Hi, I'm doing a review of all Payroll Activities relative to Paid Time Off. Looking for Vacation Accruals, Vacation payouts, by hours, and by amount, and can't seem to find this report. Previously, there was a report that provided this information, and i feel it was moved, and i can't find it.
I'm using QuickBooks Online - Essentials I'd like to use AR as a Shareholder Register. I set up a customer Shareholders and each of them as sub-customers. I set up Service codes: Capital Contributions, Employee Contributions, DRIP Reinvestment, and Redemptions. I found a way to have the Contributions and DRIP show up in a focused AR report. How could I reflect shareholder Redemptions since AR doesn't allow negative totals? I want the Contribution and Redemption to appear under separate codes. Would the refund feature work, albeit the refund directed to a different service type/account code? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

Good Afternoon, I have a company that manages my on-line shopping store. They house the products and ship from their warehouse. I receive what they call a partner share at the end of the month. I also pay a few for them to manage my site and a bank fee for them to transfer the funds to me. I also pay the shipping for customers on orders over 75.00. Can I get some direction on how to post the commission, fees and shipping costs in QB online.

Hi,I have filed the year end HST of 2022 to Canada Revenue Agency. Then I tried to record it in QuickBooks by clicking 'Prepare Return' in the taxes section. However, quickBooks only showed me the message "These books have been closed. If you need to reopen them to record an earlier payment, enter your password.". It did not create any new journal entry, which I can reconcile with the payment I made to CRA.Moreover, in the taxes section nothing changed. It is still showing me "Prepare a return", and the 2022-year end HST is still there. The books have not been closed like they were supposed to be. Please Advise.
I am having a coding issue when I post a bill from suppliers for raw material/inventory. To illustrate, the supplier bill in question is for $20,000 plus GST, total $21,000. Given the above example, I would expect the following journal entry: Debit Inventory: $20,000Debit GST paid on purchases/ITC $1,000 Credit Accounts payable $21,000 The above entry does post in the GL, however there are a couple of extra lines posting with the entry that are causing the inventory costing to be incorrect. The following entry is what is actually posting:Debit Inventory: $20,000Debit GST paid on purchases/ITC $1,000D
I paid an employee a cash advance which was taxed as normal. why does the deduction from the next payroll not reimburse the taxes paid?
I invited my accountant to my quickbooks online but when they login they do not see anything or have access to any accounts
I currently have a QB Desktop Pro and would like to link it to my QB Payment account to accept credit card but whenever I try to, it shows me "Cant reach this page". I have tried doing this 2 ways: 1.) is through Customers > Add Credit Card Processing > Link Merchant Account to company file2.) Home > Receive Payments > enter credit card info > process visa payment when saving > Link to an existing Quickbooks payment accountBoth goes to a page saying "cant reach this page" or "navigation to webpage was cancelled" Is there any way around this so I can accept credit card payments?
I have tried connecting with Manulife Bank Visa Card online, however Quickbooks Online would not let this happen. Here's the link: https://manulifecreditcards.fdecs.com/eCustService/ The system somehow assumes that the Manulife Visa card is of different currency than Canadian Dollars which is no the case. And asks to subscribe to some other version of Quickbooks. Can some from Quickbooks assist with this issue. I have tried it on the online and Desktop version several times over several days. Thanks
We pay suppliers by eft and want to send the payment advise out after has been reviewed but not sure how this works yet
I am trying to setup my own Accounting practice books and bringing data across from Xero and just need to know the order in which to setup the various item and a quick step by step guide - Assuming before anything else, I would 1) define the fiscal YE and start date and then 2) Setup COA, customers and vendors just need a quick overview of the next steps and where to go to set these up - do I bring in Open AR/AP next and where do I find templates for these ? and how do I setup bank accounts and opening balances etc. I have setup companies in other platforms easily but QB isn't as intuitive and there are a lot of videos online but hard to find ones specific to what I need. I just need a quick overview of what order to setup everything in and where exactly to do it pleeeese and thank you.
I don't want to have to manually input transactions.I don't have the credit card yet. I want to know if it's worth applying for.
how to enter foreign employment income in protax?
Hi, we currently use Sage, and Sage can track our Eco Fees for each province that we are required to do reporting for; it's based on the volume of product that is being sold. Please see the eco fees below; this is captured for each province. Can quick books track this? 75% of our business comes from selling stains which we are required by law to collect and report the eco fee for. I can't figure out how to add the eco fee to our products so they can be tracked properly in Quickbooks. Hello everyone, I am a recent graduate with a postgraduate certificate in Accounting. I want to work as a bookkeeper in Canada. As I was looking to apply for bookkeeper jobs, I realize most of the companies require Quickbooks certification or Quickbooks experience. Even though I did my postgraduate certification in Accounting, I never got the opportunity actually to learn the Quickbooks software. It was only when I started looking for bookkeeper job, I found out that Quickbooks certification/experience is actually required. However, I am not sure how to get started with the training and certifications as there are several versions of Quickbooks. I would really appreciate if any of the community members could help me figure out how to get started with Quickbooks and some advice on how to get hired as a bookkeeper. Thank you for taking your precious time to go through my question.
We did receive confirmation email from QBO that the direct pay has been successfully set up. Any ideas on why we are not able to process the payment from QBO? Thank you!

QBO created the client incorrectly when I tried to link a spouse. It created the client as a business client (no option given to do otherwise) and now will not link them. I need to delete it and create as an individual, not a self-employed T1.
I can't do this by editing the chart of accounts.
The company has CDN and US vendors and customers. When the Balance Sheet report is run both bank accounts are displayed in CDN value. How do you run a report that shows the USD value (foreign currency) not converted to CDN (home currency). And how do you run a Profit & Loss to show only foreign currency value not the CDN converted value?
