Hi all. I have set up several recurring transactions that post to our checking account register. These are all automatically assigned with a check number, and they should all leave that field blank. I have tried to edit the recurring template but leaving the check number blank doesn't do anything. I had this problem in desktop as well and I was surprised it was the same in Online.
HelloI started a new 23 Enterprise company file. I am trying to import the 22 iif file, but I am getting an error that the iif file is open in another application. Can anyone help?
I am new to QBO. I would appreciate any help! We run a small landscape company but I already use a program for that to dispatch, invoice, etc.....but that is the customer side of things. I set up QBO to have a business side of things to enter in deposits, bills, taxes, etc....( we have an accountant that does our payroll) but the program we use has transferred all the customers over and made invoices, etc....I feel like it is making it look like we receive more money then we do and I just wanted QBO, like I said...for the business side only. At this point I am trying to clean up my quickbooks and void all the invoices and payments it brings over since QBO is already bringing over my bank info and deposits. Am I messing things up more? Is it possible to not have the "Jobber" program we use to carry over all the individual customer info without affecting the overall idea of QBO?
Would like to use tags but they are not visible in any chart of account reports, nor can you batch enter tags (using reclassify)

I have two projects with the same name and I want to merge the two together so that all the transactions are consolidated.How do you do this? To be clear: they are 2 different projects (not customers, not accounts, etc.)
Looking at Purchase Orders, Estimates, and Invoices, how can I adjust the column width and have it save that way? The Description box is very narrow, which should be the widest column, and the Quantity box is very wide, which should be the most narrow. I don't want to have to make the font smaller.
Hi There, We are a small church that also has a preschool. We are one legal, non-profit entity. We use QB-Online through TechSoup. We would also like to use QBO for the preschool. Because the Church and the Preschool are on different fiscal years, I assume we need to add a 2nd "Company" to our account. Is there a way to do that and still get the TechSoup discount for the Preschool and the Church? How to I set that work? Thank you, -p

I try to get a refund for my quickbooks product that I canceled and I was still charged for and every time I try to submit a refund request I get the same error: "Oops, there was an error with submitting your refund request. Please resubmit the request."I tried in 3 consecutive days, on 2 different browsers, both normal and incognito window and same problem.Please let me know how to proceed with the refund. Thanks
I have created an invoice with an opeing balance. The customer has not paid this yet. It is time for invoices to go out again. Am I going to create another invoice with the past due and current fees? What do I do with old invoice?

We want to use Journal Entries to label bank transfers that occur between our multiple Quickbooks Online accounts. EX: $1,000 transferred from Business Checking Account A to Business Checking Account B. To clarify these are real separate bank accounts that are sister companies to each other. We often do transfers between the multiple checking and savings accounts.

I am having these issues since this up date. WHERE IS MY BOTTOM SCROLL BAR???When looking at a customer, the date is not there. I have to make it very small to see it. If I enlarge it to much, I can't see the EDIT/RECEIVE PAYMENT links. Why??? I need to be able to see them both. Also when I go to another customer, its the same thing, I have to enlarge the page. I need these fixed!
Hi,I exported my transactions CSV file from GoDaddy Bookkeeping and I'm trying to import this data to my QuickBooks Self-Employed account; however, I'm not able to match up all the columns with the options that QuickBooks provides. In the GoDaddy data there are columns for "Category" and "Payee" but I see that these are not column options for the import. I'm not going to be able to manually enter in the "Category" and "Payee" information for all my transactions; is there anyway to successfully import this data so it shows properly in QuickBooks? Thank you!
When I open quickbooks it opens one of our companies and works fine, but when I try to log out of the company to be able to open a different company, Quickbooks just closes. I've tried to go to file Open or Restore Company and the same thing happens. Also, have tried file Open previous company and can see the company I want to open but it crashes. Also, have tried the Quickbooks tool hub and that did not fix it.
Problem: when I try to change from one company profile to another the whole program shuts down without changing to my desired company profile.
Just off a support call with QBO payroll elite support concerning incorrect simple retirement calculations. Employees for one of my clients have medical and vision deducted. The Simple contributions are being multiplied by gross minus the medical & vision deductions. This is incorrect because simple deductions are always from gross compensation. The support rep, Dani, told me that this is due to the order in which the deductions were entered. So since medical and vision deductions were entered first, the system will deduct these before doing the Simple calculation. The fix, she said, was to remove all deductions and add Simple contribution first. When I asked for an escalation because this was not per IRS rules, she said this wasn't possible. Does anyone have any insight on this issue? When did this change? My company reconciles Simple accounts and this has not occurred in the past.
I need to disconnect our Bill.com app and reconnect it as it's not syncing currently. This is the direction Bill.com gave us. I'm the company's primary admin but when I go to the app it says that someone else set up the connection so I need to contact admin. ...but I am the admin. Can you help?
How do I ask for a 50% down payment on an estimate that has already been converted to in invoice?
Hi! I just upgraded from QB for Mac 2019 to 2023 and find that the suggestions when editing the Payee, Account, and Class fields in downloaded transactions have 2 different behaviors that seem to switch randomly. 1. The original way was "type ahead" where the suggestion was based on the letters being typed out and the suggested value was highlighted in blue. This was simple and useful.2. The new way is to fill the entire field with the suggestion, requiring me to backspace to the letter I want and add one more letter, then backspace, and type one more letter, and again and again until there are no suggestions (which may be after a few characters, or many characters. This is exceeding time-consuming and annoying. Any way I can turn off #2 and just stick with #1? Apologies if the has already been posted. I did not see it. If you can point me to the solution, I'll be on my way.Thanks in advance for any assistance.
