Good morning, I am having some difficulty regarding the upgrades to my QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2021. I see or it seems to be that the push is to the Online version. I am a little skeptical about making this move. In my 2021 version I have 6 other companies I manage. It seems that the switch to the Online version will require a separate account for each at a fee for each. I enjoy the freedom to switch between accounts as I do with the 2021 version. It appears that I can upgrade to the 2025 desktop version, however, I see no links to do so. All links seem to send me to sign up or subscribing to the Online versions. From some articles I read, I have until the end of 7/24 to upgrade or make a change. Any advice, suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I am using QB online. The bank initiated refund at the request of the customer happened a few days after the customer payment.
My boss's own a few businesses and they have separate bank accounts for each business. Boss A has some of his personal money held in account A and Boss B has some of his personal money held in account B.I am trying to do the following transaction: Take 5k from account A (boss A is contributing) and move it to account B. Then move the 5k +another 5k from account B (Boss B is contributing). Total of 10k is being moved to account c as a partner contribution from both partners to company C. How do i record each of these transactions? I have automatic bank feedsOut from A. Into B. Out from B. Into C. Is it an expense or income at any point?

I recently volunteered to help a non-profit with their accounting. I am also trying to help them track profitability by project. I am a CPA but am new to QBO (they use QBO Plus). I tried setting up a Project and assigning certain expenses to it. Those expenses are showing up in the Project Transactions tab but are not reflected in any Project Reports. Based on numerous other threads on this topic, I have cleared the cache and verified the transactions are expenses not assets, but they are still not showing up. Any other ideas for how to get this reporting to work? Looking through these threads makes me wonder if this feature is even worth using, so I'd also welcome any feedback on whether it's worth setting up/tracking Projects in QBO. If not, any other ideas on what features could help with this? I'm aware of Classes, but they sound like they're intended more for fund accounting, and I'm trying to track more granular projects than that. Maybe that's the way to go a
Cancelling an entire subscription and then resigning up seems unnecessary given we just want to delete the existing data.
I spent over 2 hrs with QBO chat trying to figure it out. I thought it was limited to multiple email address Customers. But I just tried to update a Customer's 1 email address & that doesn't propagate either. New Projects are ok. Invoicing at the Customer level is ok. But if I try to invoice an existing Customer:Project with multiple email addresses or an updated email address it doesnt work.
Hi community, I'm facing a reconciliation issue and would appreciate any advice: We issued a check to a vendor and recorded it in QuickBooks. A few days later, our bank notified us that the check was never cashed, and the funds were returned to our bank account. To record the returned funds, I created a journal entry in January: Bank account: Debit Accounts Payable: Credit (selected the vendor) Later, I mistakenly marked this as paid in February. However, the payment was never actually made — the check was returned. Now that we've realized the error, the entry is showing up in the February bank reconciliation, but we already closed that month and do not want to reopen it. What is the best way to clean this up without affecting the closed February books? Should I create a vendor credit, reverse the journal entry, or handle it another way? Have been using Quicken (and old version) for our home finances forever; mostly as a checkbook register and to print checks. Looking to do these simple tasks for checking/saving/other accounts on an iPad. Can I do this with Quickbooks for iPad and is there a simple way to transfer data from iPad to computer? Has anyone else encountered this? We recently opened a business savings account with Live Oak Bank. I cannot get QBO to let me log in to connect my account. There are two live oak bank options and I've tried both. I even found an old thread that said the username has to be all lowercase (it is) and the password less than 11 characters (it is). The login field on QBO is asking for a PIN, but I have no PIN set up with live oak, and can't find a spot to create a pin, just a password. I keep getting the "That didn't work. Try signing in again. (103)" error. Really frustrating that I can't link my account to QBO. Is there something I'm missing here? Anyone else had this problem?

A client paid through QuickBooks Online but we are not set up to receive payments and would rather not pay the fee, so I reversed the payment under Transactions but a week later and they still have not received their funds back yet.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and concern regarding the outcome of a recent dispute. Despite providing comprehensive evidence – including email correspondence and shipment tracking information – for a legitimate sale where I shipped the goods, the dispute was decided against me.I am deeply troubled by the fact that there appears to be no avenue to appeal this decision or reopen the dispute. This situation has resulted in a significant financial loss of $3,000 for my business.Furthermore, subsequent events strongly suggest that I was the victim of a scam. The buyer's email address is now bouncing back, and their phone number has been changed. This reinforces my belief that the initial dispute was fraudulent.Given these circumstances, I am struggling to understand why QuickBooks would not rule in my favor when presented with clear evidence and now, indicators of fraudulent activity on the buyer's part.I am also perplexed by the subsequent offer to pay for a protection
Is QBO down?! Login tells me something is wrong, then asks me if I want to update my email or phone number ...I don't want to do any of this. Can't move forward
We’re moving from Avalara to QBO’s sales tax module. I read that after switching, reopening an unpaid invoice might cause the sales tax to change. I assume this happens if the tax codes don’t match exactly between systems. Has anyone experienced this? If so, was it due to mismatched or incorrect tax codes, or how did you resolve it?

I appreciate that Intuit is working to boost security, but passkeys won't work for me. How can I stop getting promoted to create one, Every. Time. I. Log. In.???? The login process is already tedious enough, particularly if I use a new browser instance, and I need to click Skip multiple times a day. I am unable to open or use the desktop app. This is a new issue and is very concerning.
Here's the scenario: 1. Invoice created and sent to John Smith, LLC for $1002. John Smith,LLC pays me $1503. John Smith, LLC says that we can keep the extra $50 for a future invoice This is where I am not sure the next steps. In Option 1: 1. Make receive payment for $100. 2. Make Credit Memo to Client for $50 Problem: When the I go to make a deposit - I cannot attach a credit memo, so it will only attach the $100. How do I match to the other $50? In Option 2: 1. Make Receive Payment for $150. 2. Match to the Deposit of $150 3. It allows me to save the extra $50 as a creditProblem: It is showing a negative $50 in my A/R on cash basis. How would I make sure that I have the credit for a future invoice - if that invoice is not created for a year, and also not have negative A/R showing up on my Balance Sheet in Cash Basis?
