Employees and payroll

As part of the payroll subscription my understanding is that there should be an existing link between Quickbooks and The Work Number for employment and earnings verifications (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/identity-verification/get-answers-questions-work-number-r-equifax/L6BtXyNGd_US_en_US) However, even though mine does show that it's ON in the Sharing options in Payroll settings, The Work Number has no data on the company and is unable to verify employment. I called payroll support and nobody even knew what the work number was but it's clearly a feature as it's visible in Payroll settings.
I was able to view my (accepted) Q3 filing. Where can I find the Q-4 filing that was rejected so I can determine what the problem is. It isn't in archived or current.

If I'm categorizing a salary that is paid via Gusto Payroll, is "Gusto" the payee or is the employee I'm paying?
One of my employees reported tips to me incorrectly (total tips vs their allocation) in 2021. Am I correct in thinking that this is a big mess?! They paid taxes on a much larger amount than necessary. I figure I need to do the following to correct:Issue new: W2c, W3c, 941x, and 940x. Am I missing something or is there another way to correct it?
Hello.I hired a young man who didn't last very long and left on bad terms. I was never able to get him to complete his W-4 and I did not withhold anything on the few paychecks I gave him. How do I report his income now?I wouldn't think a 1099 would work. Is it possible to file a W-2 for someone when you did not receive a W-4?
employee is son of current employee and has the exact same name and wont allow entry need to delete and start over
We have an employee that needs access to job profitability. Is there a way they can have access to it without being able to view employee info, check amounts, profiles, etc? She needs to be able to view who was on a job but we do not want her having access to any employee files. Is this possible?
I have had to change the name of my qb workbook after I created and filed W2 and other tax forms. Now, there are no "Saved Filings" Where are the previously named workbook's saved filings (name of file) and can I copy those to the current workbook? ThanksQBDT 2019 Premier
Direct Deposit went through for all employees except for 1. Checked the employees routing and account number to make sure they were correct and they were. Every time I try to send it to off and pops back up again and will not send. Not sure what the problem is.
My business do not need to pay UI tax but I cannot finish setting up my payroll without the UI ID
So it was recently pointed out by one of our employees that their sick time had gone down and they had not used any. Upon further investigation, we found that between the payroll periods of 11/15/2021 and 11/26/2021 most of the employees sick time went down between .9 and 7.21 hours with not one of them being paid sick time. Must be a glitch in one of the updates or ......? Has anyone else experienced that?
I have a simple payroll, no deductions or 401k. W2 Box 1 is not matching 16.. Some W2"s did not even print State Info.. Just a few of the 35 employees.
We just upgraded an in-house QuickBooks Desktop Payroll client from 2021 to 2022 and discovered that several employees' payroll items were inexplicably reordered and had the rates changed. Here is a screen shot of one employee's most recent paystub before the upgrade, and another screen shot of the same employee's setup. WHY, WHY, WHY does stuff like this have to happen? There is no reason for an upgrade to make random changes like this in a payroll file. To make matters worse, some employees were changed and some weren't. All of the employees have the same exact payroll items, but the ones who were changes were not changed in the same way. If there were a pattern, we might be able to determine what the problem is, but there's no discernible pattern to this, whatsoever. Beware of this potential problem when you upgrade. INTUIT, please figure this out and give us a fix before we upgrade other clients. By the way, this client has 95 employees to change - time, effort and money that we ar
I have completed my one check payroll. Now I need to export that transaction to my desktop Quickbooks. Where is the link? On what page or report?
Only happening with employees created in 2022. I have double checked that the W4 is correct.
This is for a school project and i can not continue without single time activity in the drop down menu...iv tried several "fix" it forums and step by step guides.
I'm probably overthinking this one — an employee has donated to the nonprofit that she works for via payroll deduction. Each payroll period there will be a deduction for the same amount — donated to the organization that is paying her. What is the journal entry to record this?
I switched back from using QB Online back to the desktop version but learned (or was told) that I can't bring the payroll and payroll taxes transactions, or any transactions, done in the online version back into the desktop version. I have been passed around through their customer service people all day on this and still no answer. I can download the transactions into Excel files and just need to know if there is a way in import, or by some other means, bring them into the desktop version? I'm trying to avoid having to manually post all of the transactions. Thanks
Evening, This is the first time I've used QB Online, used Desktop for 25 yrs. I'm trying to print 1099's and it looks like Online version wants me to e-file and pay for each one. WHY can't I just print like always? Is there a way to print the forms I've already bought?
Is there a way to select or deselect pay stubs that go to Workforce when sending payroll via direct deposit?I issued some paper bonus checks so they could be handed out instead of our normal direct deposit. We wanted to keep the bonuses quiet until employees met with the boss. However, the next time payroll was run, all the pay stubs were uploaded to Workforce and everyone became immediately aware of their bonus. Is there a way to submit direct deposit without sending all the pay stubs?
When hovering over Direct Deposit Off on the contractors detail page under bank account, a pop up states that I first need to manually enter direct deposit info or email them a link to safely enter their own info.
