Employees and payroll

Hello QB Community! I am having an intermittent issue when running payroll with QB. We are on QuickBooks Premier Plus Professional Services Edition 2022 for Desktop. The issue comes up (3 times this year) where I pay our federal and state taxes through Quickbooks (i.e. filing and making payments through the system - no paper checks or logging in to the tax sites to make payments). After I have submitted the payment, which shows in the register as coming out of the checking account, the Liabilities are still showing as due to be paid. The only work around I have found is making a Payroll Liability Adjustment, but then my P&L Reports are showing a negative amount on the Payroll 941 Expense line. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I used automatic payroll in september. How do I print those checks
I was forced to update to a new version of QuickBooks this past spring. I picked the enterprise suite version due to not having reliable internet for the online version. Another reason for picking the enterprise version was that it stated that the Enhanced Payroll for QuickBooks Enterprise Bundle Enhanced was included in the purchase. This past week my yearly subscription I had purchased last year had ended. When I go run payroll it now states that certain features of QuickBooks payroll, such as automatic calculation of taxes, have been temporarily disabled. Please help, am I missing something? Do I need to keep paying a yearly payroll subscription to the ridiculous amount that I have paid already for this enterprise suite?
unable to withdraw funds
My company is opened in Illinois and I am only one employee there. My home address is Alabama, I live there, but don't earn any income in Alabama. Also, I don't work remotely. QB insisted to open a Withholding tax account and UI account in Alabama and took $ 12 /month fee for multistate. And now is time for quarterly reports and Alabama Departments don't accept reports with Zero. I called and wrote in Alabama departments and they answered: If I don't earn income in Alabama they have to close all accounts, and they did it. Why does QB have such requirements? Are any official resources about Withholding and UI taxes in both states, where an employee lives, and where he/she works? Thank you
The account is currently set up for automated taxes.

Im doing a clean up for a client. They have a checking account they closed. Its no longer connected to bank feed but has tons of transactions Im having to go through and clean up. They have many payroll transactions that were posted to this old checking that did not clear because the account was closed when the payroll was run I assume. The transactions also posted to the new checking account and did clear through that account because it was the correct account. I cannot delete these payroll transactions from the account, How am I supposed to fix this? add up every single bad payroll transaction and use a journal entry? Attached is photo of my problem
Hi,We have QBO Advanced with Payroll Elite for our small nonprofit. Intuit submits our Michigan Quarterly Withholding return (5080) automatically. However, I also have a modest amount of Michigan Sales Tax that I need to add to that form (the form is Sales, Use, and Withholding). I can generate a PDF of what Intuit is submitting on our behalf (Withholding), but can't access the form to add Sales Tax as well. Is there a way to edit this tax return, or should I just submit a second one manually to the state of Michigan? That's easy enough to do. Thanks!
I was handling payroll for my mother's caretakers in the year 2022. She passed away in December 2022, and filed her last tax return in 2023. I recently received a letter from the California Employment Development Department, a form 6694, called a Notice of Form Delinquency. They want information from the last quarter of her payroll. so I went back to my QB account to retrieve it. When logging into the QB account, the data was missing going back to September 2021. I need all the data after that and through 2022. I expected this data, which was from this period to be available to me. How can I get access to this data so I can fulfill the request from CA? Also, as a side note, I am not seeing a full list of the employees I pad through the account.
Why is my milage not being logged.
Hello, we recently transferred our data from QuickBooks Desktop 2021 to Online, and some of our employee information has not transferred over correctly. Only a few employees are listed under the employee list / org chart, but more than half are missing. However, when we view old paychecks under past transactions, the missing employee names appear as employees in those transactions. If we try to set up one of those employees again, their social security number reads already used as they are sort of set up in the system somewhere. We tried migrating our data over again but had the same result, with most of our employees not appearing. Is there a place some employees could be hidden? We are actively viewing all employees but still cannot find where the others are, despite them still being recognized in past transactions as employees and unable to set them up again due to duplicate information. Thanks!
I paid a third party that intuit has partnered with and I ams still unsure how to proceed. It seems like a huge rip off and I am considering cancelling my Quickbooks subscription
Auto taxes are always wrong. I don't think they are calculating the county sales tax in Texas. How can we have this fixed?
Where to locate paystubs?
How do I change a contractors email address
Can anything in the workforce app be converted into spanish for those that cannot read English? Or is there a spanish version of the app?
I need a report that includes each sale for the pay period with a column for the tip for that sale. Is this possible in QB? I need to verify the tips are reported and then I distrubte them between employees and the only way to do this currently is to use the gopayment app and manually scroll them and check each transaction, which is time consuming.
