Hi, Our company is spinning off half of our operations into a separate entity with approx half of our current employees. I would like to export selected employees personal data, pay rate and tax withholding information from one company file and import it into the second company file. I am trying to automate it so that I dont have to type manually (prone to human error). I have tried the SaasAnt transaction application and it was helpful in moving the employee's personal data but I havent figured out how to transfer their pay rate and withholding/tax settings. Anyone have a suggestion on how to export/import payrate, payroll withholdings/tax settings at same time as the personal data?
Hello, I run a company and have just purchased another small business. I am wondering if there is a way for me to have two invoice templates, that have different company names and logos on them. Every time I seem to change the company info in the invoice template, it changes it on my account and on my other invoice templates. Here in TN we are allowed to have multiple DBA names and that is what my company has. And I want to keep the company name for the business I bought so that the customers he has recognize where the invoice is coming from. Is there any way to do this because I have been reading and trying to figure it out but with no luck. Is there anyway to make invoice templates based on Class? Thanks,Caleb
There is a transfer to Venmo in the transaction history in my checking account online - 250.00. I have tried all the suggestions to find it in QB and it is nowhere to be found! The option to add it manually does not seem to exist. I have spent hours trying to find it appreciate any and all help.
I have a customer that sent payment via check. I deposited it into our bank account, however found that my bank deposited it twice. They reversed the duplicate with a debit to my account. In my bank transactions in QB, I see both deposits and the debit from my bank. I applied the original/first deposit to the customer invoice, however don't know what to do or how to reconcile the second deposit and the debit from my bank to clear those transactions? Any help would very much be appreciated. THANK YOU!
The register completely matches the bank statements, even when I compare the starting/ending balance of a month. However, when I go to reconcile it says that the beginning balance is wildly off. I kept undoing the reconciled months thinking that the beginning balance would get to the same number but the amount I'm off for my beginning balance only continues to grow. I've now undid 12 months of reconciliations in an effort to find the month where the starting balance is off and still can't find it. If I continue going farther back to undo more monthly reconciliations I will be into years that have already been submitted for taxes (and I can't mess with that). This whole thing started as having a beginning balance off by +$3,000 and now I'm off by -$107K! For additional context we were behind a few years in our books and when I picked up the books again I noticed that things that should've been labeled as transfers between our bank account and Paypal accounts
How to do a restore backup to a certain date in online quickbooks? I do not have the advance online version.
I am needing to re-issue some paychecks that were never cashed and are now stale. They are from previous years, and are stale. There are many answers that address this issue, but those solutions are not complete - or I am missing something obvious. The re-issued check that needs to print must have today's date - so it can be deposited. All of the other answers to this question don't address this need. QB does not let you change a paycheck date from a prior year - which makes sense. So I am not sure how to get a replacement check into the hands of my employees that has a current and usable date on it.
For personal use, I use Quicken Classic Business & Personal Version 7.5.2. I just set up a new business and created a QuickBooks Checking account. I want to set up my QuickBooks Checking account to download into Quicken directly, but I don't see how to do that. I would rather not manually input the transactions into Quicken Classic. Can someone help? Thanks.
Hello all, new QBO user here, migrated from Desktop Pro 2018. I'm attempting to recreate all my go-to reports in QBO and struggling with this one. I've done a ton of searching of the community here, QB help resources, and Google, but I'm not finding anything that really addresses what I'm trying to recreate. Hopefully, you can point me in the right direction. I'm trying to have a report that shows certain bank balances on a specific date (month end), with a total at the bottom. I can run an account list, but there's not a total and any transactions I entered after the end of the month are included.I can run a Balance Sheet (using month end date) and ignore the non-bank account information below them, but I can't exclude a couple of bank accounts using this method. Good day, I have noticed that when using QBO on weekends, I get a pop-up message that reads "Your connection is not private. Attackers might be trying to steal your information from c4.qbo.intuit.com" Why is this? and Why does it only happen on weekends?I did clear my cache, in case you are wondering. The default margins for the reports appears to be .5" and most printers cut off the edges when they are printed. How do I adjust the right and left margins to expand them to a more standard 1" margin?
My company gave another company a loan which I have listed as Other Asset. We are charging interest. However, there are 3 different types of adjustments that will get applied to the principal of the loan. Under what type of account should I list the interest and the adjustments so the balance is proper on the Balance Sheet?

Never had this problem inn the past ten years, when I do the “link account” feature, it will not display all the accounts. Strangely it will display 2 of three personal accounts and one business credit card account. But it is missing three accounts I need. Back of America is the bank. Help please
This Customer/Project email issue has been reported to QuickBooks by MANY individuals and QuickBooks support refuses to do anything to correct this long-term issue. When using the "Projects" feature, email addresses from the Customers profile will NOT populate correctly regardless of what you do, how you format the email address in the customer profile or update the most current past invoice. This "bug" is causing our Customers to not receive invoices and this is a very basic feature of such accounting software. I too spent 2 hours sharing my screen with level 1-2 and 3 support and they all recognized the problem but advised me that there is nothing wrong with the software since I can manually enter email addresses as I create each Customer invoice....YES....enter email addresses manually....why then use QuickBooks software??? I work for a company that recently purchased 3 properties for short term rental. We use a company called Evolve for our bookings. They list the properties, collect payment and remit payment to us. They collect the nightly fee, a cleaning fee, and taxes. They withhold their 10% management fee from the total and remit the rest to us. We are responsible for remitting occupancy tax to the state and city. I am trying to figure out the best way to record the income, expense and tax liability. I think I need to create a sales receipt but am new to QBO and not quite sure how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Bought an Epson RR-600W and wanted to scan my receipts and have them match current expsenses in Quickbooks Online.It will sync and put the receipts into QB Online but it creates a new expense and does not match. How can we do this?
