I cannot select employee to run payroll for this month. Pay calendar says I can run from next month. I adjusted pay calendar to this month but still cannot select employee to run payroll.
Hey, I am a new user and would like to handwrite my checks (bank checks) for my employees. What steps must I take to ensure that Quickbooks has everything on file. Do I use the option paper check and give the handwritten check to my employee.
Can't edit paycheck. QBO says taxes have already been paid but the payroll is dated 4 days from now and I know that is not the case. I called in and it took 46 minutes to get the original check deleted so I could create a new one. The rep said it was because the payroll is set up for direct deposit. I know for a fact that this is not true because I have edited payrolls in the past up unntil late the day before. I had a similar problem last year with a different client and it did not clear up until the ne year. So for about 4 months I had to call in if there were changes. When I said I wanted the issue cleared up so there would be no problems going forwad the rep stated that I should go through the feedback link in QBO. Also no survey to see how they rank
I have several employees who are paid on different schedules for different work - monthly and biweekly. Monthly payroll is the first Wednesday of the month, biweekly payroll is also on a Wednesday. For example, on 10/6/21 the two payroll schedules coincided. It would be great to be able to issue one check but I've been told that is impossible. I'm told I need to process separately - so, I process the biweekly payroll where the employee is paid a salary and includes any deductions for health insurance or 401K. I then have to change the employment details - the pay schedule changes to monthly, the pay type changes to hourly, and deductions need to be removed. The employee gets two checks and I have to remember to change his details back to biweekly for the next payroll. I can't believe there isn't a better solution. Please help.
We would like to guarantee one of our employees 40 hours per week. We allocate all the hours worked to customers. If he works fewer than 40 hours in a specific week, how would I enter the guaranteed hours in QuickBooks to get him to 40?
Example the Federal Withholding I am currently using Quickbooks manually payroll in the Caribbean on Premier Edition 2020. Can we remove this off the paystub we are not in the US?
The information I found on owners draw gave step by step instructions but it did not say which version of QB I need. My business is very small

Our company pays for employee gym membership, but we do it directly with the gym so the membership shows up in our bank statements and in Quickbooks. I understand that this is a fringe benefit for employees but the only solution that I have found in the forums is to add it to the employees payroll. How do I categorize if the company pays for the benefit directly with the gym?

I have an employee who passed away unexpectedly. I have to refund 3 insurance premiums to his family. When I write the check, what account would I put the check under? If I put it under Employee Insurance: Colonial Life, it throws off my Balance Sheet. I'm not sure how to account for the $77.62. Any help is appreciated!Thank you all so much!!Teri
I am trying to print and file Form 941 for 2nd Quarter of 2021 and get the error message below:Form 941: Employer Identification Number- Form 941 is a draft form and is not to be filed with the IRS. Final form will be available in a later release When is this later release available? What do I do in the meantime? Is anyone else having this issue and know what I need to do?
