How do I report income paid to a non-US citizen working in a foreign location? I am a US-based charitable organization that has an employee that is a Canadian citizen working in Haiti. She thinks she should get a W-2 but I don't think so.
If the employee was in another state such as NY, I know I am supposed to withhold NJ tax. However FL doesn't have state tax. Please help. Thanks.
The tips that our customers leave when they pay with their credit cards are booked to the Tips Liability account when our daily sales from Square come through. I pay out these tips in the employees' paychecks using 'Paycheck Tips', but they are being booked to the wages expense account. How do I get the tips paid to employees to be booked to the liability account when I run payroll?

Hello. We have to upgrade out QB Desktop Pro 2019 to 2022. If I use the program with the payroll, do I still have to pay $2 - $4 per employee each month? I have almost 100 employees and don't want to spend an extra $200 - $400 a month. Thanks.
I cannot look up people or vendors with my spy glass. Why not?
Enhanced payroll did regular update this morning, and now I can't even VIEW the state unemployment report without setting up a bank account for E-Pay!!! Are you kidding me? In the middle of tax season, trying to get those out AND 1st QTR, and THAT's the time for Intuit to do this crazy stuff! When I go to Manage Filing Methods, the State Unemployment section shows no other option besides E-pay now. In VA, all employers file electronically on the VEC website. So now I can't even record an after-the-fact payment because I get the same message whether I try to view the form or make the payment or anything....just the error that tells me I have to set up a bank account for E-pay. Does anyone know of a way to get around this? All my clients are NOT going to want to get setup for e-pay through QB.
Clicking "pay now," despite it being paid already, says that quickbooks has determined that you do not owe any taxes at this time.
I am wondering if I can go back and edit weekly timesheets (only the class portion) after I have run payroll using those timesheets.
Hi there, I work for a payroll processor and we have a client that is utilizing QuickBooks Online. They want their payroll data to import into QuickBooks Online with every payroll run. Is it possible to provide them with an Excel file of their payroll data and they can import it to QuickBooks Online? Thank you!
I have been using Intuit online payroll that I access through Bank of America. Was told I had to transfer to Quickbooks online payroll. I do not use Quickbooks (I use Quicken). So I clicked on 'let's do it' to transfer to Quickbooks online payroll thinking it would be simple. Not so much. First it then told me to login to my Quickbooks account, and it said I needed to have a Quickbooks accounting program. This is something that was never mentioned in the email to me about transferring.. so I have to pay for Quickbooks plus the Online Payroll?? Ok, so I signed up thinking I'll give it a try. When I login to my Quickbooks and then click on payroll, it wants me to sign up for a payroll account. But I already did! How the heck do I access my Quickbooks online payroll account that I am paying for along with the Quickbooks accounting account? I signed back into Bank of America and tried to log back into my online payroll through there and the link is broke
Sirs, I have assisted payroll and have always sent in any tax rate notices to '[email address removed]' however, trying to do that now, it is getting rejected - is there a new email to send the notice to? thanks!Carol K
Our firm offers unlimited sick time for employees. We don't currently track it but we would like to start so we can see what the costs are. As well if possible to have it reflect on a paystub when employees take that time and I enter it. Is it possible to set up a sick pay policy for each employee that we can use when they're off and track everything? My thought was making the sick time renew per pay period to the hours we're paid, 86.67 per period. Is there a better way? Thanks!
I have one monthly employee. She was hired in 2021, but when I go to pay employees in QB desktop, it shows that payroll is overdue for 06/20/20. I don't understand. I have to enter the correct the pay period end date and the check date every time I pay her. How do I correct this?
the instructions I attempt to follow online are no longer correct. There is no edit button available once I have selected the employee.
I know that QB Desktop Payroll Enhanced can prepare the Florida New Hire Report, but can it also e-file the report?
I need to pay an employee who missed time due to sickness using their sick hours. How do I do that?
We have never paid taxes into the SUI. I stated this last year and QB had to correct then also. Please advise.

Hello, will there be an update to the Form 941 for Q3 2020 due to the Employee payroll tax deferral?
