QuickBooks Q&A

I have a client that lost their entire QB in December. Literally everything and no backup. I am trying to enter 2021 YTD payroll numbers so that I can attempt to process year end. I have NOT run payroll yet this year, but will need to ASAP. When I go into the Employee setup, it only lets me add 2022 numbers. Help, what is the best way to accomplish this task. I have several other tasks to get done, but this one is the most important of the situation. Thank you, Lissa
I want to send a customer a statement of only their open invoices. The system is including half drafted invoices that are not complete and have not been sent to the customer.
With a fresh install of Quickbooks Online Desktop on a brand new computer I receive a pop-up that states "Apple Could Not Verify "Quickbooks Online" is free of Malware". Screenshot attached. It used to work great and I really appreciate the convenience of the desktop app, however this is a wee bit concerning. Any ideas?

As with others I was forced to move to Online, though I greatly dislike the business model of subscriptions unfortunately there is no option these days. Long story short the migration was terrible as there were a tremendous number of incorrect transactions, duplicates...... that were brought into the online system. This would not have been so bad if the software was able to move quickly. We are in our 3rd month and it is getting worse not better as the further we dig into reports the slower it gets.We are REALLY struggling with the following:1. The software, both Online and the Desktop app are INCREDIBLY slow, between clicks is often 5-10 Seconds of watching the green dots spinning on the loading screen. I have tried Private mode in the browser, cleared cache, service at all our location is full Gigabit speeds nothing that found in the guides offered any help. I will say the the online browser is better than the Desktop App but the flow of the App is much m
Hi, I am running a General Ledger report to send to our auditor. On some of our transactions in the Class column, instead of listing the individual classes, it lists -MULTIPLE- because multiple classes were used for that entry. Is there a way in the General Ledger report to expand the -MULTIPLE- entries to show the individual classes? I know that I can click on each line item individually and get the detail, but I'm hoping I can just expand the report to include everything. I'm working in QuickBooks Accountant Pro Plus 2024. I have attached a screenshot of what I'm referring to.Thank you.Katrina
I am trying to figure out where Intuit gets their database from. I just received a random pre-qualified loan offer for an entity that I do not think even exists but is associated with my mailing address. Nothing on Google, state registration, or LinkedIn. I am curious how to get my mailing address removed or updated to be associated with my company and not randomness like this.
Instead- this requires the backup of an entire company and then copying the results of the backup to the new company. Then the new company needs to be reviewed to make sure all the data has come across correctly. Possibly custom reports need to be recreated. All in all, a complex time consuming process for a non-profit that often has little technical staff. At the end of the day, the non-profit is running the exact same software.
We set up price rules a couple months back and it's been great - drastically simplified and streamlined our invoicing now that we're not having to update pricing for different accounts. This worked more or less without issue until today, when I was entering invoices for orders that came in over the weekend only to find that the rounding for the price rules was no longer working, resulting in pricing in the 1000ths decimal ($0.00#), which is not at all what we want. Attached is one such example. A product that has a standard list price of $10.25 has a price rule for some of our larger accounts to discount by 3%, rounded to the nearest $0.05, which brings the price to $9.95 and, up until this morning, this price rule worked without issue. Now the pricing on invoices is skipping the rounding and is now listed at $9.943, which has necessitated manually updating the pricing on all our invoices now. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, as this is seriously slowing down our inv
I inherited this business (nonprofit) QuickBooks Online account when I came into this new job, and I've discovered a number of issues I'm trying to fix. When our monthly donations come through PayPal, they are automatically categorized as a "sales receipt" instead of a deposit, and they do not go into the correct revenue account. There is a "service" item for "PayPal Monthly Donations" which appears to link to the correct revenue account, but that's not even the one they're going to. They're all going straight into "PayPal Sales", which is messing up my ability to accurately track our fundraising and isn't useful to my record-keeping as I prefer to track sales by item instead of into a general bucket account.I've seen that I can go in and manually change these receipts to a deposit when they come in each month, and then re-enter all of the information about what they donated and what the PayPal fees were, but this takes a long time, and I can't imagine doing it every month. I would like
Can I add a column for the item sales price to the project estimate template in QuickBooks Enterprise?
Just wanted to import my sales receipts from excel to Quickbooks. Why can't we do as simple as that? We can import invoices but not Sales receipts.
Has anyone else noticed, after editing an invoice in the "turn heads and open wallets" window (Gear Icon > Your Company > Custom Form Styles, on a desktop computer), that the actual invoices look completely different than the "preview" that is shown on the right-hand side of that window?? That's because the preview in that window is of an invoice in landscape orientation, but actual invoices seem to ALWAYS be in portrait - I don't even see an option to print an invoice in landscape orientation! How incredibly nonsensical.

I have been using QBO and Square for over a year with minimal issues. Since last week, my credit card transactions from Sqaure stopped synching with QBO. The cash transactions from Square synch but not the credit card transactions. QBO says this is a Square issue. I tend to disagree since the cash transactions synch.
I'm not sure how to accept a check since it's not cash and traditionally it's always gone into undeposited funds until I deposit the check. Is there a way to get undeposited funds or even the bank account to show back up in the app when receiving a payment through the app?
I need to go back to my 2023 and recode these transactions. I need help on what I should code them.
Updated incorrect account number for my bank account prior to pay day, Did not receive my pay. Was instructed to reach out to resolve. Have attempted all morning to get Rep to direct me on how to do so. Please advise.
Intuit is charging us for an account that we do not use. Who can we call to resolve?
Attempting to reach the PAYROLL TEAM to discuss my issues with my payroll. I had put in the incorrect account number for my bank account. I have updated in Quickbooks and need to know the next steps to take. I was informed to contract to get this resolved. I was informed from a rep to contract the PAYROLL TEAM with no instruction to do so. I am trying to get this resolved ASAP. Please advise.
