I'm looking for a way to export a back order report by item to send to customers showing fulfillable quantities (partial or full). I'm achieving this now by running a standard "Opens Sales Order by Item" report, then filtering out by customer. But I'm having to manually check on hand stock status for each item then add the to the exported excel file. Just looking for a more streamlined way of doing this.
Hi folks - anyone else noticing that the Cash flow forecast (beta) doesn't pick up payroll? It picks up everything else nicely just don't understand why it doesn't pick up this obvious expense which is hitting our bank account twice per month. Gusto is our payroll provider if that matters. Right now I'm adding it manually as a recurring transaction twice per month but this seems like a very strange glitch.

Please bring back the old user interface. This one has bugs all over it. Example when attaching files and going back to look at them the iPad application crashes, QuickBooks should test before releasing this bad update
My company buys parts to complete repairs on vehicles, but sometimes we buy extra parts that we do not need, so we decide to return them. How do I record a refund from a vendor? Is it recorded the same even if the original purchase was made from a check or debit card?
How do I pay contractors or consultants in Projects? Does this affect QBO payroll? Does this affect year end 1099s?
Hi,I have read that most likely 2 users cannot work on the same QB file at the same time. If QB desktop is on both computers with the same company file, is it possible to sync the changes made on each computer? My issue is that I am hiring someone to help enter a large amount of bills, invoices, etc. But if we both need to do our share at the same time, how can you make that work?Thank you,Damien
Has anyone used Sports Engine HQ and integrated with Quickbooks. It doesn't show up in Apps, and the transactions are backwards on the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss. Sales transactions are showing up as a debit to sales and a credit to cash instead of the other way around. Help!!
I've read that in QBO Canada version, there is a way to import journal entries (Import Data then Upload csv file of the journal entry). This feature is really convenient to users who use journal entry to accrue expenses at month-end. Why is this feature not available in the US version? You'd have to get an importer app that's from a third-party to be able to import JEs. That's another $$ to spend.
Hi, I've been trying to figure out why the retained earnings amount on the balance sheet differs between Quickbooks desktop and Quickbooks online after migrating. The report is for the same period (i.e. 01/01/2022 to 12/31/2022).From the Quickbooks desktop report the Retained Earnings amount in $55,590.07 and from Quickbooks online it is $77,747.74. Where did the over 22K difference come from? Thanks.
I use tags for all of my expenses. When it is time to pay a credit card I run a transaction list by tag report for that card and select group by: "tag group name". This has been working since tags were introduced to QBO. Today when I ran a report all of the tags were in one group. I tried different accounts, alll of which have worked as expected up until now, and none of them are doing what I need any more. Has something been changed? Is there a fix?
how to backdate inventory tracking
The payment was voided because another vendor recently became the payee and the check payment was made to the former vendor. On the bank account for review, QBO shows an amount spent for the voided payment and an amount received for the refund from Bill.com. How is this adjusted in QBO? There is also an outstanding expense for the payment to the new vendor. Because the amount was reimbursed already from the subsidiary company to the parent company, how does QBO record the credit from Bill.com against the expense to the new vendor, so that the invoice amount owed is zero?
Some customers have edited the payment total on the invoice to add money instead of using the tipping option at the bottom. This has resulted in annoying things like my QB showing a negative amount due to the credits. Would love to turn it off but QB phone support is a joke.
Hi, I just signed up for a continuing studies course to learn and develop skills. I thought it would be simple to figure out how to account for this on QBO, but I can't seem to find how to input this into a category. Could I get help on where/how I can account for such an expense? Thank you.
When you create a budget in Quickbooks desktop, will it notify you if you are going over budget? I want to be alerted that we are job costing more expenses to a job than what was budgeted. We are a general contractor and pull reports frequently, but sometimes we don't notice we're over-budget until the end.
Hi all, How can I download a P&L as an Excel spreadsheet with Quickbooks Self-Employed? I'm only able to download it as a PDF.
