Need to create 3 invoice templates that will be under 3 different company names in one QBO File. Company does DBA's inside one QBO File. Can you create 3 templates with different names if so can it be done in essentials or do you have to upgrade?
My QBs account is connected to Clover, my POS system. Clover automatically downloads the daily sales information. Part of this entry is putting the amount sold into 'Sales'. QB is also connected to my bank. When the monies are deposited, whether from the CC processor or a physical deposit to the bank, it's coding it to 'Sales'. This is causing my sales to appear duplicate. Where should those deposits from the bank be coded to? I don't see anything coding to A/R.
Release R10_19 worked fine. Like a fool, I "updated" one machine to November 24 version (F4 Not working in this release) and I can no longer generate invoices from my 3rd party app. Also, there is a long LAG when trying to do anything, especially access the FILE menu just to sign out or close company. Should have known better. It is still working fine on the older version. Tried to run repair from control panel add/remove. It completed successfully after 30 MINUTES, but still, the merge from 3rd party app does not work. RESET UPDATE FAILS. How can I revert, it is the end of month and need to get the invoices out! System Restore? We'll see....
I have a $2000 transfer or move of money from a QB Online managed checking accounts to savings account. However, I also want to show in the checking account what expense account (i.e. designated giving for mission project abc) this money came out of and I also want to show in the savings account what income account I want the transfer to show against. Can anyone help with this? I cannot select those accounts on the transfer entry. It only allows to me to select the bank account (checking or savings).
This happens when I try to process a customer's card. I have tried multiple times.
I had a few thousand dollars in a quickbooks account, and they gave it to the state without me knowing. How do I get it back?
How does my client on QB Desktop for PC create a portable file to me on QB Desktop for Mac? I am a CPA that uses a Mac. I need to purchase the right Mac Product to review
How can I change the address to.my business that shows on the invoice? Do I need to.amend address with my states dept of state and records or can I just change the address that shows on the invoice without logging and linking the new address to the company through my states business logs and records ?
Similar to QB Desktop, I want to add a "Markup" column to my estimate template in QBO. I want the ability to manipulate markup on each item from the estimate page. Can that be done?
Good day, I was hoping to run a report that would display what credits are open for Vendors and or Customers. I found an article on QB in the link below. However, this appears to be how much was paid, not what is available. We are running Enterprise 2019 Manufacturing and Wholesale. Any assistance is appreciated. Perhaps I am over thinking this but I am not seeing anything in the stock reports. https://community.intuit.com/questions/1198961-a-report-of-open-credits-for-customers-and-vendors-with-a-total-2014-and-older-versions
A couple weeks ago we moved our books from a server QBD host platform to QBO. There are quite a few mystery vendor credits that keep auto-populating my vendor payment credit fields when I'm paying bills, and I can't find where they're from (I inherited the books from a non-bookkeeper). How do I find a vendor credit in QBO that wasn't entered as a credit? I'm assuming it was an overpayment or a payment made outside of bill-pay, but this particular vendor has hundreds of bills entered over the last 13 years and I'm not sure how to comb through and find the discrepancy.
1) I had the details of the invoice appear in the body of the email. Now it's gone and I can't get it back. 2) I was trying to get the sub customer name to display on the email page. Still can't get this because I screwed up in #1 above.
Importing vendor data from a QB-exported spreadsheet from years ago...but it all matches up after some massaging of column names, etc. but will not import. I've reduced the number to 10 lines and still the same.
I was going to use the money that they paid for the work that was done and pay the subscription fee but I don't know if they have a way to pay it now with the account being inactive or what I need to do to get my money from them so I can pay the subscription fee

Has anyone had issue with receipt match giving error message "Something's not quite right" "An error occurred while processing your request. Please try again later. If you repeatedly see this error, then please try creating the expense/bill from Expenses page.
I rebuild the file, ran the tool repairs. What else can I do to fix this? Happens on 2 completely different company files. Thank you!
I have a couple of suggestions I would like to submit as feature requests, but I don't know where the best place would be to submit them.
Hello, in need of some help. I work with a countertop fabrication shop, and when running a P & L report my COGS is currently negative. The main issue I believe is my bills, like mentioned we work with countertops, so we consistently purchase full size slabs of Quartz, Granite etc. and use it for jobs. We don't necessarily use the whole slab for every job therefore I can't put the actual product (i.e. slab) on the customers invoice because it will count for the whole slab and that is not the case for most jobs. I currently categorize vendors bills for slabs under COGS-Supplies and Materials. I also make each new slab/color/material into an inventory item which I believe is where I'm making a mistake. I just need to know how I should be categorizing the slabs, should I be doing 'Material" instead of COGS? Can anyone please give some insight? I know I'm all over the place so please let me know if you need further information.
Currently, we use the US version of QB online which shows how we write date in the US (Month/Date/Year). It is possible to change the dates to show either DD/MM/YYYY or just spelled out like November 25, 2020 or 25 November, 2020? We have operations in parts of Asia and this gets very confusing.
I would like to sort my unbilled time by customer type. I use Desktop Enterprise 2024.
How do I apply a credit memo to an invoice? When I go to Receive payments I get a list of invoices, but just indicating that a credit is to be applied to one of them seems impossible. Do I put the amount in the "Amount" field at the top? Or just next to the invoice? When I check "Apply existing credits" it seems to want to apply all the credits, which I don't want. Why is this so hard? Why can't I just click on the credit and tell QB to apply it to a specific invoice? Please note: I am using the Mac Desktop version.
I am the office manager (main AP/AR contact) and the primary admin on my company's account. We have an outside accountant with QBO accountant access. At some point, I added myself to the list of accountants but later removed myself because I didn't need any of the accountant tools. However, now every time I open up QBO Desktop I am automatically directed to the accountant version of QBO (with the white sidebar instead of the black sidebar) where there are zero clients. I'm tired of selecting "switch account" every day to get back to the normal view. Can someone help me deactivate this part of my account?
Hello, when creating an invoice (receivable) in QBO, am I able to change the receivable account that the invoice goes in? At the moment it seems to automatically go into our main/first AR account, but we have multiple AR accounts to track earned receivables vs contributions and would prefer to choose which one the invoices go into.
We purchased recording equipment in 2017 and sold it in 2020.Purchased for $5500 and sold it for $4700 minus shipping expenses.I have the recording equipment as a fixed asset, and I have created a depreciation account but never depreciated it. I do not know how to record the sale and the depreciation.
