I am trying to prepare W-2c's for a client and I have entered the corrected federal and state wages. When I go to print the forms, the state information is not pulling to any of the forms. I have talked to about 5 different support people, two of which hung up on me. I have wasted about 4 hours and I still don't have an answer as to why this is happening. Beyond frustrated!! Any help would be appreciated!!
the employee's last day was 3/1/24 but received a paycheck for the period ending 3/15/24 in error.
Are there fees with this if its possible?

Using quickbooks desktop, need to account for credit reduction on FUTA in CA. When I edit the payroll item it does not show the amount I need to set it to (.9%). How do I properly account for this?
We had to close a bank account quickly due to fraudulent activity. However, we had several paychecks over few years that were never cashed so in quickbooks I have a negative cash balance. how do i handle this? Is there a way to reprint checks using the new bank account? essentially i am trying to close the account, but can't with a negative balance. I know i just can't void them.
I want to know if Quickbooks automatically files the mw506 forms needed for Employee withholding and can direct transfer the withholding $Money amount to the state of maryland. In an automated way through Quickbooks Payroll using ach transfer. Is quickbooks sophisticated enough to do this? Please let me know the limitations of automating this
We are thinking about using QB Time instead of the weekly timesheet. However, I'm getting errors in Time. Even though the employee is already set up, I click create employee (cause there's no other option), then that leads to it saying it can't add time for this person. It says refresh or try again later. It never resolves. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
We've encountered what the Payroll Help Desk calls a system "glitch". (Investigation #101190). When processing the payroll for March 15 for 2 employees (scheduled to be paid twice a month) the payroll system #1) processed checks with the date of 2/29/24 instead of 3/15/24 and then #2 changed payroll settings for them. These employees are no longer mapped to the account #s for their payroll on the profit and loss statements (monthly or ytd). No matter how many times I update to make sure their actual pay matches their budgeted pay. in payroll settings the actual ytd totals end up at the bottom of the profit and loss statement while the budget amounts are listed with their chart of account numbers. Employees who were paid on 2/29/24 (and are scheduled to be paid monthly) have no problem.(YET!?) Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Any ideas how to get QB to move along to address this? All they tell me is "The engineers are working on it". Any fixes you can think of. Thanks!

I just finished payroll and ran (as I typically do) the Payroll Liabilities Report. However, it is not even close to being correct. For example, it shows $208 for Federal withholding where it should be around $2400. Why is this happening?
I updated payroll constantly and have all the current updates. When I went to do payroll it said its been 37 days since my last update and QB won't calculate payroll taxes until I update. Hit the update button - it says I have all the current updates but still says its been 37 days since I last updated and it won't let me do payroll. HELP
Hi! The stub portion of some of my employee paychecks is not printing correctly. There are 2 columns on the stub. The left side of the column is full with employee earning, taxes, etc. The last line shows the current sick time. It then jumps to the right column and only prints "YTD" with the amount. It looks very unprofessional. The sick time heading, current and YTD should all be grouped together in the same column. I spoke with someone at QuickBooks today and he said it's my printer settings. That makes no sense and he couldn't find where to fix it. If I print paystubs, it prints all together in the right column. Anyone know how to fix? Changing the font size does not change the stub portion. Thanks!
