For payroll, I need to enter an amount paid to an owner for health insurance. The amount should be included on the shareholder’s W-2 strictly for income tax withholding tax purposes; those additional wages are not subject to FICA taxes (Social Security and Medicare taxes) or Federal Unemployment Tax Act (FUTA).] How do I do this?
I use Quickbooks Desktop Payroll. I entered payroll information for the final paycheck of the year (12/31/2021) but the employee YTD amounts were not correct. The YTD payroll amounts were correct, but YTD payroll taxes did not reflect taxes paid in prior periods. Therefore, the final paycheck was showing Social Security taxes even though the maximum had been met in a prior pay period. Is anyone else having this issue?
Can you process one payroll with QBO with 2 period end dates? For example for some employees, the Jan 30th paycheck will be for the period ending Jan 16 - Jan 30 (salaried staff) and others for work done between Jan 1-16 (hourly staff). Just want to do one payroll run.

We switched to private insurance for this. Since it is no longer an 'other tax' item but a deduction, how do we get it to show up on our W2s
This person has two dependents and is head of household. They selected that on the new W-4 that was put out in 2020 and now owes the IRS. This employee even got a big raise and still QB didn't deduct anything. Why is this happening and how do we get this changed so they get a refund?

Yesterday an overdue payroll liability from 2020 showed up in payroll liabilities . This was paid through the payroll liabilities at the time of the payroll and has not displayed in the liability screen until yesterday. What would cause this to happen and how do I get rid of it? Thanks,
Hello, I couldn't find a thread close to my question, so I'm posting my own. On 12/31/21 I was informed that one of our employees is going to receive a profit sharing check. I know this has to be processed via the payroll, but have no idea how to even go about doing it from A-Z... To be clear, this has nothing to do with a 401K, just a check at the end of the year for profit sharing. If someone can please help ASAP, I'd appreciate it, as our accountant needs a copy to file end of year tax forms. Thank you in advance!

I just discovered there weren't any taxes withheld on a direct deposit check I issued on Dec.15 of last year (2021). I have no idea what happened, but now I don't know how to fix that problem. I only caught it because I printed off the 941 for the quarter and it showed we owed extra taxes so I had to do some research. The check prior to that one, and the one I issued on Jan. 1, were fine. I would sure appreciate any help you could give me!
