Hello,I am not an accountant and I need help with this issue.I got a second mortgage on my home in order to support my small business.I pay as interest-only about $2,000/ month.the loan is about 250 k. 100 are related to the business and 150k are related to my personal need.so, b percentage is for business and p percentage is for personal needs. this applies for both the 250k and the 2k/month.At the beginning of every month, I record a direct deposit from my business account to the loaner.what do I need to do in order to make the records on my QuickBooks reflect only the business loan and not the personal loan?Many thanks, Ali

This question is for the Corporate Tax Specialists. I understand how to report Capital assets on a balance sheet and how to report the CCA on a T2 return. However, my question is, when depreciating the asset on the balance sheet, and posting it against the income statement.... am I claiming the depreciation as a business expense on the corporate return and also claiming the CCA on the return?
Accounts payable show a zero balance, but under vendors, new transactions, pay bills, vendor shows a a bill to be paid (this bill has been paid), how do you zero this?
Ever since we updated our Quickbooks Enterprise 2020 to R8, we have been having problems with the cursor being 'stuck' when pressing Enter, or trying to use the Down/Up Arrow. For example, when entering prices on a Bill Entry, I use the down arrow to get to the line underneath to change the price, or change quantity, or add G for GST, and when I make the change, I press the down arrow, or enter, and instead of immediately going to the next cell or down, it remains in the cell I just changed. Similarly, when entering an invoice, when a line is completed, pressing enter through the line does not take me to the next blank line, but stays in the line I just put in, but at the beginning of that line. It appear that this only happens with Inventory items (not Non-Inventory items). Please Help. This is very annoying.
Where do I enter a project name for estimates? Under additional customization headers, I can select the project to be printed, but unable to select screen. Not sure where to go to input the information so it can print. Thank you for your help. Enjoy your day.
When I use QBO in the office I usually have a second monitor for a multitude of other software we use. I closed it out Friday when I left, unplugged the monitor and left it behind, where it belongs. I see QBO does not appear to work in multi monitor and this to me is another problem. Now at home I open QBO and it is opening on the monitor that is not connected. Great....... Any help appreciated.
I have a customer that when performing work for them if we use their parts we do not receive financial reimbursement for it. Instead they pay the invoice that we purchased parts on directly through our supplier, and our supplier issues a credit to the account to clear out the invoice. What I am wondering. I know I need to report this as income and expenses and it gets reversed by the credit. I am wondering though is there a way to record this so that when I view my A/R I am viewing only actual cashflow amounts exclusive of those dollar amounts that are to be credited on our supplier account
I built 18 months of my books using the QB app on my Mac with Catalina. I then found out that the app is not compatible with Catalina. I have uninstalled the app and will use QB through my browser from now on, but will there be any issues with my books because of this? I did experience certain errors and other issues while using it such as crashing, and not being able to open more than one window (tab) in the app sometimes.
I am trying to find a newly created account that was set up in the last 3 months. The name on the account was not set up properly so I cannot locate it by name. So I am wondering if there is a way in QB Desktop v2013, to see customer accounts that were created recently, either via a sort function or a report.
I'm trying to customize a report, I have a few Trust accounts and I need to see their balances by customer. I'm doing this using the Transaction detail by accounts report - filtering by distribution account (4 accounts) and grouping by customer. My issue is I want to see the customers with nonzero balances - is there a way I can filter this or is there another report to use. Thanks.
My mileage is showing as zero for this year, and 1000 odd for 2019/20 when I drive 200 miles a week. How do I rectify this? As far as I was aware the mileage tracker was on but when I relaunched the app (because it was repeatedly showing banking error messages despite me reconnecting with my bank) apparently it has all disappeared . I have spent so many hours trying to work it out on both laptop and iPhone but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me please? :)
How do I process an account balance rebate in the review tab of the chequing account downloads? This rebate occurs when a specific balance remains in the account over the month.
For the purpose of importing data from Sage 50
I created a customer Estimate template and marked it as my "Default". But, when I click "+New" and select Estimate, it defaults to the standard Quickbooks template. If I choose "Customize" on the bottom and select my template, it does not change. I've tried refreshing, logging out and back in again, etc. Nothing.
