If it is a clean delivery, no problem, but sometimes something gets damaged or left on the van and we amend the invoice before sending. It looks like Go cardless is initiating the direct debit cycle as soon as you create an invoice - leaving no scope for additions of corrections? I now have a dashboard full of transations with no matches....

I need to reconnect my Santander bank account to Quickbooks self-employed, but it isn't working. I go through the reconnection process, but when I click the login button nothing happens. Just to add... I inspected the web page and it shows a number of Javascript errors (see screenshot). I've tried in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, and also on my mobile using Chrome browser (I would have tried the android app - but the app doesn't even work - that's an entirely different story, that I don't have time to go into now). Just to clarify, this is the process I am going through: 1) On the Transactions screen I click 'Renew your connection'2) Then I click 'Reauthorise now'.3) Then I click 'Reconnect'4) On the next screen (entitled 'Consent to share your data') I click 'Agree'.5) Then on the next screen (entitled 'Sign into your bank') I click 'Sign in' and absolutely nothing happens. At year end 2021 a JE was made to Dr A/R and Cr Prepaid Income. I believe this invoice should have been reversed in January of 2022. It was not.I have created a JE to reverse this in December 2022 prior to year end. The books are correct.However, my A/R aging detail report shows two line items.In the "Over 90 days section" it shows the 2021 JE. In the "30 days" section it shows the December JE. When I close the books will these two cancel each other and clean up the report? What do I need to do to clean this up? The rest of the A/R has been resolved and so I will start out clean at the new year.

I just recently migrated a client over to QBO from desktop - each employee the company has ever had on file migrated over as well (70+). These are the issues I am running into: I accidentally made a few inactive, not realizing they had been on payroll earlier in the year. I have gone in and revised their status, but they are not appearing in the employee list in "finish adding my team" which then renders the payroll history button unavailableI also do not have employee files with information, such as birthdays, ss #, etc. which is needed to complete the employee setup - This information was not put into desktop either; obviously in a perfect world we would expect businesses to have this information, but that is not the case here. I need to run payroll! I cannot run payroll for any employees until this is all set up.
I do not want to allow my clients to pay online. Howdo I turn this off?

How I can allocate the invoice and the delivery fee or the expense transaction to one customer at the same time? Also, how can I allocate the expense created to my stock or the cost of sales? *tst

I run a Shopify store that makes its products from material bought in. I have set up the inventory system with the cost of each product sold as i would like to see this on a P&L.now looking at the P&L I release that I've messed up as my raw material costs are also on there, so my costs are doubled. Is there a way I can keep the costs in the inventory and run this report separately without it showing on the p&l currently it shows as cost of goods sold.
My client wants to take over the VAT return submissions. I am Primary Admin user and he is Standard User with full Access at that level. According to QuickBooks webpages he should be able to submit VAT returns.He would presumably need to record his Government Gateway code and password etc to allow this but it is not obvious how we change from my Gateway credentials to his.We can see that MTD can be turned "off" but this gives a warning to "unsubscribe" from MTD with a link. That link is broken probably because the MTD sign up routine has changed to become automatic.Can anyone tell me the procedure.

I have started to file my CIS returns using Quickbooks Online. When I log into the HMRC account, these returns do not show as being filed, which is because i filed through QB's I guess. However, if I need to amend a return, you have this facility on the HMRC portal but I can't see anything about this on QB's other than to unfile a return. Would I use this to amend a return?
Is anyone else busy preparing their clients' accounts using the wonderful QuickBooks Desktop at the moment and feeling very sad (and mystified) by the fact that next December we'll be suffering the woeful inadequacies of QuickBooks online? Just doing accounts for a £500K Turnover company and making YE adjustments and, as expected, its a breeze as Desktop just does everything right... the accountants version automatically runs all reports showing a debit and credit column, when you drill down into a transaction and amend it you then get back to the report you were working on (not some other nonsense), I can report on almost anything with absolute ease, I can open as many reports as I want, I never have to worry about slow internet issues or cookies causing problems, I can journal to the VAT account... it is like preparing to say goodbye to a trusted colleagues who is retiring.... yes that sentimental but that's the general feeling after 15+ years of using the product! Hello, I've noticed a change in behaviour in the GoCardless integration. Until the end of August when a payment failed to collect (usually due to insufficient funds) QB would reattempt the collection automatically and I would get a notification that this is the case. Recently though I get the notification of failed payment from GC but nothing from QB anymore and I have to retry the payment directly from the GoCardless dashboard. Is this an expected change and QB no longer retries collection automatically? Or is something wrong with my integration - and if it is the latter, how would I go about correcting this. Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide!
