After the latest quickbooks update a whole bunch of old bills have showed up as unpaid (but with a negative amount due) - so for example there is an old bill form 2018 that was for $2,200, it now shows that it is due with a nance of -$2,200. This happened with the last QB update, but it was only a couple of bills so I adjusted them out. I tried going to utilities, verifying date and rebuilding data and this did not help. Help!

A brief description of the issue that I am facingWe have Visco integration and due to the security of Quickbooks Desktop - e.g. everytime are-authenticate pop happens, etc.The Visco integration stops working. At the moment the fix is to log into the server, close the pop up windowThen reset ViscoThe integration will start working again until the above happens againThis is what I have found regarding this issuehttps://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/other-questions/re-how-to-get-qb-to-stop-asking-me-to-log-into-my-intuit-account/01/1131162/highlight/true#:~:text=It%20is%20to%20ensure%20that,when%20opening%20the%20Company%20fileCan anyone advise on how we can stop this happening ? or is there a work-around?
When using the import file technique, the Name field is required. The name field is an individual's name. It can't be left blank.Does anyone have a workaround or hack if you don't have an individual's name or don't want to include it? If it is blank, does that skew the loos of the invoice? Thanks!
Currently have Quickbooks Online and need to send customer text reminding them of scheduled appointment.
I was working in quickbooks yesterday without issue. My accounts have an orange "i icon" 15 hours ago.
I am still using QBD 2020 Prem.I have a Capital One CC, which allows export of a QBO file. On the CC web-site when I select the file type even refers to QB with type QBO.I got the import to work once, saw my transactions, but when I now try to import the QBO I get a popup (see attachment), that I am using an account type that QB does not support. Well, QBO were supported for the longest time, plus, QBO for CC should be supported as well.I checked the QBO details, and it sure looks like a correct file, having the correct CC identifiers mating the value in the QB account. The popup tells me to contact my financial institution, but I know the QBO is correct. Can somebody tell me what the problem is?
Our non-profit receives in-kind donations that we then sell at a silent auction at our annual fundraiser. I want to enter them as sales receipts so that the donors will be given credit for the items. When we were using QBO I followed the steps of entering a sales receipt, creating a bill, then paying the bill. I have the In-Kind Donations and In-Kind Clearing accounts set up. Now we are using QuickBooks Desktop and that does not seem to work. When I went through the same steps with QBD, an extra entry was left in the Clearing Account.
I need to set up booth rental for my studio. How do I do this in quickbooks desktop, and is there a way to get automatic payments from the vendors?
The manufacturer has updated the product number for an item. I would like to merge the old product number into the new product number, but I get this message. ! Something’s not quite rightQuickBooks is unable to merge inventory items. I have merged other products like this, so I'm not sure what the problem is with these products.
I just cannot read my credit card register. When I try to open up my credit card register in various ways (Chart of Accounts, Reconcile, Expenses).......The red alert prompt says "Something's not quite right" and then it says it cannot read properties of null.
Why won't the second computer recognize the password from the first computer when trying to move Quickbooks using Migrator Tool? We have tried several times and have recopied qb and set a new temporary password several times.
Is there a way to prevent users from approving tasks in Workflows that are not assigned to them? This seems like a critcal error by QB... For example: If I assign Task 1 to User A and Task 2 to User B, User A can go in and approve Task 1 and Task 2. They have to carefully/conciously look for only the tasks assigned to them (i.e. don't just approve everything in the task list) and QB does not prevent users from approving other people's assigned tasks. Please let me know if anyone knows a way to prevent this. Workflows is pretty useless if not.... very disappointed.
QB will freeze if the program is not used within an hour time. New computer, Windows 11, Clean Instation of both Windows 11 and QB Premier 2021 (also reinstalled QB a few times [tried different versions]). Checked hardware, had the company file checked by Intiuit Data Service, and check all software. Removed all unnecessary software. Moved the company file to Windows 10 on a different computer and had no problems with it working in Windows 10. Had an Intuit Specialist who remoted in for 12 hours trying to solve the issue and was not able to. I have done everything that Intuit support has suggested with no luck. What the heck is making QP freeze when the program is not being used? This all started in May/June 2023. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks...
Is there a way to get QuickBooks online to look like QuickBooks desktop?
when i want to enter a bill after adding all items from stock list and press save i get this error:"Select a different type of account for this line. You can only select an accounts payable (A/P) or accounts receivable (A/R) account on the first line of a journal entry and it can only be used once in the same transaction."somewhere i read that it can be resolved by rebuilding data and one time it worked but now i used everything and i cannot enter any bill because of this error. any one knows the solution?
It has been my personal account but I now only use for business. I can log in to Oauth to link my amex fine, I can find the card and select it, but then I get the error when the screen tells me it is "Connecting to American Express Corporate or Personal Credit Card (US)..."
Is there a way to undo an approval of a task in Workflows? I am having to delete an invoice and re-enter it if an invoice needs a change after it is approved or if the wrong approver approves the invoice/task. Workflows allows any user to approve a task even if it is not assigned to them. That is a seperate problem I would also appreciate help on... MAJOR FAULT.
Using QBD Enterprise - I want to create a test copy of our company file. I have read different articles where some suggest to simply copy and rename the company qbw file in windows file explorer, and some say to create a backup, then restore from that backup and rename. Which is the right way, or are both of these methods ok to use?
If I set up three levels for the chart of accounts do I still need to set up products and services?
I've entered an invoice that will amortize revenue over three months. I've applied a credit card payment to the invoice. Now, after the end of the first month of the invoice, the revenue account has two line items for the amortized revenue. And then when I delete the invoice, one line item of revenue still remains in that account. What's going on?!?! Is anyone else seeing this?
I am reporting A scam call I received today claiming to be from Quickbooks support. They stated that they wer unable to process the payment card on file because it is either not in service or I may not have enough funds in my account. This is a scam because I do not have any payments due or being paid at this time. and my current card on file is accurate. I don't need an answer unless you can tell me where I should report this. This is not an email. It was a telephone call.
20 Years using QB desktop Now VERY STREESSED OUT. QB has hijacked my files from past 20yrs, just like the hackers that ask for ransom money to get computer back. HELP!!! I own the 2022 version and can't access anything.
