How do you hide payroll info in the search bar when users with no access to payroll can still search an employees name and there paycheck date and amount show in the search results.
Why is quickbooks using the date of an invoice or check for the accounting period?????? Why isn't it like other ERP's where the transaction date drives the accounting period. Because of this lack of functionality, the vendor ledgers are sloppy at best
Where is the phone number to report fraud. My online quickbooks was hacked & money removed from the bank account.
I am pretty sure this is easy to do, just don't know how to do it. I got paid for 6 invoices in one Bank Deposit. How do I accept the deposit and then apply the deposit to show that the deposit is for payment agains the 6 invoices. The company chose to pay in one lump sum for all the invoices. The bank deposit shows in the my banking section, but I have not added it as of yet. Waiting on further instruction before doing so. Version QBooks Online Thanks -GM

Quickbooks payroll ERRONEOUSLY, AUTOMATICALLY setup state taxes for an out of state employee......Virginia doesn't do that with North Carolina.....I have contacted support 6 times (phone,chat, twitter), spent more than 5 hours on hold/waiting for chat responses being told they are looking into it for the last 4 years!!!! I have asked for a supervisor dozens of times and been ignored. I have been told a supervisor will contact me and they NEVER do.....How do I escalate a problem past the horrible tier one support?
On the first day of each month, Quickbooks posts a $25 charge to my Amex Platinum card. The note/memo information for each charge says "AT&T DATA W2GO". However, Amex has no such record of a $25 charge, and I have no account with AT&T. I believe that Quickbooks is downloading a $25 charge, but that it is not an "AT&T" charge, and that the note/memo information is wrong. It is not billed to my Amex, and isn't an ATT charge. How do I figure out how to categorize this expense?

We found out that we can no longer import desktop data after 60 days from subscription date.So we cancelled our previous subscription and resubscribed after.Now we can't still import the desktop data. We tried deleting also the current company file and set up a new one but it said we cannot do it because our subscription is beyond 60 days.But we resubscribed already, isn't the subscription date should have restarted? How can we resolve this? We really need to import our desktop data through online migration tool.
I have to damage some items out of my inventory in Quickbooks Desktop and when I do I need them to make my Cost of Goods go up. For example, I understand that a damaged item is cost of goods and I want it to reflect that properly in reports. However, I don't know how to do this when I do an Inventory Adjustment. In Inventory Adjustement if I use an Expense Account as my adjusting account as it suggests how will that affect Cost of Goods and make it go up?

However, after purchasing QBO, I found that the AI assistant cannot pull relevant data from my account and provide answers. Is this feature still in beta testing, or is it only available to users in the United States?
Hi, I am unable to select which Chase account to connect with QuickBooks Desktop via Bank Feed. When I try to connect, all accounts (including those unrelated to the entity in QuickBooks) are checked and greyed out. As a result, I would have to connect all accounts to this entity in QuickBooks. how do I categorize my day labors? It won't let me under (independent) contractors because I don't have their emails.
I use EFTPS to file my 941 for FICA, SS, and Medicare each month but since I semi retired and don't do much work, I did not pay myself in January. However, IRS says I have to file monthly 941's even if there was no payroll. The problem is, it EFTPS does not accept a zero amount. So, what do I do and how do I do it?

My client has not connected his bank to QBO yet. I want to get started with his books by manually adding the transactions that I've downloaded from his bank. Will there be duplication issues if I manually add January transactions and later, in February, connect his bank to QBO? Just wondering if connecting the bank feed after I've already manually imported them might create duplication issues. Thanks!
How do i have the paystubs show up in workforce on the date of pay rather than on the date it is processed?
Hello,I have been managing our company's QB since 2004. I use Enterprise Solutions because of our vast amount of inventory. There is an issue that I do not think is correctable but am seeking advice nonetheless. When the fellow previous to me added in the inventory in 2000, he made several mistakes. We sell a lot of different pipe and fittings and have many classifications - not just Sales and COGS. For instance, we sell Schedule 40 pipe. It's income account is Schedule 40 Pipe, and it's COGS is COGS Schedule 40 Pipe. That way when my P&L breaks down I can see what my profit is per types of pipe, etc. Here lies the issue. He made several mistakes. In the above example, he made Schedule 40 Pipe as the income account, and a completely different COGS account i.e COGS Compression Fittings. If I try to "correct" this, it would change all of my reports from the beginning of time, correct? Which is WHY I have not d
Aside from the QuickBooks Online Payroll Elite subscription charge, there is a Payroll Elite Worker Charge for $10 a person. Why is that?
We received a duplicate payment from a customer in the prior year and want to refund it in the current year. We issued a check and want to apply it to the payment to clear it from their account, but QB is asking for the closed period password. What records are changed in the prior year that require the password? I want to assure our accountant that it won't affect financials. Will it?
