Employees and payroll

When exporting reports from QB Enterprise 23.0 to Excel you typically have to click "Enable Content" to get macros enabled then the report loads. The issue we identified today is that certain reports are tied to certificates that expired in April of 2023 and as such the macros cannot be enabled. Intuit is aware and are currently researching. We've seen this on multiple reports, not all, but one of them specifically is exported by going to REPORTS > EMPLOYEES AND PAYROLL > MORE PAYROLL REPORTS IN EXCEL > DEFERRED COMPENSATION REPORT (FOR 401(K) & MORE). Instead of seeing an option for "Enable Content" it only says "Options" and when you click on that you see that the Intuit certificate in question expired on 4/16/23.
I am trying to write a net bonus check for $8000 to an employee. When I enter $8000 as net, Quickbooks changes the net pay to $7800. This is only occurring for 1 employee.
Is there a way to pay owner draws through QBO payroll like a reimbursement that it won’t generate a w2? How do we set this up?
Their pay stubs show only regular hours worked even though they worked over 80 hours, and when I multiply hours by rate I can see they're not receiving overtime.
Hello I would like to make a one off "back payment" to myself via payroll. For 4 months, I wasn't paying myself a salary, but now I am in a position to do this. I have set myself up a monthly salary with no problem, but I can't seem to do a one off payment. To ensure it goes through the books correctly, I want to use payroll and select a one off payment for the amount (separate from my normal monthly salary). How do I do this as there doesn't seem to be an option.
I recently migrated from QB Desktop to QB Online. Under Payroll, I see several states in which I do not have any active employees (past, released and deactivated employees worked in those states in previous years). Under Taxes, I see that QB is automatically filing for me tax returns in those spurious states. This happens although automatic filing and payments are disabled. I spent 8 hours on the phone with 4 different QB support representatives, but they don't know how to disable and remove the spurious states, nor how to stop the spurious filing of tax returns in those states. Can anyone help?
We added some codes that are not in our accounting system so we need to unapprove and unlock our current payroll in order to remove the coded days for several employees. How do we unapprove and unlock an approved payroll with errors?
There was no article provided that would assist with my question.
I simply added a check number, now it will not close and keeps popping up when I log-on
We are a construction company with a few different crews working on different projects. Currently the foreman of each project keeps track of everyone's time. We have one foreman who keeps track on a piece of paper so we manually have to repeatedly enter the same days and hours for 3 different employees. Is there anyway to enter Employee A's hours and then create a copy of it for Employee B & C? The schedule feature doesn't seem like it would apply since their schedule and job can vary from week to week unless there is a better way to use it that I'm not aware of.
QBO cannot document filing and remitting Oklahoma Employment Commission payroll taxes.

Im getting this message for my payroll. not sure what to do Banks are closed on Saturday, Sep 30, so employees paid by direct deposit will get paid on Friday, Sep 29.the pay date is in a filing period for which you have already filed a form. If you are sure you want to use this pay date, you will need to file corrected returns in order to reflect all payrolls in the filing period.
I check mileage but then realize it hasn't been recording trips for several days or even weeks.
I had three new employees this pay period. When I was accepting bank transactions this morning, I noticed that their checks didn't come through as a "match" like all the others. Although their paychecks are showing in pay history, there are no expense/liability entries for their checks?
We have an employee set up who is receiving direct deposits to 2 bank accounts. It worked well until now. What happened?Employee requested and we updated one of the accounts. Then we ran payroll. Employee reported to have received the whole amount to just one account. The updated account was ignored.Any ideas? P.S. we noticed the bank name did not update. the routing number points to Capital One Bank
I have an employee who did not put in his PTO for a sick day the previous week. I am trying to put it in for 9/18, but it will not allow me to. When I go in to put it in myself, it shows that particular day greyed out. Why would this happen? Is there a permission missing?
Hello Community...I am looking for HR support and was wondering if anyone had a suggestion. It seems this is available from an Intuit partner with QBO but I haven't found anything for Desktop users. Any help would be appreciated. Specifically, I am needing help with employee handbooks, on-boarding, keeping up with current laws, etc...
I currently have a customer who has to withdrawal cash from their bank in order to cover daily tips for their employees. What should I be coding these transactions as?
I'll be on vacation the week that I should submit the direct deposit payroll. Can I submit it early? For example, my vacation is the week of 10/2 with Payroll needing to be submitted on 10/6 for our 10/10 payroll. If I submit it on 9/29, will it go ahead and send the checks on 10/3 or will it hold them until the actual pay date I'll have on the checks of 10/10?
When we run payroll we have to go into each check and enter in payroll deductions and save them. These deductions are things like meals etc that can change each week. Is there an easier way to do this that we might be overlooking? Thanks
My settings are correct. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
My Payroll expenses are doubled on my P&L because it automatically adds the Gross pay (this is not a legal paystub) and I manually add the Net pay as an expense. How do I stop this automatic addition of the Gross Pay, I don't want this on my Profit and Loss.
