Hi,I am self employed, not a Limited company.I donate to my local church from my business and put under charitable donations, but my church isn't a charity and I have learnt that these expenses are on my balance sheet as an expense and I don't think they should be.How and what should these be under in chart of accounts and am I allowed to donate to a non charity through my business account? I will put this right depending what it is. Thanks
I have tried to reset screen display setting and zoom options but still not showing delete icon.
My camera is not connecting to Quick books and I can't snap receipts?
We've been using payroll for a year and now it's coming to the end of the year I need to generate P11D's for the staff. I just want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. We (the company) pay for our staffs private health care, the staff do not contribute to this. I've created a new benefit and linked the 5 members of staff. I've entered the annual cost to you for each employee. I've done that, working out pro-rata as our policy renews in august, so the amount for each staff member from the 6th April to 18th August 22 then 19th august 22 to 5th april 23. However, on the main benefits page it shows £0.00 as the cost to you. I assumed this would automatically be calculated from the total of the employees cost.At the moment, I've entered this manually. Is the above the correct way of setting this up?

I am wanting to start using QBO from 1 April for all transactions but (other than bank balances) won't know the opening balances until the old year accounts (pre QBO) have been balanced and closed off in a few weeks time. How best to handle this please?
Has anyone been having any issues connecting metro bank accounts to QBSE again I’ve been trying all day
I noticed the above and contacted support. Apparently there was a glitch and the invoices will have to be generated manually. The recurring transactions that were due to be processed today also need to be resaved in order for them to work properly next time. I assume that this has affected more than just myself.
I haven't had an acknowledgement from quickbooks as yet.
I've just started with QB online and are wanting to add existing invoices that are outstanding from the desktop version. I cannot for the life in me find how to create unpaid invoices. The New transaction list just shows:InvoiceMultiple InvoicesPaymentEstimateSales ReceiptCredit NoteDelayed ChargeStatementCan anyone shed some light as the Help section just says "Find and select unpaid invoice" ????
Hope this is in the correct section - apologies not.Does anyone else using QBSE burn through their mobile data when tracking their mileage? For example my latest trip- 35 minutes (17 miles) used 260mb of my mobile data…! Surely this can’t be right?!!
We have switched to an external payroll processing company, ADP. They submit the taxes etc on our behalf but how do I record that in quickbooks? They give us reports after every pay and on a regular basis, but how do I record that on my end?
We purchased a company vehicle, made payments. The car was stolen and the leasing company sent us a cheque for equity that had been invested in the vehicle (overpayment). It's not income. We paid the lease and they are just refunding the overpayment back. How do I record the cheque we cashed?
We closed an account with the telephone company. They mailed back a cheque for the positive balance that remained on the account. How do I record that in quickbooks? It is not income, it's an overpayment.
We are now with ADP for payroll. When they take the lump sum out of our account, I record it under "Payroll Liability" but for taxes I record "out of scope" but part of that money is taxes paid. How do I record this properly in QB? The only option is HST, no tax, exempt, but there is no option to record the tax portion of that. Life was so simple doing payroll in QB.
We use ADP payroll processors. There were a couple times when they had to reverse funds back into our account (instead of just keeping it and putting it towards the next payroll) and now I have to deal with it. They take out a lump sum amount and then they gave us a ridiculous amount back like $7.53. It just created a bookkeeping nightmare for me that I don't know how to deal with.
I've received a refund from a supplier and followed the steps as follows:1 > Create a supplier credit2 > Create bank deposit to record the refund3 > Create a bill payment to link the credit to the deposit. My concern is that before entering these transactions under Transaction List for the supplier the total at the bottom always showed £0.00. After entering the transactions above it now shows £-856.62 because the deposit and supplier credit both show £-428.31, and the Bill Payment shows £0.00. Is this to be expected or have I made a mistake somewhere? Thanks
Hi, I have a question about adjusting on-behalf payments in Quickbooks. Mine is a Quickbooks online plus account. I had booked hotel accommodation for my client in a Hotel in London. The cost of accommodation was borne by my company. The room service and extras was supposed to borne separately by the client himself. So, the client paid the amount pertaining to room services and extras directly by his credit card and the balance amount was paid by my company via bank transfer. The hotel issued a single invoice and no amount was due to the hotel. My company is not going to reimburse the client for the extras. In this case, Quickbooks shows amount payable to the vendor to the tune of the amount paid by the client. How can I record this in Quickbook? Trying t
Good morning My supplier has provided me with some stock FOC to offset some other charges that my business incurred. How do I adjust stock like this in at zero cost, do I just create a bill with no cost against the products? The product will be sold out at full price and I want to reflect the 100% margin against these sales. I struggle to make any stock adjustments other than booking in against a bill.... thanks for your helpPaul
