I don't have Quickbooks, but my client does. She input a payment for me and the transaction says null. When she clicks on it she gets a blank page. I received a payment in my account today that was sent last week. This one didn't say null, but she did get a blank page when she clicked on it. Help??
I already have financing. How do I add my own financing in QB as a term loan?
We are a construction business. We hired a subcontractor to frame a house for us. He purchased $200 of job material at one of our vendors under our account. We paid our vendor for those job materials by their due date. Later our subcontractor paid us back the money. How do I correctly enter his repayment in QBO? Thank you.

Hi all, QB Desktop 2019 Pro 2019. At the names limit of 14,500 entries. Trying to delete old jobs via a right-click -> Delete Customer:Job and getting "although this list name is inactive quickbooks cannot delete it because it is used in at least one transaction". Last week, we were able to click "Edit" on items in the Products & Services list and select whether they were taxable/untaxable, as well as their category (For example, SAAS). Here is a screenshot, the empty space used to contain a "Sales Tax" box. Below it, is a screenshot of that box that I took last week. How can we set the sales tax for products and services?

I was a QB user MANY years ago when ONE disk covered everything. I know, I'm showing my age - LOLI'm trying to help a friend that has a bookkeeper that it looks like is taking advantage. Want to start with doing his payroll for 6 employees initially & if it appears this is what is happening, I will get full version to cover all bookkeeping for company and take over. Is there software I can purchase that is stand alone for payroll so initially we don't have to pay subscription costs?
QBdesktop: I received a "Customer Payment" on the Home page. Then I went to "Record Deposits" to print out a deposit slip for that single payment, but nothing was there! When I attempted to fill out the form to force a deposit, It wouldn't accept anything in the "From Account" column that I entered, thus it would not print. I got a must assignt an account for this transaction. The payment shows on the Customer "Job Information form".How do I get a printed deposit form and why isn't the deposit information going to the "Record Deposits" on the Home Page?
I have confirmed that neither tags or attachments propagate. Demonstrated this to QBO. They concurred. Then asked me to help troubleshoot it by using another browser. The problem is in Safari and it is irrelevant if it works in another browser. QBO then said if I wouldn't troubleshoot it for them then it wasn't a reputable problem..
Normally when I purchase a product for resale, my vendors do not add tax. I then add my markup and applicable taxes for the resold amount before invoicing the client. I recently purchased a product that I intend to resell but my supplier withheld taxes on the COGS amount. Once I add my markup and figure the taxes on the full sale amount, I need to decrement the taxes due by the amount that I paid my vendor. The only way I can figure to do that is to have two line items on the invoice. The first is the COGS amount with no taxes applied and the second is my markup with tax applied. But then I give my client visibility into my margins. Is there another way to do this without giving the client that visibility?
I am suddenly unable to add new inventory. Also on the Add Products and Services page the Tax editing option has disappeared.
Hey there,I have an expense for some items I bought for my business. I paid for the items and want to reimburse myself eventually. So, I scanned in my receipt. The receipt was read properly. I then went to review the receipt. I split the transaction across the relevant categories. Then I chose my owner's investments equity account for the payment account. Now I cannot save and close the receipt.I have found a workaround that annoys me to no end. I have changed the Payment Account to my bank account and added a split for a negative line item to the equity. Now, I have a $0.00 transaction in my bank account journal. Even more annoyingly, I have to deal these zero'd out transactions at reconcile time. This seems like a very bad UI. Is there a better way to setup my owner's investment account so that I can directly post payments to that account? I would still like to take advantage of scanning in my receipts and having the transactions created from the information on the receipt. Or m
We use Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions: Manufacturing & Wholesale We noticed that a few of our Purchase Orders reflect inaccurate information. For example, we received 45,000 units of an item but the Purchase Order shows 90,000 units were received. We should show a backorder quantity of 78,000 units but the Purchase Order reflects only 33,000 units. The Inventory Item Quick Report sorted by Transaction Type "Item Receipt" reflects the correct receiving information. Please see the attached example. We need to understand what is causing this to happen and how to fix it. Fyi, we seem to have issues because our purchase orders are blanket and we can be receiving goods 1 or more years later after creating the purchase order. There is some kind of database thing happening here.
Our Chase bank account has been compromised and Chase has deactivated those accounts. Need to get set back up so we can send invoices and accept deposits
Is there a way to generate a report to show all invoices for all customers that have a partial payment on them, with the original amount and the amount paid on that report? Thank you
