant? Please help us listing all the needed reports. Please, could you list all the needed reports? Share the company file: (they are not familiar with this, we'll have to guide them, if possible)Can the payroll information be shared using the Send Company File > Accountant's Copy feature? Our accountant is using QB Enterprise, they workers often need guidance, that's why we want to ask QB experts before contacting the accountant. We appreciate your help
How to process payroll for a contractor?
Employee started In May 2021 not 10/01/2019
I am getting a system error when I enter the employee account number and UC tax rate. Nobody could help me :(
In Quickbooks Online, I created my contractors as employees by mistake. They have already been entering their time in the system for several weeks now. I am now trying to convert those employees to contractor status in the system but am not able to.I tried the steps here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/set-up-contractors/change-employee-to-contractor-or-contractor-to-employee/00/370705 but that doesn't work because when I try to make an employee inactive I get the following error message:
New payroll company pulled all wages and included in their W2s- need yours zeroed out
Hi. Anyone having issue trying to change the direct deposit bank account for the business. I am having an error and it has been weeks trying to figure it out with QuickBooks. You’ll need to update QuickBooks to edit direct deposit bank information. To update QuickBooks, go to Help > Update QuickBooks Desktop.
I am having issues balancing my liabilities with what I actually pay. Is there a way to make my Payroll items not affect liability accounts at all? I would just make the payment directly.
My accountant was supposed to be looking into this for me for about 6 months now but has been "swamped" and still hasn't even completed my 2020 taxes but rather filed for an extension to buy more time. He finally just told me the other day that the ERC stuff isn't something he'd be able to do for me as he likes to avoid anything payroll related (I'll be getting a new accountant next year). While I was waiting so long for his help, it looks like I missed the deadlines for Q3 and Q4 of 2020? From what I've read online I should qualify for it, do I still have any options? One possibility I saw was maybe I can have QuickBooks file a 941X for me? I did see the QB instructions for how to set up the ERC for 2021 so I'm all set on that, specifically looking for assistance on 2020.
I have just taken over a new position and I'm not exactly sure how to account for the payroll liabilities for things like medical/dental etc.ONLY because the actual bill/premium is paid BEFORE the deduction is actually taken from the employees check?? I understand that part is expensed to the company and part to the payroll liability for the deducted employee portion, however I'm not sure exactly how to do this since the liability amount hasn't been deducted yet?? HELP
QB quit deducting federal taxes from an employee, how do I fix this?
Our timesheet is getting moved to next week
