QuickBooks Q&A

Customer/Client paid $3,475 on Jul 2, 2024. Was going through the bank transactions this morning and noticed a "deposit" from QuickBooks that was negative for $3,475 on Dec 11, 2024. Client is a friend and I called him and he had no clue but said the money is back in his account and will get it back to me. He got his wife on phone and there was no chargeback or refund request or anything like that. It was very random. What could have caused this?
I work for a home builder. We enter vendor bills and assign a category and a customer. I need a report to show if bills were accidentally not charged to a customer and the charges are just hanging out in the “black hole”. Me had QB desktop Contractor edition and we were able to run a report. Now after upgrading to Online Advanced we can not figure out how to run a report.
After logging in, it says my bank needs something. After I complete come back to the linking page and continue. It says click here. It takes me to my bank and I log in. I go back to linking page hit continue and it says my bank need something. It is a vicious loop.

I’m been paying a monthly fee for Quickbooks since April of 2023 but never filed taxes for 2023. How do I go about filing my taxes for 2023 now?
Went into my bank feed today and found that my VA Dept of Taxation payment had two matches. When I went into the bank register I found two auto generated QuickBooks transactions with different descriptions for the same tax payment. I checked my bank account and only one transaction exists. Tax Payment 10/30/2024 Description is "QuickBooks Payroll" Tax Payment 10/30/2024 Description is "VA Department of Taxation" Why did QuickBooks automatically generate "QuickBooks Payroll" description when it is the VA Department of Taxation Payment??? QB knows we cannot delete tax payments, issue is on their end, I have made no changes to payroll. I am positive that there are not two payroll taxes with the same amount on the same day, I have checked my Payroll tax tab and previous payments, they are all accounted for. Anyone else having this issue??? Really annoying because now I have to do a journal entry so that m
I am currently using QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020. My accountant sent her accountant changes file via a secure link as a QBJ file. I saved locally to my computer and tried to import. Once in QB and trying to import, the saved QBJ file is not visible (although, it is visible if looking from File Explorer). Furthermore, once I get the accountant's general journal entries pulled up in QB and select "add GEJs", I get a Warning message that reads: Warning Import Failed: Please try again later. Any suggestions? I have never ran into this issue before. Thanks
I am trying to find out why my funds say deposited but have not posted in my account yet? I need a human to look into it but there are no options I can find to contact one. Anyone else delt with this?
I am a talent agent and a beginner to Quickbooks (have been using QB for a number of years but know enough to get by). We work similarly to realtors and lawyers having an escrow account where all funds flow in and out. Our agency commission then gets transferred to our operations checking account where we pay out all our bills (rent, salaries, etc.) Recently, our non-union commercial customers are paying the talent's work day (called session fee) through payroll so they are covered under insurance, paying the actor directly and then we invoice the customer for the usage. We create a bill for the actor and a bill for our agency. We will receive the usage payment for the invoice by the customer, deposit into escrow, pay the bills from escrow, and transfer our commission to the operations checking account. The actor owes us commission on their session fee and I'm not sure how the best way track this in Quickbooks. They are listed as a vendor. I have added them as a custome

I've gone to my team, both in the online and original versions of time and I don't see any option to archive or delete these duplicates.
Transactions from all prior months and months since are showing up - just June and July are missing. I have several accounts set up to auto transfer and those two months - nothing from any of them. This tells me it was a QB issue? But I need to fix it. Please help! TY.
How do I get my joist account synced with QuickBooks
If I do not know when customers will pay by check or credit card I cannot add the fee to my invoice.
There is no option to ignore this popup in the future, the only way it works is to close the popup (X), and (X) out of the inventory adjustment page. This seems to be a bug - QB Support did not have an answer for this.
We upgraded to Desktop Enterprise a little over a month ago and were told that Enhanced Payroll was included in the overall price with NO ADDITIONAL per employee or per direct deposit fees. We have two companies using the program and one is being charge the per employee fees and the other is charge the per direct deposit fees still. I have tried to call and get this sorted out, but am just being transferred around with no solution. Then we received an email a few days ago saying they will charge per company and per employee and/or direct deposit (screen shot attached). Is this a Scam?
How do you make sure the discount is attributed to marketing/promotions and not lumped in with customer loyalty discounts, etc.?
