I am running the Online QB report "Profit and Loss Report" for this year 2023. The report for one account is flashing.I have the latest version of Chrome browser. The "Balance Sheet" report does not have this problem.Additionally, the P&L Report is not responding when I try to export that one account.
I now have duplicate journal entries with different information. I need the system to create a new journal entry number.
Hello again,Just when i think I've got it, I notice something amiss in my balances.I just recorded a vendor refund following these steps: 1) Recorded a deposit,2) Recorded a Bill Credit and3) Linked the deposit to the bill credit. As you can see on the attached screenshot, this left a negative balance with the Vendor. Why?What did I miss? Any insight would be very much appreciated - again. 🙂
QBDT 2023+From the QB instruction "Modify your Chart of Accounts for your 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC filing""If you need to file both the 1099-NEC and the 1099-MISC, you need to have a different expense account for each form. A single account can only be used for one form when you use QuickBooks to create your 1099s. " We have several vendors who are not corporations and would appear to be candidates for 1099 filing; However, their expenses are not all coded into one single GL account, and for accurate financial reporting they can't be. For example, we have several events each year for the public, and we have a variety of vendors preparing for those events ... wiring for sound and lights for entertainers, entertainers, printing posters and other material for the event, etc. Each of these events could have several expense categories, and thus, costs could easily be booked into multiple GL accounts in order to accurately reflect the "profit or loss" for those events. App for android running on phones less than a year old, Doesn't matter if I crop or not. Process gets stuck at the spinning circle and "uploading documents." I have 2 different devices with this app which USED to work as recently as 2 days ago. Cleared caches and data, uninstalled-reinstalled-re-logged in, I am able to forward receipts via email, for the time being. It's annoying and extra steps.What am I doing wrong.
I have a client whom we run their payroll and manage their accounting and they use and need to use the projects feature in QuickBooks online. They have multiple project across multiple states, so run their payroll we need to add the time sheet into each project independently per employee prior to running the payroll. The client wants to be able to see payroll check transactions for each project. However, upon checking the transaction list for each project, we have noticed that there's some paychecks that do show up, but there's multiple, and by multiple I'm talking about 20, 30, 40, 50, payroll checks that don't show up in the specified projects that they correspond too. This client run payroll weekly. We started payroll for them since July 2023. We noticed that all the payroll checks for the initial payroll of July and the first payroll for August shows up complete in the transaction list. But every payroll after that is either incomplete or not showing up at all in the corr
For example - a client pays their quickbooks invoice using their credit card. When the client is reviewing their statement, they do not recognize the business name and initiate a chargeback. Where does this "description" information ull/come from in Quickbooks? I would like to review the info and update for clarification -- as the information is not accurate.

Hello, today I learned how to link Vendor refunds with the relating bank deposits. (I did not realize they had to be linked). I went through last fiscal year and cleaned those up. I also went through this fiscal year and did the same. However, my Unpaid Bills Detail report still shows some balances. Those balances should show zero because I'm sure I addressed each one. I've attached a file for the visual, which hopefully will shed some light on my problem. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

(Better late than never, right?)So, my question today is: How do I set up Customer Discount - as an income or an expense?Example - we give a discount to a customer for awarding 2 jobs back to back. Example: Jobs total 25,000.... Discount of $1,500. New total is: $23,500.00 Any insight would be much appreciated.Thanks
I am trying to print a Transaction Report by Account, and it's reporting in date order properly, but the checks issued by date are not showing in the proper numerical order, using the Classic View, which I prefer. The check numbers are in the correct numerical sequence using Modern View, but that is not an ideal report for printing (for us). Has anyone found a way to get the check number sequence to be correct in Classic View?

If I could export just the customer names to excel that would be useful, but when I export I get all of the jobs listed with each customer so each customer is listed multiple times. I just want a quick way to get a total count on customers, not jobs...

We are currently trying to set up a report from QBO. When we pay an employee, we do so without the Payroll feature in the software for insurance reasons. We simply make a new check and enter in a few line items. Wages, Federal Payroll Tax Liability, Medicare Liability, SS Liability, and State Tax Liability. Each one of these is given a class depending on the department that the employee is a part of. What we'd like to do is run a report that shows ALL line items with that class on it. We want to be able to see how much is going towards the payroll of the "cabinet making" department separate from the "countertop making" department. This includes their wages, the amount of payroll tax we pay on their wages, the amount of 401k match we pay, etc. How can we generate a report for all transactions containing a certain class?
Can I print checks using QuickBooks online?
I deleted my payroll account before running reports for the first quarter 2023.
I have uninstalled the app and it still won't allow me to upload receipts / invoices for bill pay. I have also cleared all the cache.
Since the last big update I lost the ability to run a report for the sales by product/services. Have it moved? Is that no longer available on the Simple Start level of QB Online?
