I sold part of my business in early 2023 and the buyer is paying me over time with monthly payments.I created an invoice to track the monthly interest charges and their payments. So each month, I change the date on the invoice and add the interest for the current month. However, when I look at my 2024 P&L report, the amount under Sales for this transaction looks to include all the payments since the start of 2023. I'm guessing I need to start a new invoice for each calendar year in order for just that year's revenue from the sale to be reported in my end of year P&L. Is my assumption correct? Hello,I installed the latest updates to Desktop Enterprise 23 two days ago, restarted the server, and now have several errors and issues. This is a Windows Server 2012. So basically when any company file is opened, even a sample one, a screen pops ups that says "Somethings not quite right." The Home page loads, and the company file seems to work, but certain functions like "Taking Payments" causes and "Unrecoverable Error" and QuickBooks crashes. I contacted support yesterday and worked on this for four hours to no avail. - QuickBooks Case# 151.173.012.99 We ran every kind of QuickTools Hub repair, did a full uninstall/reinstall, a clean uninstall/reinstall, I created a new Windows profile to test, we created new users, Reset Updates, I ran System File Checker and DISM, checked DNS and flushed/registered it, changed server, but nothing is working. I am seeing reports of this issue recently on these forums and reddit, so it feels like something broke with this update. The
Hi all, I'm the new controller for a company that is using Quickbooks Desktop. I'm going over the chart of accounts and they use many sub accounts. Is there any way that I can print some type of report that shows which parent account the sub account is a member of? The only way I see so far is to open each account card which is very time consuming. Thanks in advance.
About a month ago I received an email requesting I upload documents to verify one of my business accounts, I did not feel comfortable clicking the link and uploading sensitive documents (there was also no information about this in my actual quickbooks account) so I forwarded it to Intuit’s security asking if it was legitimate. I never received a response. Now I am suspended from my account. I have called twice and no one seems to know how to help, one person had me go back and upload the requested document, which I did, and said she was initiating a reinstatement email which never came. I called back the next day and spoke to someone who had me go in and also upload a copy of my ID and said then all I can do is wait and there is no guarantee they will grant me access back into my account. I need to get ahold of someone who can help me, who is in account verification, so I know what else I need to do. I need access to my accounts.
When entering a new bill in Quickbooks desktop, if the price was different than the last time it was ordered Quickbooks would automatically ask if you wanted to update the cost and the sale price. QBO doesn't do that, and so each time a price changes (which is obviously happening more and more often, I have to go into products and services and manually change it outside of the bill. This is frustrating and time consuming. Why is QBO missing so many of Desktop's best features?The search feature in Desktop was so much better, too. It was easy to find the last time you sold an item and how much you sold it for. Why does the search feature in QBO only work for certain things?Also, since switching to QBO I can no longer access my desktop file because I no longer have that subscription, so I can no longer see my own information and history from my company. I have used Quickbooks for YEARS, but my company decided to go to Quickbooks Desktop on the advice of a new CPA. I didn't like it at all, but the help desk suggested I switch to the desktop view since it would be more familiar to me. Which it is. However, I don't see how to enter a vendor credit using the desktop view. On desktop, you simply clicked a radio button in Enter Bills. It is very frustrating to have to switch just for entering credit memos.
For QBO Advanced, I need clarification on this: {Effective February 26, 2024, Intuit will limit the ability to restore company data to within one previous calendar year. Backups that are older than one year will not be retrievable by the company.} Specifically, I want to know, will data older than one previous calendar year be lost forever if I need to restore a backup?

Several times in the past week I've logged in as admin to QB Desktop Pro 2021, and I get the pop-up saying "You haven't logged in to your Intuit account for 89 days." It's annoying enough to have this useless message every 89 days (since there's absolutely no value in signing in), but at least stop presenting it every two or three days.

Has anyone experienced something strange where, while batch modifying classifications in QuickBooks, the customer name randomly changes to another customer's name? I've encountered this issue twice in the past few days—once with a customer and once with a vendor bill. At first, I wasn’t sure what was happening, but now that it has occurred a second time, I know for certain that I didn’t do anything else besides modifying the classification and location.
One of our users tried to upgrade to 2024 from 2023 a few days ago and got a message that there was not enough disk space to do the upgrade. The message "Insufficient storage for upgrade. to continue clear space in the drive where the current version is installed"That PC has 108 GB free disk space. The data files are on a server with 336 GB free space. What is the work around to get quickbooks to see the free space ?

I am using Online backup and restore. In the user section it prompts me to access either Google Drive or Dropbox. I have run through the process several times and the link is not created. How can I get this fixed? There are multiple QBO back ups on the Intuit system but I want a local backup as well.
Can I share one data file stored in the cloud to open and use from two computers? I use the Quickbooks Pro for Mac desktop version and have it installed on a work computer. I would like to install it on a second computer at home. Quickbooks would never be open simultaneously between the two. I would like to store and use the file within a folder located in my Microsoft One Drive account. This way I would not have a data file or backups stored locally and would not have to transfer back and forth.

I'm using EA-37 barcode scanner . It was working fine until 4 months ago when I had to update my quickbook Enterprice.Now when I creat Invoice and using my barcode scanner still working fine, until when I want to scan one item twice ,then on quantity instead of showin 2 it shows 9 digit number.As long as it is one quantity there is no problem. But if I scan one item twice it shows large number on quantity section.Do you know what is the problem?

See the attached for the popup that won't go away. I try to select maybe later which doesn't work. I open it to look at the info and then close it since I am not interested and it still doesn't go away. It blocks part of my screen and is very annoying. How do I make it go away permanently? I have a Chase credit card account that has two cards. One card (Monica) is the main card. The second card (Dennis) is an employee card. Quickbooks does not track these properly. I've done some research to try and figure out a solution but I need help. I wanted to just remove the main card since it isn't used but then I realized that Quickbooks is only pulling the bank balance from the main card. What is the proper way to handle this? Is there a way to properly handle both cards? I noticed that even though Monica's card isnt being used, it is using the bank balance and applying all payments to that card, even though the transactions appear on the employee card. I saw a video on youtube where it says I could create a new account in chart of accounts and then move both cards under that account. That made sense. However, I am unable to complete what was shown in the video becauase I get an error saying I cannot make the main card a sub account because it is already in the bank feed.
