For the 2nd time in as many months the "Emailing Invoices" crashes QuickBooks Desktop. I uninstalled and reinstalled all possible programs then contacted Intuit. After a couple hours on the phone they acknowledge there is a problem but in 2 days they have not come up with an answer. THIS IS MISSION CRITICAL. I cannot function without it, but Intuit does not seem to have the same priority levels. When Sending an Invoice or simply checking the "Send Forms" preference, I receive the following error: Quickbooks- Unrecoverable Error and qbmapi64 "Out of memory"
I tried switching from QB Desktop to QB Online but it just didn't work for our company. It was missing some of the desktop functionalities such as being able to create customer invoices and switch to print customizable packing slips with item numbers but no pricing and include a customer ship to address. This feature is important to our business model and that is the main reason I had to switch back to QB Desktop. I have seen several posts in the past concerning this issue and I was wondering if this issue has been fixed? Thx!
For the past two weeks, when I search for a customer account via the email address of known customers, the search function will not produce the customer accounts that match the email address I am searching. I have cleared my cache and cookies twice and talked to QB Online support twice with no success. During the 2nd QB Online support chat, I was essentially told that nothing is wrong and if I want to find a customer via email address, I have to go to the customer contact list report and search that. Our regular email address search was functioning normally for close to a decade. I am using Google Chrome on a Windows computer that is fully updated.
I'd like to be able to add a percentage charge to an item list in QBO. The feature worked awesome in Desktop, but everything I've read in the forums and instructions I tried without success. I went to the gear icon:Then to listsProducts & services and then new, and serviceNamed the itemProvided the descriptionIn the Sale price/rate entered 5%, and assigned to the appropriate income accountSave & close Next step is on the actual invoice, I go to the Product/service pull down and locate my item.The item shows up wiht the correct numbers, and voila - it adds 5 cents to the invoice. (not what I intended) This is a critical piece for me that was available in desktop; we pass along a fuel surcharge when gas prices exceed $5.00 per gallon, and with this last attempt failing, I needed to manually calculate each invoice (over 200) to add the surcharge. (Desktop did the whole thing.) Any suggestions would be super apprecaited - Thanks!
Good afternoon,If someone can help me with a mess created with the inventory in QB Enterprise.We move from QB Premier Desktop to Enterprise a few weeks ago. My inventory in QB Premier was easy and perfect on the system before doing the transition to QB Enterprise.Now we have a mess with the inventory because, we have one quantity in All Sites and a different quantity in the Main Warehouse. How can I change the quantity so it can be the same on both?Thank you!Tomas
I purchased a new laptop and have successfully installed (from disk) Quickbooks 2000. I am trying to move 2 company files from old to new laptop. I have tried "utilities" "move QB to another computer". Everything copies to my USB. When I open the USB on new computer and click on "Move_QuickBooks.exe" nothing happens. I tried to backup the files and tried restore. It states the file is corrupt or not a correct file type. Same with just moving the .qbw files and trying to open. Any suggestions?

I repair equipment for customers, often times we repair this equipment 1-2 times a year as they are high use, wear and tear. Is there a way to track the serial numbers and warranties we give for each repair inside of Quick Books?An exampleI repair Machine "A" Serial Number 12348 months later, I get the a machine from the same client, and want to track the serial number 1234, to determine how often I am repairing, if its covered under my own 3 or 6 month warranty, and which parts are being used.Thanks!Josh
I've contacted support regarding this issue, but they couldn't solve it. My products, except two new one's I've added, won't show up in the "Products & Services" tab, so I can't edit them. I can still invoice the products, they still appear in reports, and QB says they already exist if I try to re-enter them. The customer service rep and I have tried checking the filters/categories, using different browsers/incognito, and exporting a list to excel. Nothing has fixed the issue. Has anyone else experienced this/Can you help? Thanks.
It doesn't matter which client I choose, i keep getting the same message, Tried talking with QB support and received no help.
In QB we are able to print out "Customer Information" why is it that we cannot have the report included with the customers first and/or last name included? (left out this one's last name for privacy reasons)
Has anyone experienced an error that is generic when trying to make a product or service inactive? I have talked to the support team on this issue 3 times and no one seems to have an answer. We have old product and services that were created but not used. There is no transaction history and no quantity on hand. When we try to change anything on them it gives a generic error that QB could not save. Same when trying to make it inactive. Nothing seems to work but it is causing operational issues to keep them visible. Thoughts? Advice? Thank you!!
I submitted a 1099 for a contractor and he alerted me that it was missing a payment. I need to add that payment, but do not know how to correct a submitted 1099.
This is our first year integrating our preschool's QB Intuit online with Procare solutions. We are encountering some tedious problems. All our revenue goes to "Services" In QB, not the individual programs and as such, we have to manually change the revenue account on each invoice each month - very tedious. Also, sometimes invoices in Procare do not carry over to Procare even when "sent" to customer- thus, revenue understated. Has anyone else encountered these issues, and if so, how did you resolve. When I contact Procare, they say to contact QB and vice versa.

Should I always use a change order to add to a proposal in which the client wants to extend the contract? What are the pros and cons of a change order vs. adding to the original estimate? I suspect most of the time the change would be an extension of the contract (aka more money), not a change in the work. Just more of it.
I tried a demo of QB Online a few months ago. Couldn't make the switch due to the Sales Order functionality. In QB desktop, sales orders are used to enter customer orders to build invoices for full or partial amounts (to show backorders) and also build purchase orders. The QB Online sales orders did not work like that when I tried it. It made no sense to me to have sales orders if they don't work how they should. Just wondering if the online version has been fixed yet? Or if it will be fixed? Thanks
What is the accounting entry for deemed capital contributions with no cash or property included? Our company has a university technology (patent) license agreement. The agreement includes an amount of equity. They are asking for a deemed capital contribution for their equity and are providing no cash or other assets. What is the accounting entry for this?
We send recurring invoices to customers using Square. We sync Square transactions in QB online. Most of the transactions come into QB just fine but occasionally a transaction will come into QB with the wrong date of the payment, sometimes by many months.We have talked with Square and QB about this and they each point the finger at the other.Has anyone else had this problem?
Quickbooks has long been the leader in accounting software and the system is very helpful and serves its purpose. However the customer service is so bad that I actually question how QB stays in business. I have never seen such lack of knowledge, respect, and resolution as I have since being a Quickbooks customer. They are not only rude and do not care but they never find a resolution. I wonder sometimes if they even know how to resolve or help with anything or have the knowledge to help any one. When it comes to my money as a business owner: I will definitely not continue to pay a software company to not only talk down to be and constantly be rude but also not be able to explain or help with resolution is needed. I would not trust this company to handle any portion of your money or accounting needs.
I just got added as a new user under a profile and it looks like my profile is stuck in the "accountant" view. I looked up how to switch to "business" view but I don't have that toggle switch under the gear settings icon. Has anyone had this issue before? I also don't have "tasks" in the list of widgets under my dashboard settings. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
