For some reason that I still do not understand my first PAYROLL in the standard payroll program did not submit to HMRC! I have just received a notification from HMRC that have may now have to pay a fine! how do I fix this?

I have created asset accounts in the online version, they appear on a balance sheet report.the accounts are loaded into the iOS mobile app, however the iOS app balance sheet report does not show the new asset accounts.
We sell physical products and use Quickbooks to track the quantities. The stock asset account is record, the unit sales price is also recorded on QuickBooks and linked to our "Sales of Product Income" income account. The unit cost for the product is likewise recorded on QuickBooks and linked to our "Inventory Cost of Sales -COS" expense account. Each time a customer buys a product and the invoice is paid, I noticed that QuickBooks records the income under the "sales of product income" account but also automatically records the inventory cost of sales - COS expense and reduces the stock asset. While I want the software to record the sales of product income and decrease the stock asset automatically, how do I stop quickbooks from recording the cost of sales on every invoice based on the product's unit cost in the product information section?We record the inventory cost of sales after every bill from our supplier and this is a problem because the cost of sales is being rec
Hi all, The client doesn't use mileage tracker but I keep his mileage log. I want to manually enter mileage expenses and I'm not sure whether I should create a journal? (if so, what do I credit), or set the owner as a supplier? I've never done it on quickbooks for a sole trader so I would appreciate your help. Thank you
Hi all, I have invoiced a customer for a machine for £500. They have sold me another machine for £800 and raised an invoice for £300 to account for the part exchange.How do I mark their invoice for £500 as paid when the only bank transaction that occured was a payment from my account to theirs for £300?? I checked audit log. For 10months states no activity which is correct, but on banking I should see to review items to reconcile and create entries. No items showing. Lots of transactions on my bank statements

Hi I have two questions - the service I provide is VAT exempt so how do I enter this into qb online? Also, is there a way of calculating corporation tax? I want to be able to enter this info so I can get a tax estimate that reflects my circumstances. Thanks Denise

I've recently gone Vat registered and am trying to settle up my first payment. I can click on 'Prepare return' and then submit to HMRC, but the end date of the report in next month so it comes up 'Select an end date which is not in the future' but I can not see anywhere to edit it. I've tried a quarterly report but it just goes back to this. Thanks
Our client has had to back date VAT registration to 1st December 2020. As a result the first VAT return will be for the extended period 1st December 2020 to 30th June 2022 (i.e 17 months). Setting the VAT start as December will not pick this up. How can we set the first VAT return dates in QuickBooks to report this and submit the VAT return for the 17 month period?
