Hi. Using Desktop 2020 and for some reason when I pull Expense by Vendor Detail I can't get payment to show up under the "Type" heading just "Bill" shows up. I went through the filtering options and still not working. It used to be the default option? Any thoughts? Thanks.
I'm trying to create a rule in Quickbooks Online that will assign a class to an expense downloaded from PauPal based on the amount of the expense. For an expense over a certain amount, the expense (in this case, paypal fees) would be assigned to one class. And for an expense less than a certain amount, it would be assigned to a different class. I've tried various options, including designating specific amounts rather than above and below, but none of them work. I noticed that the rules include a minus sign in front of the amount (picture attached). I tried adding a ,minus sign to the rule, thinking Quickbooks can't figure out how to deal with this situation, but that is not allowed. Any ideas?Thanks.

Credit card 3009 and 1002 are two separate credit card accounts under my name however they are using the same login on American Express's website.I am trying to link both credit cards however once I link one, the other is no longer linked.What am I doing wrong?
The image on receipt snap is no longer working. I upload the image and it says that it’s uploaded but in fact it’s not. Now I cannot see the receipts on any of the prior ones that I uploaded even from 2024. This is on the App. I have an Apple phone. I did all of the troubleshooting that was recommended and it did not work. Please advise!
I've gone into "Manage Users" and don't see access for that. Currently, everytime I'm timed out I have log back in with username
Whenever the system asks me to log into a recently logged-in account (I don't have a screenshot right now but I'll be able to get one at some point) that login fails after I put in my password. I'm using Chrome. When that happens, I can go to an incognito window and the login always works. Then it starts working in the regular browser once the cookies have expired. I don't really have time to troubleshoot this, and it's easy to work around, but it's still annoying and has been an issue for many months.
I am new to QBE Platinum and wanted the system to auto generate the next Lot Number. Can this be accomplished?
We are a publishing company with several authors that earn royalties based on sales. Anyone have any suggestions on how QBO could handle royalties based on sale of their product? I supposed commissions could work the same way if they can be tied to product and not customer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Previously, QuickBooks Desktop was able to save our SMTP password without issue. However, now that our clients are using Microsoft 365 with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), they've had to create 'App Passwords' in order to send emails through M365. The problem: QuickBooks Desktop no longer saves the SMTP password. Here’s what happens: We open QuickBooks Desktop and log in.When we try to email an invoice or estimate, a dialog box appears asking for the SMTP password.We enter the App Password, and the email sends successfully.As long as we keep QuickBooks Desktop open, it continues to send emails without asking for the password again.However, once we close and reopen QuickBooks Desktop, the SMTP password prompt appears again. This issue occurs consistently across multiple installations and clients. Why is QuickBooks Desktop no longer saving the SMTP App Password for M365 accounts?Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
QB Pro user here for over 9 months- things were working fine mostly, but today, after doing a batch receipt of multiple payments, the received payments do not show up under 'Bank Deposit.' Hence, I cannot actually deposit these received payments into my bank account. Why is this happening all of a sudden? Is it a bug? Also, I would like to report another bug, though it likely has more to do with QBO Developer- I noticed that when I do a batch processing of invoices using QBO API, under QB v.75, the batch gets processed twice. I switched back to v.74 and the batch processing works fine as normal. Thanks,

I upgraded a company file and now my direct deposit for a contractor has disappeared. There is no option to "activate" direct deposit under my payroll service.

I just got an email that tags are being removed from QuickBooks online, how does everyone feel about this? I personally find lots of uses for tags and don't understand why QuickBooks would completely remove, I'm not too fond of the idea of having it set up like "Locations" and "Classes". As a bookkeeper it is a convenient discreet way to mark transactions so I can pull reports later. I like the different colors. Example: I have a tag group "accounting" with options such as "Needs Further Review", "Missing Information", "Confirmed with Owner". I also use for client specific tags that is makes more sense as a discreet tag. Honestly, this makes me wonder about Intuit QuickBooks abilities to create good software when you remove something as basic as tags, it makes me wonder if maybe the software engineer just forgot to include in the next update and that's the real reason. Hi there,Our new QB Online is set up to sync with Clio for our client trust and operating bank account(s). This causes the Client Funds bank account to appear in the QB General Ledger and on reports. And, to also requires balancing separately from the balancing in Clio where the 3-way reconciliation feature works (and is required for our industry). It would be great if we did not have the General Ledger involved with these client trust accounts since they are neither our funds, nor affect our financial picture. I would like to be able to set up checks in Clio, the way it currently works, and have them printable through QBs without having to link the Client trust bank account to our business general ledger. We do clearly need the sync between the two for client payments to the Operating bank account, so we can't just shut down the sync entirely.Does anyone know of a way this can be done?
