When receiving a delivery error it is difficult to establish which email "bounced" if delivered to multiple email addresses. 2 invoices recently bounced and I forwarded them again from Outlook. The "bounce backs" were actually automatic replies confirming receipt so the delivery error is misleading. Is there a way to view the bounced email so we can establish if we actually do have an error or not. I have also found that if I amend the email address and send again it will send to everyone which is not ideal as client's complain they've received twice. If I just use the 1 corrected email address then it updates the customer record and therefore the next invoice the other addresses are not included. This needs to be improved to be more user friendly as it currently upsets our clients.
HiWe have purchased a van on hire purchase prior to becoming VAT registered, which is our understanding we can claim the vat back on despite it being before registration. There was no money exchanged for vehicle as our old van was used as a deposit. So I have entered the expense into quickbooks, with vat inclusive, but this has massively unbalanced the bank balance with quick books balanceHelp! New to this!
I've been using QBSE and moved to QBO. I've been using it a few weeks but now data has gone from the app. How can I get it back
I have a couple of clients that have asked for a PDF to be attached to the email they receive when I send the invoice to them! Does anyone know how to do this without having to download the invoice and send it in a separate email?
Hi, Hope it’s OK to post these on here. A few little things have cropped up for me lately so I thought I’d note them down to put them forward for ideas for future feature additions: --- The option to upload multiple documents to a transaction Use case: for one of my clients, I occasionally have to put jobs on separate invoices, but the client will then just make one payment covering both invoices. When that transaction appears in my list, I’m then only able to upload one invoice rather than both. The workaround here is a simple one mind you, of just merging the two invoices together on to one multi-page pdf and then uploading that to the transaction. --- Being able to send invoices to CC and BCC addresses rather than just using the ‘Additional email addresses’ box Use case: for one client, I need to send the invoice to the finance person but copy in the joint MDs, just so that there’s complete viability among everyone involved in terms of invoice
When importing a customer credit the CreditNoteNo field will not automaticly map,the CreditMemoDate and all the others do. What is the correct field name? I have tried CreditMemoNo & CreditNoteNo
Beginning to think it was a major mistake signing up to QB. The level of support has been awful. Several times now the chat team has said they would email me to follow up and did not. Also, when I replied to a request for an additional screenshot an email reply stated the case is closed. I have copied both chats and have the names of the staff involved should you wish to reopen the case. Blatant disregard for customers is very worrying indeed. This isn't the first time I have been treated this way.
The last five days all the computers in our office have the same issue with very slow loading Quickbooks online. We have cleared cookies, cache, etc. but to no prevail. It is taking 2-3 times longer to bill out and complete simple tasks.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
it might be to do with some currency transactions but nothing is owing and the money does not exist !
I've been using Self Employed QuickBooks for a while now. I started using the Invoicing feature about 12 months ago. You create an invoice and send the invoice. QuickBooks sends an email with the invoice to my customer. The problem is the email sent to customers by QuickBooks. If the email is opened on a desktop/laptop that uses Outlook 365 (desktop program), the email doesn't render properly and my customers are complaining they can't read and open the invoice properly. I've attached a screenshot showing some of the email. As you can see it doesn't look anything like it should do. The email looks fine in my Outlook using Chrome or on my iPhone. I use Outlook 365 on my PC and I can replicate the same problem. I've been in contact with support twice now. The first time they never got back to me and just closed the ticket. The second time I sent screenshots and the response from 'QuickBooks Self Employed Care Team' was appalling. This is their response: "Please be inf
Hello - I am hoping to draw on the collective QBO knowledge on inventory values We use inventory on QBO and have an issue where we have nil items in stock but the stock asset valuation report is showing a value. We have one item with none in stock but the value is listed at -£71.09, and another with none in stock but the value is listed at +£650. Obviously with nil stock the value should be nil also. I cant change the opening stock value as this would be incorrect, it is historic, it is not an opening stock value problem and I need to adjust as of 31Dec20. I cant journal the adjustment so it affects the actual stock item (I can journal to move the value from the stock to COGS so the stock account shows the "correct" value omitting the incorrect ones BUT this does not change the actual stock item value). I have spent 2 hours to QBO support and all they could suggest was the opening value adjustment or the journal, neither of which actually addresses the is
The companies were bought out by the same parent. I receive invoices from the original companies, but payment is made to the parent and I have the same customer account number with both.
Hello, I am trying to match two bank payments to one invoice. Before I started doing this I already said the client had paid so the invoice is now paid and closed. When I try to match the two bank transactions to a invoice, the right invoice doesn’t appear to be in the list? I’ve change the date and put in the clients name but it still doesn’t come up for a match. Help!
I have had to undo the Sept bank feed, i have matched the payments/receipts, but it wont let me add the subcontractor payments as it states that the cis has been filed.
I've been asked to take part in a paid-for survey on Zoom to show how I use QB. It looks ok but I'm just asking the community if anyone else has done this. There is screen-sharing involved so of course I am just being careful in case it's a scam of some sort. Many thanks for any advice.
Ive tried refreshing and relining bank account
