Just need clear instructions who qualifies, how to claim, and ramifications of filing for credit.
Trying to set up New Employee. I go to Payroll, Employees, Add Employee. This automatically takes me to "Set up your New Team Member" I type info in and it does nothing. Bottom of the same page asks to set up Employee in Workforce and it will not allow me to do anything. I want to set up Employee myself. this Team Member page only has an X in right hand corner and that just deletes it. i am at a standstill and cannot get anywhere. i am not able to enter any info or sign up a new employee. PLEASE HELP!
Hello,We are 3 individual owners of S-corporations and we came together and all own 1/3 of an LLC. Our LLC just hired it's first employee, hooray! We are using Quickbooks Payroll for this employee. We are working now on setting up benefits (health, dental, 401k). I would like to know the recommended setup for payroll and benefits. I would prefer to use Quickbooks Payroll if possible. Right now, us 3 individual owners are getting money transferred from the LLC to our S-Corporation every month. The S-Corporation runs payroll on it's own (I have an excel spreadsheet to keep track). We are paying for our own health insurance. Would it be possible to add the 3 S-Corporation Owners as "employees" and administer benefits through Quickbooks Payroll? Any help on this matter is much appreciated!Thank you
I work for a non profit, and we bill numerous grants. We track the grants by classes. I need to be able to bill up to 4 classes per employee. Has anyone found a work around?
I had a paystub duplicate even though I had entered the employees hours under enter timesheets. It took 40 hours of vacation from him even though I didn't enter it for that pay period. The reports are not reflecting that he used vacation. The reports are showing the time that I entered on his time sheets. Why would this happen?
My payroll is blocked and I can't process checks.

Is there a way to send a new hire packet to new team members through Quickbooks? Ex. when I hire a new team member, send them my team member policies guide.
It will take weeks to get a verification letter from the IRS for my EIN number. The IRS will not issue a copy of the EIN Assignment letter that qbo requests. So qbo is just going to close my account on Oct 10th?????!!!! Or is this just a scam?
Hello We recentley had to resore desktop and when we restored the last payroll run was not part of the time we restored (we restored desktop to a couple days before our last payroll run). So is there a way to re upload the last payroll run for that week so our quickbooks matches what assisted payroll has for taxes , year to date etc.? Thank you
I need to change the bank account that I make repayments from for my Get Paid Upfront invoices. When I access the settings tab in Quickbooks Online I am able to add new accounts under the "Payments" tab but they do not show under my "make a payment" tab in my Get Paid Upfront tab.
New employee only has a cash app account. Has an ABA and account number. Will the payroll via quickbooks as a direct deposit work ? Do I choose checking account ?

Hello, we use QB Online Payroll and QB Online Timesheets. The two programs didn't seem to have been developed at the same time, and only later did the devs try to merge these two platforms, making for a bad experience. My employees receive the following: VacationSickFloating HolidaysUnpaid Time Off I cannot add a custom PTO name on QBO payroll. QB online time sheets do not sync back to QB Online Payroll in terms of custom names. Right now, I have "Paid Time Off" at 16 hours at the start of each year because each employee gets two floating holidays, but the employees are always confusing their vacation time with paid time off, and I want to change the Paid Time Off name to Floating Holidays. Please advise.
We use a 3rd party payroll service and recent updates to QBO seem to have eliminated the ability to add a pay rate to an employee's record. All employees who had a pay rate entered no longer shows that information on their profile. Please advise.
Hi, I am trying to setup employee's payroll and am entering historical amounts from a spreadsheet where payroll was tracked previously (for 2022). I get the error: "Error message: The amounts you entered may be incorrect. Social Security and Medicare taxes (FICA) are expected to be percentages of an employee's taxable earnings.
