Where do I change a contractor/vendor from 1099-MISC to 1099-NEC?
Hey there QuickBooks community! My husband and I have been using individual QB Online accounts through our previous accountant since 2015, paying $15/mo. We've recently switched accountants, and upon informing our former accountant, he closed our QB online accounts and provided us with downloaded reports. He mentioned that he's unable to transfer the account ownership and billing to us, stating: "The actual QB Online is still under my account and stays billed under my account. You will have to open your own QB account. Use the data and journal reports to start your new QB accounts."I came across a video explaining that QB Online account ownership and billing can be transferred without creating new accounts. However, our former accountant mentioned that because our accounts were part of a special program for accountants, where accounts were purchased in bundles, this option might not apply to us.Can anyone provide some guidance on this? Now every time I want to export to Quicken, I have to go into Settings, find Export and then export. Much less convenient than previously when there was an EXPORT shortcut on home page.

I have expenses that auto-populate in QBO as being paid by check, but they are actually paid by check card (Debit card). I would like to change these to show up as expense rather than check under type, but cannot find a way to do so. Would appreciate any help or insight here!
Hi, I'm trying to assign vehicle expenses by using the "vehicle" icon/dropdown but under my QBSE I don't see this pull-down menu showing or the vehicle icon to assign the transaction to. I added my vehicle to QBSE so I don't know why this isn't showing. Whenever I try to delete (mark inactive) an account I get this message "This account cannot be deleted because it is used by a recurring template or scheduled liability payment." I am using simple start and have no intention of upgrading. I don't need recurring templates or payroll. The data was converted from a desktop version of Quickbooks. How would I go about deleting the information that is preventing me marking these account inactive?
I have found what appears to be a glitch in the platform when logging in. If you have a subscription to Quickbooks online, and inadvertently log into ProConnect using your existing company email or login ID, the app will automatically convert your account to an Accountant profile. It will completely detach your company database from your user ID, and you will spend hours and hours online with support trying to figure out how to recover. Most of the online experts will not be able to help you. I discovered this bug after spending nearly 10 hours online with support personnel, and we only by chance figured out a workaround. It got me back in, but the association to my primary adminstrator ID seems to be permanently lost because of the glitch.

I purchased desktop pro plus 2022 last year after having desktop 2017 since 2017. Today I tried to gain access to my account, last log in was just 7-10 days ago, an I am being told that my subscription has ended! I decided to call and speak with QB support and was told that I would need to Re-purchase another year for $500 in order to gain access to our company files and use QB again. Did I miss something? I thought that once purchased you use it as you wish and the “subscriptions” fell off as they fall off. Subscriptions meaning; payroll, online banking transfers, etc. HELP!! I need access to my files and I am not switching to online!
Balance sheet items do not show in proper class column even though the class is being assigned at time of entry. Income statement is working correctly by class.
I am frustrated and struggling with the new user interface. Why did you have to change something that was working well? Did you bother to do user testing? Is there any way to revert back to what I was using last week? I have a whole list of things I commonly used that I can't find anymore. Thanks for the increased stress and the decreased productivity.
Want to check to be sure ....We need to update our Pro+ 2023 to 2024, and I believe all we need to do is to go to Help | Upgrade your QuickBooks to get this done, is that correct? Or is the upgrade process different now? I've been away from QB Pro / Premier for a while and want to be sure I do the right thing. Thanks in advance for guidance & suggestions.
