As usual, quickbooks instructions don't match reality. I don't have "permission" to upload a picture but here's what the instructions say: Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary admin.Go to Settings ⚙, then select Manage users.Select the Accountants or Accounting firms tab.Find the accountant you want to remove.From the Action column, select Delete.Select Delete. In reality, My "action" column in the accountant row is empty. How do I delete an old accountant? Thank you.
I retired 4 years ago and have two QB active personal accounts, my inactive business account and one inactive personal accounts. soon I'll have only my personal finance account and the archives of the other three accounts. I presently have an Enterprise 23 subscription account and a 2012 premier no subscription account. I'd like to cancel my subscription account, move the data to the 2012 premier account as I can no longer afford the subscription. Even as a 25 year customer, QB sales have not been helpful in finding me a solution. I would at least like to know where I can go to find a solution. Thanks in advance, John
Hello...we are a dropship company that has begun advertising on our customers' dotcom sites...as a vendor for our customers and as a marketplace seller on sites (WM, Target+, Amazon...).These advertising costs are paid via credit note deducted from the remittance.We are having trouble putting the Advertising cost in SG&A expense since it is paid via a credit memo against remittance for invoices due.Right now...we create credit memos for the cost of the advertising and reconcile these against the invoices being paid on a remittance, but this means the advertising cost shows up as a reduction of sale income and not in SG&A where I believe it should.The only thing I can think of to handle this is to continue doing what is describe above and add the step of creating a JE to move the advertising cost (the credit memo amount) from a revenue reduction account to an SG&A account.Is that an acceptable solution? Or, if not, is there another solution for this situation? Tha
Is there an option to clear time charged to a client other than by linking an invoice paid to that client? Particularly related to sales receipts.
QBO has slowed to a crawl the past week or so. Completely unusable today. At this moment I cannot even log out. Chrome, incognito, multiple log in and log outs, multiple bad reports (i.e., change the item on a transaction, takes about 15 minutes to show up properly on a report). Not sure whether this is just US customers or global.
I note that the UK version of QBO enables the printing of delivery notes. Where can I find the same on the American version?
Our company has a few dozen credit memos with the description "Created by QB Online to adjust balance for deletion." These were created during our in progress conversion to QB. These transactions only display on Statement of Activity when run accrual-based. Really not sure what purpose they are serving. Ok to delete these manually? Thank you .

Hi, I deleted an invoice that I created to a customer. It was a part of a check that needed to be billed to one of our other companies. I would usually go to the bill and uncheck the billed status, but with this paycheck there is no such column. How do I restore those billable time/costs? I use QB desktop enterprise.

We recently upgraded to QuickBooks Online Advanced, because we want to make use of the fixed asset module to automate depreciation. I have an employee who is assigned the "In-House Accountant" role, and she cannot access Fixed Assets. She can see the "Advanced Accounting" tab in the navigation pane, and she can see the Revenue Recognition sub-task, but Fixed Assets does not appear. When I make her a Company Admin, fixed assets appears, but she shouldn't need to be an Admin to access this module. The In-House Accountant role is supposed to have access to all accounting tools and reports. Is this a bug? Fixed Assets isn't even mentioned in the roles descriptions, so I'm not sure how to configure this.
Hi all! My organization uses a platform called Ramp to make credit card purchases, which integrates with QuickBooks Online. When our expenses from Ramp sync to QBO the details that map between Ramp and QBO map to the "Category details" section in QBO opposed to the "Item details" section in QBO. When we try to create an invoice (i.e. pledge) for that expense, the "Category details" do not pre-populate the fields on the invoice like the "Item details" would. If we try to enter in the product/service on the invoice the rest of the information is wiped out (like the amount for instance). We have discussed this issue with Ramp and they believe it is a limitation with the QBO API that the mapped fields can only flow to the "Category details" opposed to the "Item details". I am not personally familiar with the QBO API, but is there someone that confirm that this is a limitation that exists. Thanks!
How do I create a commission report including cogs in qb desktop? I have tried customizing some reports, but cogs never appears.
The payroll check info was entered correctly in QB, but then the check was written for the gross amount. It has been deposited by the employee and cleared my bank. How do I fix this?

I payroll check the have a payroll check that was supposed to be for $1657 but check was made out and cleared the bank for 1675. how do I correct this issue so the account can be reconciled. I thought a general journal entry would correct the issue but it didn't correct the issue
I want to provide my customer a statement of open items. I run an open item statement, but the information is meaningless to my customer without their PO number listed. How can I include the PO number on my statements? I can export all of the transactions to an excel form. but that is not very professional looking.

The minimum size of the Make Deposits is too large. Why can't I make it smaller? All other windows can be resized to be much smaller than the minimum size of the Make Deposits window. This is extremely frustrating.
Simple question I hope. We raise both sheep and cattle. I just bought some alfalfa hay that will mostly be fed to the sheep, but some may go the cows. I want to track the costs to each species. So, if I enter that hay into inventory, what type of item is it, inventory part or non-inventory part (or something else)? Then, as I feed it out how do I track it? TIA
This was easy to do in QBDT but I can't find that capability in QBO, not even in Spreadsheet Sync or Import Data. Am I missing it?
