payroll screen changed to one employee vs all employees
I have quickbooks desktop 2019 Pro and need to upgrade by May 2022. We have quickbooks 'standard' payroll service currently. It appears Standard isn't a choice for payroll anymore for new users. We have a small church with 3 employees so I don't want to spend more than needed. If I pay the 349 per year subscription for desktop pro 2022, will the 'standard' payroll still work for me?THanks
what s my withholding for the last payroll
For example, starting distance 123 Main St Washington, DC ending at 456 River Rd Baltimore,MD Quickbooks will calculate the trip distance as .01 miles. This happens for every trip no matter where I go. I keep privacy on and tracking set to always.
I have tried, over the course of 3 weeks, to get QB support to assist me with a relatively straight forward payroll tax issue. My company is based out of Florida. We used to have 1 employee in New York, so we had QB online payroll setup for both Florida and New York. However, for over a year, we've exclusively worked/been based out of Florida, and all employees are based in Florida. We requested for the NY-specific payroll options in QB to be removed over a year ago, and they are still in our system. Some forms are still being sent to NY from our company by QB payroll automatically. Through online chat, email, and phone, I have reached out to QB support on multiple occasions. The first occasion [case number removed], they told me they got with the backend team who would have it resolved in 2 business days. They also said I would receive an email confirm. Neither of these things happened. When I followed up a week later [case number removed], the specialis

Are there plans to have Quickbooks online provide support for the new Washington State Paid Family & Medical Leave program? https://esd.wa.gov/paid-family-medical-leave
Hello, I just got off the phone with a Level 1 payroll expert. He tried but was not able to help. In theory a business consultant will be calling me.While I wait, here is the situation. In Nov 2021, our QBS payroll online Core system stopped working. We ended up doing rough calculations of employees' checks and paid them with paper ones for 2 + months. Many, many lengthy calls later, Payroll Core is working as of mid January. Here is my question. In order to get our QBO records in order, we completed payroll correction worksheets for 3 employees' 7 paychecks. The Payroll correction worksheets had all the tax and benefit details for both er and employee on each paycheck. It took 4 weeks, but the adjusted paychecks have been entered into our QBo by a payroll tax expert. Here is the issue. I don't fully understand how to reconcile these adjusted checks to the paper checks that were written during the time period. I will also tell you tha
Hello, How to handle different L&I tax rate for the same emloyee? We have workers working on different orojects and L&I has different rates if they do Pile driving, Waterproofing or Concrete flatwork. How can you setup different rates in Quick books payroll for the same employee and just setup hours he worked on each category? Thank you!
In September 2021 we switched accounting systems. We moved to QuickBooks Desktop and added Assisted Payroll. The quarterly reports have not been filed in a timely manner, we are getting delinquency notices for our RT-6 forms for Quarter 3 and Quarter 4 of 2021 and the W2s for ALL of our employees are wrong as they are not taking into account the deductions for the pension contributions (Box 12). All the problems seem to be tied to "onboarding" or that is what every new agent says. We have been trying to get ahold of someone who could help us with this situation, amend the YTDs, the W2s and file the corresponding reports in a timely manner, but it seems impossible. We have called dozens of times, every new agent assigns us a new case number each time, our case(s) are "escalated" and still nobody responds. We are a government agency and need to keep our documentation timely for audit purposes and QuickBooks and Intuit are just making this task impossible. Needless to say that it is Febru
We have several bills that are paid by the company that employees also contribute to. We are a towing and repair facility, so for example, The company owner has an account with a uniform company. The owner's uniforms, other cleaning supplies, and uniform insurance (for all) is paid by the company. Each employee is responsible for the cost of their uniforms weekly. This is set up as a payroll deduction with a liability account. We have the same scenario for cell phones and tool accounts where both company funds and employee funds are combined to pay the bill. When the bill is entered, I can break it down by which account is responsible for what and it correctly reflects on the COA balances for the employee liability account, however, it still remains as an open balance in the "pay liabilities" section. It does warn about paying liabilities in the "pay liabilities" screen so I am assuming that is why it remains as an open balance there
Regular work week is 40 hours I offer comp time in leu of overtimeHow do I set this up? I.e. if employee works 44 hours a week. 4 hours is added to paid time off and the rest is paid as regular pay. Surely there is a way to do this?
