We are moving from Workamajig to Quickbooks are at day 1 of the transition (so we don't know a lot :). We need the ability to have QB auto-assign a project number to each new project...is there a way to do this? Ideally, the number would be unique to each client/customer, but if that's not possible it could just be a running number for all new projects. Example: if I create a new project, it automatically assigns the next available # to this project (so it would be project 1 - then the name I give it). When I create another new project, that would be project 2 - [project name I give it]). Please advise if there is any functionality to auto-assign the next number so each project has one! (We do projects that are very similar, and up to 1,000 a year so just relying on the project name isn't a great option...) Thanks!
My manager has been trying to log into Quickbooks for 3 weeks and every attempt with the support group has been unheard or ignored. The problem she is facing is that everytime she tries to login to her account the "let's verify it is you" is blank. There are no options available to verify her account and has been hung up twice in a support chat. She literally just wants to view her material and cannot because customer support has been controversial. Looking forward to anybody willing to answer.
I was able to change it in general settings for Intuit but not in my Quickbooks online account. Legal name change due to marriage.
When I finish creating a customer invoice and need to create a PDF, QBE Enterprise 23, running Windows 11, defaults to "print to email" and I have to consistently uncheck it. Is there a way to change that default print option? Thanks for any insight on this.
Was converting PO to invoice and added several PO to same invoice and system came back with "invalid id" have never received this message before and nothing in red to correct. What is wrong with programThanks Jim
I'm still a little confused about Quickbooks subscriptions. What happens to my Quickbooks Accountant Desktop program (2023) when my subscription renews with the September release of 2024? It seems Intuit is purposely vague when looking up any information regarding the subscription or pricing.
I signed up for QuickBooks Online 5 user. I received an email directing me to create an account. I did so. I then received an email asking me to check back to see if my product had been added to Products and Billing. That was Monday. Now, on Wednesday I feel they have had ample time to assign my product. I am in a loop where I ask for support and am told I don't have any products or company. I don't have a company because I haven't been assigned a product. I can't get anywhere with support because I don't have a product. I did pay for the product. And I can not post this because I clicked post, only once and I am told I am flooding posts.
What an absolute disaster this app is. Are you trying to give us a stroke? So now I have one (description)line to input all of my job numbers into?!?. and hilariously, no functional return button. (Get used to hitting the space button 50 times if you want to add one line of space!?!). Then….!!!! When I go to input my job numbers in.. I get an odd URL/error. So I guess the description line is now limited in the amount of characters you can add.. What a complete disaster of an app., THIS MOBILE UPDATE IS A DISASTER AND USERS SHOULD BE GIVEN THE OPTION TO ROLL BACK THEIR VERSION TO PREVIOUS BEFORE THIS NIGHTMARE BETA TESTING GARBAGE WAS UNLEASHED.

The book keeper before me had created the same customer in the system for each division. I am finally getting around to merge these and found out I cannot merge an account with jobs, but I was hoping to merge the jobs as well as the customer. Any ideas on how I can accomplish this- if it is possible? I thought I could change the parent customer on the jobs and it really does not like that either because the payments are tied to original parent. Thanks for any help you can provide.
I'm trying to update my quickbooks and I keep getting this error message and can't get past it. I've cleared my cache so what else can I do now.
HI, my old Imac crashed and I was able to get my files, including company QB files, saved to an external hard drive.I downloaded a version of QB 2019 For Mac on a new computer, but I cannot get QB to open my company files. I have then in a folder on the desktop, when I go to QB/file/opencompany/browse I can locate the folder of back up files I've migrated over from the hard drive, but the files are grayed out. How can I get QB on the new computer to open import and open my files? Thanks:-)

After adding a new hourly employee, I also add a new user for time-tracking only, see image.When the same hourly employee is longer with the company, what is the best practice on managing the corresponding time-tracking user. It is good policy to delete the time-tracking user? If retaining, is there a recommended duration per federal / state laws?
