There seems to be an extra "cost" number under an employee's hours when I run Job Costing for a project. I understand it is calculating my employer's share of EI and CPP as an expense to the company and this year there is the second CPP (which right now appears as zeros). But there is a fourth number and I don't understand what that is calculating.TypeDateNumAccountQtyAmountPay Cheque19/01/2024Direct Dep64000 · Payroll Expenses2.0033.00Pay Cheque19/01/2024Direct Dep64000 · Payroll Expenses 1.88Pay Cheque19/01/2024Direct Dep64000 · Payroll Expenses 0.00Pay Cheque19/01/2024Direct Dep64000 · Payroll Expenses 0.81Pay Cheque19/01/2024Direct Dep64000 · Payroll Expenses 1.90 Any thoughts?
Payroll SetupWhile setting up payroll, we received a message saying we should receive a small verify transaction. 3 weeks later we have not received those transactions.
I entered transactions manually for a couple months without using the bank feed. Will past transactions from months I have reconciled be entered through the bank feed if I reconnect to the bank feed?
Need to link the overpaid balance to reduce this week's pay out

I replaced an old credit card with a new one. When pulling bank transactions QBO isn't pulling any transactions from this card, this the outbound payments to it from my chequing account. When I refresh my bank connection, the account still does not populate. How do I get QBO to recognize this new card and start pulling the transactional data?
I never had turned on the mobile QuickBooks App last year. It seemed to get the data directly from my Apple Car Play. But stopped working after Jan 2, 2024. Why?
Previous bookkeeper used the old program QB Desktop 2019 Pro. I have taken over and am trying to open her Back up copy (not Portable Company file) using her password. QB 2023 Premier says wrong password. Before I start the long journey in QB Support, I thought I would ask here! Thanks!
Clients retail and wholesale are separate. Wants to have the retail under the wholesale. I would like to keep the companies separate and have the reports imported from the retail into the wholesale. would anyone be able to offer another way or would this work
Has anyone else had problems with online support disappearing in mid-chat? Twice in two weeks now I was chatting with online support, and suddenly without warning, the support person left the chat and never came back. I was never transferred to anyone else and after a minute or two, the chat was terminated by QB. Today when this happened, I tried to initiate a new chat, and five times got the message "something went wrong, try refreshing your screen". I kept the transcripts of the chats. The last one had not even completed the verification process when the QB person left the chat.
Hello, Is it possible to add a line on pay cheques, similar to vacation pay, to account for general holiday pay owed to construction employees? It would have to be able to calculate a percentage based on wages. Thanks
We are accrual based, but our billing methods are to obtain 50% down before a project begins and then we bill for the remaining 50% upon project completion. So the issue that I am running into is that when I go to create an invoice in QBO to get the customer to pay for the initial 50% payment, QBO automatically books revenue and a receivable for the amount invoiced, when in fact there should be no entry at date of invoice, but when the payment is received there should be a debit to cash and a credit to advance customer payments (unearned revenue). Then as progress happens on the project revenue is credited and the unbilled account is debited proportionally until 50% of the project is reached, and then the entry should be to debit AR and credit revenue, bill the remaining 50% upon completion of the project and book a debit to cash and credit to AR upon receipt of the last 50%. Right now I am having to do a lot of manual entries to reverse the effects of QBO autom
Hello, I used to have a sole proprietorship, and then started a new business. A client that works with both paid my new business for invoices made to for the proprietorship. I have since transferred the money to the correct account but the customer now shows a credit of course. How to I show that I now transferred the money back to where it belongs and not have a credit on their account?
One payment from the client was doubled, and instead of one payment, we see 2 identical payments in the QBO feed (in the bank is only one)
