Quickbook has increased price for quickbook desktop and made into subscription. We have less than 4 employees and quickbook desktop prices is outrageously expensive for us. Our accountant/CPA insist on using desktop version. If we were to switch to quickbook online, can I still create quickbook desktop copy version to give it to my account on USB? This might be less headache than switching our accountant. Thank you.
I started having issues with invoices not going out automatically via email in November 2023. The delivery issue in QB is: "An error occurred related to the email’s subject." but there have been no changes to the subject line as far as I can tell. I have tried troubleshooting using both Chrome and Safari. Any idea how to correct this so I can stop manually sending invoices via email?

The 2022 1099-NEC standard form has changed the date format. The blank form has the first 2 digits of the year pre-printed: 20__. Quickbooks should now only print out the last two digits of the year: or "22". Unfortunately, Quickbooks is printing "2022" instead of "22". It is overwriting the preprinted date on the 1099-NEC. Any idea when this will be corrected?
I'm a 1 man show but recently bought a stake in another company that I help run. The investment came out of my company profits and they will issue common shares in my company name. How would I categorize that in my books? Thanks in advance.

I have been using QB Desktop for many years. I am a one user person and have no employees. My files are for rental properties, very simple system. I always bought the Desktop disk and installed software on my computer. In 2023 they no longer sold disks and I had to have the 2023 version installed on my computer. A QB technician installed version 2023 on my computer. Everything worked as normal until recently. In Oct ot Nov I got an email from QB telling me to install version 2024 on my computer. I no longer have this email but I installed the new system, I had to convert my two company files from the 2023 version to the 2024 version. This worked until 12-29-23 when I could not open my current company files and the message said that I had 2024 files but the system on my computer was now the 2023 version. I do not know how my 2024 software disappeared and the 2023 version magically appeared. I'm sure QB had something to do with it as I certainly didn't
When I create an invoice and attach a separate PDF or word, or Excel file to it and hit email later. Then when I go to send forms, only the original invoice is in the email not any additional attachments they’re all gone and I have to reattach them one by one from there that does not seem right. 2024, QuickBooks desktop pro. I am copying over a company to a new company. However, all the "projects" that I had meticulously set up in the original company get copied over as "Donors" in the new company, which is not the same, and have lost all of the project tracking. Is there any way to fix this?How hard can this be Quickbooks?

Hi everyone, I am using QB Desktop for Mac. I have downloaded transactions successfully but when I start to type a Payee the Autofill is not working properly For example, If the Vendor is "Arco" and I type "A" it autofills with accumulated Depreciation and the ONLY way I can fix the payee is if I backspace to "c" in accumulated and then continue to type. Or - I have to copy and paste the payee. It is driving me C R A Z Y Any help ?
I have been experiencing this problem of the Mac Server crashing when closing the application with QB 2022 in MacOs Monterrey. It was happening so now and then, thus not every time. Yesterday I upgraded to QB 2024 (ver. 23.0.2.524 R3.1) and to MacOs Sonoma 14.2.1. Now it is happening every single time when closing the server. This with 3 files loaded on the server. The MacOs shoots an error report. From Quickbooks itself all is working fine. Hope a solution can be found soon.

When 2024 comes around I'd like to save my company data so I can reference it in the future, but completely start fresh for the new year. A lot of my accounts don't reconcile properly and other items I just don't like and now have learned to do better over the course of my first two years in business. I know my overall profit and loss is right, but like I said a lot of the numbers for accounts reconcile are off and I don't know how to get them fixed.
