We have consultants traveling to client sites and billing our clients for travel expenses. I've got the consultants capturing these receipts, reviewing them, entering Expense information, they are Billable items showing in the Add to Invoice window and available to add to the invoice. That much works fine. When the Billable Expenses are added to the invoice, the only information showing on the invoice from these Billable Expenses are the Date, Description and Amount fields. The Product/Service field sits empty and unused. I have setup the Product and Services List with various categories of our billable travel expenses (e.g., lodging, airfare, transportation, meals). But if I choose a Product/Service for an added Billable Expense, QBO removes the Description and Date and zeroes out the Amount. All the information from the Expense is lost. In QuickBooks online, is it possible to get more security event information such as the source IP address of a user log and what pages and/or reports a user downloaded or viewed? I'm investigating an unauthorized access event and the "Audit Log" is far to limited for my needs. I tried contacting QB support, but after many attempts and incomplete answers, I gave up. Do I need to subpoena the detailed security audit logs from Intuit, or is there protocol for requesting this data? I have already viewed the Gear > Audit Log, and this does not provide the detail I need for my investigation. I have tried to using the https://security.intuit.com portal; however, the does not appear to be a contact option for requesting this type of security log. In summary, I need to know how to request a detailed security log from Intuit that includes details about the source system, such as the IP address, browser type, etc. Thank you!
I have a desktop version of QB on a Windows laptop. The laptop has died and I have a backup of our QB as of approximately 2 weeks ago saved on a USB drive. Rather than purchase another laptop, I'd really prefer to install QB on my iMac. Here are my questions : 1. How do I install QB on the iMac? Do I have to re-purchase QB for Mac? Can it be Desktop version or must I do online version? 2. Can I use the backup from a Windows based laptop (and Windows based QB) to transfer info to my "new" QB program on the iMac? Any suggestions? I sent my accountant a portable file to work on. While she had it I had to run payroll and make liability payments. I received the portable file back, how do I get the changes I made in my version into the accounts portable file? When I open the accountant's portable file it's showing I did not make last months federal/state liability payments. How do I get these entered into the accountants portable file? Thank you.
A few days ago, I tried to create a Sales Order in the usual way by clicking New>Sales Order.Unfortunately, I was suddenly unable to gain access rights to my Sales Orders.This should not be happening, since I am the account administrator.I also have an Accountant account in my email and tried to access it that way. I could use some insight on the best way to correct our pending builds. Issue - I have pending builds from tax years that have been closed. The issue will be as follows: At the end of each tax year a physical inventory is performed and inventory adjustments are made. Both Positive and Negative counts will be entered and adjusted. In this tax year, I have found builds marked as pending from prior tax years. What would be the suggested process to repair this? If I delete the build, wont the inventory correction have already taken into account this pending build, making it null and void? Any help that can be provided would be appreciated.

The invoicing system just doesn't even work, it's broken beyond belief. Not only is it nigh on impossible to actually have it send an invoice to a clients email, that I literally just gave it: I have to send it to myself and then forward it on manually. But also when the invoice link is clicked, one of many things can happen. Firstly and most likely is that it completely fails to link to said invoice and you have to go back several times until it populates the screen with the invoice. Second is that it just doesn't display properly, often leaving off my all important bank details so my client then had to ask me why I don't have my bank details on my invoices. Thirdly, the pay option never works. Every one of my clients who have tried to use it have said that it refuses to take payment insisting that my bank details are not correct when they very much are. I followed the instructions on the app and the check pictures we clear and both front and back got check marks from the app, but then an error popped up and that said I couldn't deposit the check without any information as to why it would not deposit?
We pay payroll taxes weekly on Desktop. 2 quarters in a row the 941 is showing that we owe the same amount $45.08 additional for each quarter. Why is this happening and how do we change this moving forward so its reports the same on weekly and quarterly?
When in QB online and going to Pay Bills and selecting certain bills to pay but have multiple pages so go to Next Page for the next page of bills to choose from, the balance goes to $0.00 on the first page unselecting the bills to pay on that page. How am I able to go from page to page and keep a running total of what I'm paying and be able to pay multiple bills from two different pages in one check run.
Each employees paycheck is deducted from my bank account instead of the total payroll for the pay period. Is there anyway to change this?

Is it possible to set up a client to make automatic recurring monthly ACH payments through Quickbooks to my companyHi! I own a therapy center where due to the crazy high deductibles in the current healthcare industry, clients accrue rather high balances at the start of each year. Many of them need to make smaller payments over the course of the year to pay off these balances. They want to set up automatic charges to their credit cards to pay smaller amounts monthly. In QB desktop we were able to set up recurring payments that applied to the customers accounts as credits that we could go back and apply to invoices. However, in QB online the only way I can figure out to do automatic credit card changes is with recurring sales receipts. The problem with this is that then I have to go into each invoice and apply the credits from the sales receipts as discounts on the invoices. My funds are being held and I have to wait 3-4 days to hear back from an agent. This is by far the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. QB can hold MY money?
