We use Quickbooks for all of our accounting and sales purposes. Our process is: We create a Project in Quickbooks (This will allow us to track time for each project). Once created, we send the customer an estimate through Projects with a requested deposit of 50% (we click the "Request a Deposit" function and enter half the invoice total). 9 times out of 10 when the customer pays the deposit, it will show a double payment and show the invoice paid in full. It shows (2) payments each with a payment number. Why is this happening and how do i stop it? It is really messing up our books.

Hello, I am trying to run a Vendor detail report including bill pay ACH details. Currently, I do not see an option to add bill pay ach details to customized report.
Hi all, I am hoping someone can help me here. I am trying to build a report that shows what inventory we have to make for orders. We have products that have to be assembled before we can enter them into inventory for that order. Is there a report I can run that will show what products are missing on sales orders? I hope that makes sense.
Do we have an option to totally delete an unused account from the chart of accounts? I wanted to delete one my accounts from there but it only give me an option to make it inactive. No, I don't want to make it that way and makes it stays still in my QB. I want an option to delete.please help
Hi,I have a small single member LLC with an S tax filing status. I have deposited funds into the business account for years from my personal account but now I am concerned that I have not categorized them properly. How should these transaction be properly recorded in QB? Is the check register entry supposed to be me (as the funds are coming from me to the business) or the business itself as it is receiving the funds and I am the payor (sender) and the business is the payee (receiver).Sorry, this might be a stupid question but the more I try to figure this out the more confused I become!Mudtech61
Hi Everyone. I have the following issue:I have 2 sales receipts that need to be matched on the bank transactions. I have 2 bank transactions that fit those 2 sales receipts. However, when I click on the first bank transaction, it does not show me the sales receipt to match. When I click on the second bank transactions, it shows me both sales receipts. An hour with the live book keeping did not help, the transfer to the technical hotline ended up being hold on line for 50 minutes. Anyone any idea what the problem is? bestOzan

Hello everyone, in QB I can access an invoice list with the open balance per invoice as of today. I need a similar report, but with a specific date, for example, as of 12/31/2023. This report should show the outstanding balance per invoice as of 12/31/2023. Does anyone know if this is possible or how I can achieve this in another way?

"Something is not quite right. Unexpected server error. Please try again. I am having trouble importing our data into our books. I can import files using the Accountant view, but it does not work on Business View. It is unusual because it should both work. Can anyone help me with this?

Hello,I am looking for help understanding what I need to do to record the correct payment process to record in QuickBooks payment from contractor to pay for professional engineering fees. The contractor paid us directly via Zelle, and we paid the engineer via Zelle. I have created a client trust account, and I am unsure how to post the transaction. Presently it is booked as income and expensed under professional fees. I believe that I would need to create a current liability account.Please help me with the transactions I need to complete to correct on the GL. Thank you

We just switched from a sole proprietorship LLC to a S Corp. We now have to pay out wages and max out our SIMPLE IRA before the end of the year. I am not on payroll and just take member draws as my income. How can I pay my simple? Also, my wife is my employee, and we would like to max out her SIMPLE. Is there a place on payroll that is available for this?
As the title states, I have tried various methods of adding time and parts to invoices and it will not allow me to move items up or down the invoice via the normal click and drag method. This is preventing me from arranging the invoices and so I am unable to send out invoices today!I also am having trouble with the time sheets as well, I cannot change the week so I am only able to view this week. I really hate quickbooks there are constant issues with it and tech support sucks. If I didn't have so much time invested in it I would be switched already but I am looking into alternatives.Thanks all.
We've been receiving phone calls at least once a day from "Q-Books Help", per caller ID, with phone number 818-860-4035. From my google searches, this number is in fact one that QB uses as their help line. Also, they have been calling relatives of the business owner whose phone numbers are NOT associated with the business/corresponding QB account. The first few times they called, no voicemail was left. However, this most recent time, the voicemail left sounded like that of an Indian man named "Adam", he said. He stated that our "QB is not linking up with our intuit and that upgrades or updates are needed to prevent data loss/corruption and to call back to speak with Adam". Is this a scam?

Payroll>contractor. When a click is made on an individual contractor, there is the option to make them inactive. When I attempt this, I get an error message saying that it is not possible, but offers no solution.
I have Desktop Pro 2018. I have been trying for a year to upgrade. I have called, I have chatted with the rudest most unhelpful "consultant". No one will tell me how to upgrade. I do not know if my account is active. Everything is subscription now but I don't know if mine expired. I don't know how to find out. Why is this so confusing?Can someone just tell me how to check my subscription and how to update my desktop version. Do not tell me to do Online. I do not want it. Thank you.
